Reviews for Al Mutran Guest House

Review 1:1) We had problems with our luggage from the bus. The staff was exceptionally helpful. 2) We had after torrential rain a slight leakage onto one of the beds and were immediately transferred into a vacant hut.

Review 2:The bad part was the temperature in the rooms, which was cold. Specially according to the price.

Review 3:We like Odi, the owner, that was very kind and friendly, always ready to help. And the place is very nice and pretty.

Review 4:The guest house in itself is absolutely beautiful. An old house full of spirit. On top of this it is inhabited by a group of wonderful employees who welcomed us and made us feel absolutely comfortable. On the night we arrived we were even given a throrough introduction to the city and it many sites. In the morning a wonderfully fresh, full and traditional breakfeast is served. I couldnt think of a more lovely place to stay.

Review 5:I discovered Al-Mutran a couple of years ago and was glad for the chance to return. This time a friend and I stayed on the 3rd floor, which has a beautiful common area, shared balcony, and great views of Nazareth. Most of the rooms evidently have double or queen beds, but we requested twins and staff made the switch with no problem (thanks, Odeh!). The location is perfect for visits to Elbabour, Church of the Annunciation, Old City, restaurants, and more. Great breakfast, too.

Review 6:No bad experience. Just tricky to find this lovely place; make sure you do so in daylight. Best landmark: it's right next to the Greek Orthodox Church

Review 7:Warm welcome from Odeh & his helpfulness. Breakfast--delicious! Getting front door key as though it's yr own home. Communal table & fridge (with milk ?) on each floor. Historical Nazareth photos on the walls.

Review 8:the house was old and charming. There was a lovely outdoor patio where I sat in the enjoying peaceful, clean air. Staff immediately fulfilled my every wish. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a buffet with great many choices and generous.

Review 9:A little difficult to find

Review 10:The location is ideal, and the house is so atmospheric and charming. The manager and staff are so friendly and helpful. Everything you want to see in Nazareth is within walking distance. And there is parking!

Review 11:Our teens slept in a different room in two single beds and said they weren't very comfortable.

Review 12:The location is great, the host Emil is friendly, communicative and kind. The house is well kept and the rooms are air-conditioned. The atmosphere of Al Mutran guesthouse is inviting and peaceful.

Review 13:That I couldn't stay longer and stroll down old Nazareth.

Review 14:The staff, especially Emil, were very friendly and always available to assist you. Being in a 200 year old Palestinian home was an amazing experience. I would strongly recommend it to my friends.

Review 15:The place has atmosphere and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Well situated in the middle of old Nazareth, close to the best restaurants and the central bus station.

Review 16:We felt welcome instantly and enjoyed the whole experience and hospitality of Emil who manages the guesthouse. Our room was very big and comfortable and we had no issues whatsoever!

Review 17:Room not cleaned daily. Bathroom very fusty. Bedside lamp not very user friendly

Review 18:Guesthouse well located. Host/family member very helpful and warm character who was available most of the day and evening. Breakfast made to order and very tasty and homemade.

Review 19:None at all!

Review 20:The owner and his wife make you feel at home and know the area very well! The omelets in the morning were a plus and the rooms were comfortable. Just a great place to stay!

Review 21:The bed was very unconfortable, and it was impossible to sleep after 6AM because there were no blinds. Price was too high considering the quality of the room and hotel.

Review 22:The location was great. The breakfast was also very nice.

Review 23:There was quite loud music playing most of the time, which I found annoying (others may like that). There was a light outside my room which was on all night and shone through the blinds. On arrival the room didn't look as nice as the photos on booking.com, and the en-suite was tiny, but for the price the room was good and clean.

Review 24:Great staff, very eager to help with anything. One of them came to meet me from the bus as I arrived after dark and couldn't get my bearings! Fantastic breakfast. Excellent, central location.

Review 25:Emil's warm welcome (with some Arabic coffe)and our excellent breakfast made our stay memorable. Room 10 has no street windows looking out (just one above the door) and can get loud as the door is thin.

Review 26:The room was far too small for the price we paid and very noisy that we could hear other guests talking in the middle of the night as if they were in the room but Emile was extremely helpful in everything else.

Review 27:Emile, the owner, helped us and made our visit to Nazareth memorable.

Review 28:location in old city, everything at walking distance, gorgeous Ottoman-style house, with inner terrace, spacious and stylish room with modern bathroom, quiet at night, great bed, great breakfast and above all Emil the host who creates the perfect oriental atmosphere and treats you as an old friend. Marvellous.

Review 29:Great location, friendly and attentive staff, excellent breakfast (tamarind juice is a welcome break from orange juice!), spacious room with high ceiling, and great location on edge of old city convenient to its markets and to many of the religious sites

Review 30:NOTHING EXCEPT EMIL, THE MANAGER, MADE EXCELLENT BREAKFAST AND VERY GOOD SERVICE.

Review 31:Emil the manager in charge is excellent and honest, 7 stars foe Emil.

Review 32:Parking was a challenge. Need a small car to negotiate the small street and tight turns.

Review 33:For the budget-minded traveler, this guest house is excellent. Our host Emile served a great breakfast daily, helped us with directions and advice on sights to visit, and made us feel very welcome. The place was clean and comfortable, and except for the church bells next door on Sunday, quiet.

Review 34:We liked everything.

Review 35:The location was perfect, close to Mary's Well and Basilica of the Annunciation, with parking outside. Proprieter was very helpful, hospitable and welcoming. We stayed three nights as a base for seeing Galilee and the place felt like home. Nice nearby restaurants, great breakfast, esp. omelettes, free wi-fi, personal bathrooms and good air conditioning (fans or aircon unit). Lovely communal areas for relaxing, and great balconies with views. All importantly - it was quiet, away from the bustle. Highly recommended.

Review 36:Try to avoid sunday in nazareth, everything is closed....

Review 37:Superfriendly owner, we arrived on sunday @ 1 pm and were the only guests! Emil, the owner gave us a lot of great advices for nazareth and around (sea of galilee, tiberias...) and we had a couple of very nice chats with him. The rooms were large and very cozy, fresh towels and bedclothes, clean and renovated. AC was included and a fantastic view on nazareth (from the balcony on 2nd floor by night... Best view!). The house is in walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and of course main sights. Overall if you stay in Nazareth you should definetely go for Al-Mutran

Review 38:very nice experience

Review 39:There was no hot water at the evening, nor in the morning, unless we ask what happend, we were waiting 1 hour to fix it.

Review 60:We loved the atmosphere! Emir always directed us on the right path for what we wanted to see. The rooms were very clean and enjoyable.

Review 61:The warmth and generous hospitality of our host, great atmosphere and communal living area made our group visit a huge success.

Review 62:The service is amazing!!! Breakfast is delicious and ubication is central

Review 63:Our only dislikes were minor. The hotel takes a bit of finding when you arrive. Parking is awkward, like it is everywhere in Nazareth.

Review 64:The manager Emil was a fantastic help. The rooms and surrounds were beautifully light and airy, and the breakfasts were delicious. The whole feel of the hotel was quiet and relaxed but elegant.

Review 65:Centrally located in a 19th century Turkish Villa. Excellent host. Sample communal rooms s.a. lounge, patio, balcony, restaurant make Al Mutran a homely stay.

Review 66:nothing... it is just a bit difficult to drive in the narrow street in front of the house, but not difficult at all to find (several signs on the way)

Review 67:everything : the kindness and carefulness of the owner, the superb location, the beautiful house and welcoming room, the excellent breakfast

Review 68:Tight parking but worth it for the location.

Review 69:We stayed one night in room 5. It had one queen bed that was comfortable. All of the rooms now have ensuit bathrooms. Ours looked new. The manager Emil spoke good English. He even made me some US style scrambled eggs on the morning. My wife loved the omelette with mint. Good place.

Review 70:Nothing

Review 71:The Best Guest House Ever. It meets all expectations and located at the best point of Nazareth. Be sure to stop by and enjoy this wonderful delight.

Review 72:it is not easy to understand what you book when you are travelling in group. if you optimize room occupation it will be less pricey. If you do not like steps, ask before about your room

Review 73:old house, center of Nazareth (beautiful cityBTW) owner is super, helpful and nice person breakfast excellent. rooms are renovated but still vintage and truly shabby, if you don't mind this, it is wonderful.

Review 74:At first it´s a little bit hard to find, old town is quite a maze of small narrow streets. But this is not really the hotels fault :-D

Review 75:Nice, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, in the heart of old town. In Nazareth it should be your first choice!!

Review 76:Everything was excellent!

Review 77:We really enjoyed our stay at Al-Mutran Guesthouse and would definately come back for another holiday. We had a very late arrival but it was no problem after we asked for it. I guess the best thing about this place is really Emil. He was so friendly and helpful to us that you felt somehow at home. Also we liked our deluxe room - very big and romantic with the candles. Location very central, parking awesome. Breakfast was delicious!!! Thanks again for this great week! Georg and Sabine

Review 78:1. Parking area is problematic. 2. Not simple find this place.

Review 79:1. Very good staff. 2. Located in the heart of the Old City of Nazareth is ideal for those who want to walk in it. 3. Excellent service, warm hospitality and welcoming. 4. The warm atmosphere. 5. Breakfast was tasty.

Review 80:The proprietor Emille' was awesome. He greeted me at the door when I walked in. Told me to have a seat and brought me some coffee and cake. He then took out a map of the old city of Nazareth and pointed out where all the main sites were. He then carried my bag to my room and showed me all the amenities. Every time I saw him he greeted me with a hello, or a goodbye if I was heading out. I need something printed, he did that for me. I wasn't feeling well, so he walked to the pharmacy to get me what I needed. Each morning he prepares a delicious breakfast that has breads, cheeses, hummus, dried fruit, tea, and his special coffee. He also cooks each guest an omelet to their liking. I didn't feel like I was in a hotel. I felt like an honored guest in his home. The Al Mutran is also perfectly located. Once my car was parked I didn't need to move it again for two days.

Review 81:Good location in the heart of the old town but consequentially difficult to access by car.

Review 82:Beautiful historic building with views across the city. Superb breakfast. Welcoming helpful host.

Review 83:It is a guest house not an hotel, so enjoy the real hospitality and be ready to discard some of the details (small bathroom, some stains, not perfectly decorated Windows)...

Review 84:The place is charming and super well located for the few attractions of Nazareth's. Above of all, the staff was amazingly kind and helpful for all out stay. Great breakfast enjoyed outsider in the warm sun is priceless

Review 85:What a Divine place to stay..really nice setting with a beautiful little fountain inside the building, beds are comfortable, room spacious, great breakfast, a free parking if you have a car, if you have not great as well as the place is close to everything you need to visit. and The cherry on the cake is our lovely host "Emile" who makes this place a little home for you..we book another night as it was so nice and also brilliant to eat out in the evening at walking distance :) Je recommande cet hotel vivement, c'est un endroit charmant, tranquille, et vraiment chaleureux, en plein centre de Nazareth, Emile, le receptionniste est un veritable ange qui illumine cet endroit et qui vous donnera de bons conseils. Cet hotel a ete un veritable havre de paix, on se sent a la maison et beaucoup de gens ont decide de reserver des nuits supplementaires car c'est vraiment genial!

Review 86:Parking can take some time since the neighbourhood is very crowded and streets are very narrow. Our matrass was a bit unstable so we woke up several times during the night.

Review 87:Nice and cosy guest house with typical arabic admosphere and nice few over town. Very friendly staff. Great to have a private water cooker available. Also the desktop with free internet access on the top floor is very useful. Would recommend going here!

Review 88:There was nothing we did not like

Review 89:The warm hospitality of our hosts, who went out of their way to be helpful. The welcome with a great cup of Turkish coffee.. A breakfast more special and tasty than ever, the proximity to the important sites, the atmosphere created by preserving the style of the older Arab building and furnishing with modern and convenient facilities..

Review 90:Very friendly and helpful owner, tasteful breakfast, good value for money. To find it: Mutran is arabic for bishop, so check the map for "Ha-Bishop-Square"

Review 91:The owner family is extremely friendly, a introduction and welcome drink is provided upon checkin. The guest house is within walking distance to any of the attractions in Nazareth.

Review 92:We stayed on the ground floor and it was a bit easy to hear noises from outside the building. Overall, the street outside is pretty quiet, but if you are a light sleeper maybe ask for a room upstairs.

Review 93:The building, rooms, and decor are all beautiful and feel very connected with the city. The staff were all very friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. Their personal recommendations for things to see and do in the area were also very helpful.

Review 94:I really liked the charm of this old house. I was immensely impressed by the hospitality and care shown to us by Emil who runs the place. Overall, the house and Emil made this a very most memorable experience for us.

Review 95:The service is excellent... we have been greated by the owner.Coffee or juice. This little place is very close to everything. Clean ...and they are happy to help you with anything you like. Its a traditional hotel so if you are expecting luxury then it isnt for you but like i said its clean and has got everything you need. Thank you ;) Enjoy your stay!

Review 96:We had booked a "deluxe double room", I wonder what the standard rooms are like as ours was rather small with a very small bathroom. The hotel was hard to find but had free parking and after giving up hope of finding the hotel by car we parked the car and walked there and then were given very clear instructions how to drive there.

Review 97:It was a really charming, atmospheric hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. We had a very good breakfast, individually prepared and the hotel was in a very good location with an excellent restaurant just round the corner (Sudfeh).

Review 98:it's very complicated to find since there is a neighborhood in the suburbs with the same name. One of the rooms was very beautiful but didn't have windows.

Review 99:Location. Style. Staff

Review 100:Wow! We came to Nazareth and did not expect such a lovely welcome from Emil. Al Mutran is a very special place indeed. Very peaceful and calm, beautiful interior throughout, very ornate and rustic feel which gives a sense of homeliness. Perfectly positioned next to the old city and the delicious Tishreen restaurant just 5 minutes walk away. Emil was very helpful during our stay and aided us with our touring too! - which was such a blessing! We totally recommend Al Mutran Guest House when coming to beautiful Nazareth - don't stay anywhere else! You will leave with an unforgettable experience. Thank you very much Emil!

Review 101:I love the guesthouse! A charming, cosy and quiet place in the heart of the city. Beautiful design. Excellent hospitality. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious and extensive breakfast. Additionally a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. No problems with Wi-Fi. Enjoyed relaxed breakfast at the piazza in the mornings, and the view of evening Nazareth from the balcony. It was a real pleasure to stay there!

Review 102:Old Arabian house with a lot of character and style. Personalised reception : you are made to feel like a guest in a house. There is no "hotel atmosphere". On arrival, the manager Emir presents you with a map of the old city, and indicates the places of interest. Delicious coffee is offered at all times.

Review 103:The stairs and the fact that there was nobody in the hotel for an hour, we had to call them to come and let us in.

Review 104:We liked location of this hotel, good shower, reasonable bed

Review 105:The hospitality at Al Mutran is very good. We've had a friendly welcome from Emile with some coffee and a small talk. The place looks lovely and is right in the middle of all the touristic views. We've had a very pleasant stay.

Review 106:Little expensive in general but for Israel the quality of the room is above and beyond many of the 'mid-range' options that we stayed in.

Review 107:Amazing room. Particularly the deluxe double. Also Emile is the most lovely man. He genuinely couldn't be more helpful. We changed from 3 days to 2 days then back to 3 days and finally 2 days as it made our travel to Jordan easier. He couldn't have been more accommodating. Stay in room 10 if you're a couple it is a delight. Beautiful city and Al mutran couldn't be better placed.

Review 108:The guesthouse is an old mansion in the middle of the old quarter of Nazareth. It still has original details such as the beautiful tiles but has upgraded the rooms with modern amenities. Emile is a great manager; friendly and knowledgeable.

Review 109:The rooms are small , and the toilette and shower were rebuilt inside the room, in rooms that were not designed for this.

Review 110:Great location (inside the old city) near the major attractions and restaurant area of Nazareth. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, self service, and nice combination of oreintal and western dishes.

Review 111:The common areas were comfortable and attractive. The views from the balcony were lovely over the city. The breakfast was generous and Imiel the manager couldn't do enough to make us comfortable.

Review 112:- A lot of noise during the night (some party going on in the vicinity, probably). Better sound insulation could have prevented us from not sleeping well

Review 113:- Excellent staff (competent, friendly, available) - Beautiful place - Perfectly located - Delicious breakfast

Review 114:nothing

Review 115:Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Excellent breakfast. Central location. Rooms and building full of charm. One of the nicest guest-houses I have ever visited!
