Review 1：Incredibly bad value. Facilities were poor, bathroom very basic and only protected by frosted glass from the corridor so people passing could see your outline in the shower or toilet. Breakfast was very poor. If we had paid $50-80 it would have been fair value. The cost was $250. No heritage features in our 3rd floor room.

Review 2：The only redeeming features were the good location and the large room. They moved us to their sister hotel, Promenade, for the 2nd night and that was very good

Review 3：The rooms are very tired and the bathrooms were in poor condition, the shower and bath not good. The bed was not comfortable. The place needs refurbishing . We had been there four years ago and it was really good. Very sad as it is in a nice building . Surprised as it is owned by hidesign who make excellent quality handbags etc.

Review 5：We were ALLOTTED a ground floor room as we are both 70+.but the antique bed was very high and difficult to get into. The hangers in the cupboard could not be reached, no racks for luggage also no spray cleaners in the commode.

Review 10：the hospitality of the staff, the colonial yet comfy rooms, the food. it is cozy, romantic and just wat u need for the perfect getaway.

Review 11：We asked the person at the desk for directions to a cafe, and he completely misdirected us. We wandered around for an hour or so, only realizing later that the cafe was just a couple of minutes away from the hotel! Surely it's not too much to ask for staff who have at least a basic understanding of geography, or if not, are willing to admit to their ignorance.

Review 13：This is one of the best staying experiences I have had in a hotel in India. The heritage villa has a great character and rooms are really well appointed. It is the service that really sets it apart from other hotel. The staff are courteous and seem genuinely eager to help. If you want to stay in white town in Pondicherry this is the place you should choose.

Review 14：Room had poor lighting. Switches on only side of the bed making it inconvenient. Towels were not replaced - we had only one towel. No tea sachets on the 2nd day.. Quality of tea/coffee was poor - served wrong repeatedly. Food service was very slow. No wifi most of the time.

Review 17：Overall,I liked the fact that nothing was too much trouble.( I experienced many problems with my phone and Dev & Sudesh went out of their way to assist.) Also loved the friendly, smiling staff , cleaners, waiters etc.There was a wonderfully appreciated consistent standard across the entire staff. This against the backdrop of such a charming and quaint heritage venue made my stay there so completely satisfying. I felt like part of the "Family" and I did not want to leave. Highly recommended

Review 18：The absolute tiniest of rooms and they have gone an inserted a cubicle for an shower right inside the room! Another cubicle for the loo and the sink of the bathroom faces the bed. All this at the price we could have very easily have booked a 6 star, luxury penthouse. While I appreciate that this is a 'heritage' location (one of the reasons I had booked it), this is well and truly a complete rip-off.

Review 19：We really liked the individual furnishing of the rooms and hotel in general. The breakfast was very pleasant and served in the courtyard which was lovely. The property is right in the centre and an easy walk to most places including the seafront.

Review 21：The property is a beautiful villa which has an old world charm. Very good for a quiet intimate experience. The staff was very helpful and the food was delicious.

Review 22：The fact that room we stayed in was very dusty. Had to ask staff to clean room. We also did not enjoy being placed on the second floor. We had to walk 4 flights of stairs each time we needed to get something. That itself was tiring. I think the staff should with guests before assigning rooms on the top floor to guests. We did not enjoy being there for sure.

The help at the reception with travel, transport, food and everything else was helpful.. The location is superb. Even after check out, they helped us store our luggage in a room with no limits on time! Before we left pondicherry, we used that room to freshen up and pack the last tit bits.. Really helpful!
