Reviews for Residenza D'epoca Tamara

Review 1:Approached by steep steps outside and no lift inside make it unsuitable for disabled travellers

Review 2:Superb location high up on the hill overlooking town and sea. Good restaurant nearby

Review 3:If you are planning to drive by car to this location, you need to be prepared for the road (it is a bit curvy and no lights in the evening). The beds were very hard, unfortunately.

Review 4:Castellabate is a very nice place to visit. The apartment was very nice. We had two bathrooms and a balcony with a beautiful view. The owners were very nice to us! If we needed something, they helped us very well. Private parking was good and airco as well! Grazie!

Review 5:the breakfast was really nothing special (apart from the good coffee). It would match the rest of there was fresh juice and good bread.

Review 6:the location, the owner, the room, the view were amazing.

Review 7:Loads of uneven, steep steps. Our hosts were going to upgrade us but that would have meant even more steps so we stayed in the room originally booked. Our room was adjacent to the main door of the building and was noisy in the mornings with peop;e banging the front door and banging up and down the stairs.

Review 8:The views from the breakfast terrace

Review 9:You are going to stay in a real historical center: for us it was just delightful to walk along the alleys and the steps, but be sure to inquiry property about accessibility if you have some walking difficulties.

Review 10:View from room Isabella was really superb! Mr. Ciro was extremely kind to us and provided very useful suggestions about the surroundings sightseeings. The entire region of Cilento was a very pleasant surprise,

Review 11:we were unlucky bout the weather and heating was poor.

Review 12:superb location and historic house very nice, although carrying teh cases up the steep stairs was tough

Review 13:If you are willing to find a place to relax some days, this bb is the best option. There s a nice garden with a magic view on the sea. The owner is very kind and professional.

Review 14:limited car parking, if you are not "mobile", you may find yourself deserted on the hilltop. The layout of the residence is somewhat "communal" and you'd have to book one of the rooms on the top floors to get more privacy.

Review 15:Great location but not all rooms have views, check beforehand. Clean bathroom, water pressure decent, towels new

Review 16:There is no such a thing what we don't like there.

Review 17:This place is amazing. Really, we stay there for 5 nights and we enjoyed every minute.Super sea wiev from mountain, down to city San Marco. Very clean and best sleep ever. But even more amazing is owner Ciro. We was so late chek-in like 3.am morning but he was there meet and help us. Help us all the way. Look's like we got new friend from Italy. You stay in Residenza Tamara - and you never been be disappointed.

Review 18:No view from the rooms - we tried three. Possibly with language barrier- no information on breakfasts or where to go so we didn't have them. Hard bed

Review 19:The website was the selling point for me. The staff although having little English were pleasant. The rooms were clean. Edge of village life

Review 20:Lack of info such as a plan of the town. I know we should have learnt Italian, but the staff didn't really speak English.

Review 21:Fantastic views, clean room. Quite a good location with three restaurants within easy reach, once you knew the steps led to the top of town. The restaurant next to the hotel was very good. Ogliastro nearby had a lovely beach.

Review 22:Nothing - however if you don't like steps this is not the place for you.

Review 23:The town is gorgeous and the views amazing.

Review 24:Superb location. Wonderful hosts. Incredibly helpful owner.

Review 25:Stairway to the appartment No balcony

Review 26:Castelballate is a nice village with restaurants and bars. Close to the beach

Review 27:Carrying bags up the staors to the rooms, steep and quite a few steps.

Review 28:The Residenza is family owned and operated, very casual and very nice. Great location in this sweet town, perched up on the hill and amazing views. We had a very nice room overlooking the sea with a balcony.

Review 29:Low ceiling beams and low shower head pressure, otherwise no issues.

Review 30:Ciro the great host and always ready to serve. Our apartment was large and clean, and conveniently located in Castellabate with easy car access and parking. Great position overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and beautiful sunsets behind island of Capri from our balcony. The other Ciro - great chef of the Principessa Ristorante (part of the same complex) - cooked some of the best meals in the region! Would definitely come back here again.

Review 31:We loved everything!

Review 32:Amazing staff, Ciro was so hospitable and very helpful with rides and a New Years Eve restaurant reservation. The people in Castellabate were the best part. Castellabate is amazing, very pretty, very high up on a mountain, great views. Our apartment was excellent too, well-equipped kitchen. All good!

Review 33:Nothing... No we are not relatives.have traveled in Europe six monthsand this was a highlight

Review 34:We lived everything about this place. Just go there ! The staff werewonderful. Friendly, proud of what they have built. The views are jawdropping. Did excellent. Luxury in an old renovated hilltop place.

Review 35:The rooms were very hot,we thought the extra cost for the airconditioning was strange. That is not usual in our experience in Italy. Kitchen was poorly equipped and the pots were ruined.

Review 36:The place was simply fantastic. Stunning views from the restaurant which overlooked the bay and hills, sunset was divine. The place was set in an idylic rural setting, with imposing views within a medieval heritage site. You have to expereince this place, simply the best. The staff were really lovely and made our stay very comfortable, including the trip around the port and surrounding towns in their auto rikshaw. Want to go back!

Review 37:The only negative i can say is that the ceiling of the bathroom is quite low and you need to be careful otherwise you easily bang your head. The wifi doesn't work in the room

Review 38:The owners are very friendly. The view from the room is just AMAZING, i recommend the room with the sea view is really worth it. The room is big and has all the necessary facilities, though it's good if you bring with you a coffee or something as there is kitchen and it is very nice to sit on the balcony.

Review 39:The place is great with Ciro always caring about everything, the village, the views, the food...

Review 40:Incredible view, frendly sfaff.
