Reviews for Residence Due Torri
Review 1:There were a couple of things that we did not like about: - This is almost like a hotel with a guest staff at the entrance. He was ok. He offered some help with directions but didnt do much other than handing us the keys. - The ocean view rooms were over priced but we wanted to take it considering it was new years even - The apartment is located at a dangerous intersection and it is about a 15min interesting walk to the town of Maiori. There is absolutely nothing next to the apartment itself. You will need to walk or drive to the town for everything.
Review 2:We spent new years eve (2015-2016) and had a great time at this apartment: - This apartment was extremely clean and well kept. - Wonderful views of the ocean. We were able to watch all of the fantastic fireworks from many of the small towns facing the ocean. - Walking distance to Maiori town.
Review 3:They had turned the AC off because they only use it in the summer time even though the weather was very warm and bookings advertised it with AC included, this was a big inconvenience as the appointment is on a corner where bus's and truck's would beep there horn when approaching this would wake you up all night if you left to door open. Limited utensils in kitchen, all TV channels where not in English except for the new/cnn, the SKY TV was at an extra cost. The apartment is split in to 2 sections rentals and owners, as the owners side is closer to town, you cannot access this side of the building to enjoy the rooftop view of the town or take photo's this was disappointing as it is a very pretty town at night
Review 4:Nice appatment and great views from the balcony
Review 5:The road is quite noisy as the hotel is on a bend that cars and buses beep on to alert oncoming traffic. Quite a tricky road to navigate on foot.
Review 6:Parking was a bargain at €10 compared to paying for metered parking in town. Fantastic views across the bay. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We were given a free welcome drink in their nearby sister hotel. The room was spacious and clean.
Review 7:The sofa bed was not comfortable. The hotel has no reception desk.
Review 8:Amazing views form the terrace. Very fast free wi-fi. Quiet place, away from the crowds in Amalfi.
Review 9:No staff based at hotel the majority of the time. They offered to park our car in the garage but actually left it outside the hotel anyway! !
Review 10:The view over the bay with the illuminated tower below was exceptionally awesome. The apartment was large, clean and comfortable with a kitchen housing a big fridge, coffee maker, oven pans etc. Perfect for longer stays.
Review 11:We stayed on the fifth floor, in apartment 503, this time and was bothered by noise from some kind of machinery on the roof. Especially during night time when we needed to sleep.
Review 12:The location is superb, the views are stunning, the apartment is bright, clean and well equipped. Maiori is such a lovable town to live in in early October.
Review 13:Customer service. The "hill view" was in fact a "wall view". the concierge staff wasnt there and we had to go down in the main hall to have the chance to call the main hotel concierge for assistance.
Review 14:the one bedroom apartment that we got assigned was spaceful and clean.
Review 15:A Little bot out of the City (10 min to the Beach, 20 Min to the City Centre) First 10 min directly on Amalfitana
Review 16:Location with a fantastic view from the hill
Review 17:Towels were essentially a table cloth material and you had to pay for more
Review 18:The apartment was clean and spacious, the staff were extremely kind and helpful and the views from the apartment were fantastic even without a balcony. If you didn't want to walk into town, there was a shuttle service for 5 Euros, albeit much cheaper than the overpriced taxis.
Review 19:i have not had a bad experience here.
Review 20:Extremely clean, bright room with amazing views, friendly staff. We are from the United States and cannot visit often, but if we come here again, we will rent a week or so are residence with friends or family. Perfect location, reasonable for the price, kitchenettes are very convenient.
Review 21:Only path to hotel was a busy road and narrow shoulder - this for 100 meters.
Review 22:amazing balcony and view. Simple and nice apartment. Local beach is nice and just down the stairs. Try snorkeling and swimming into caves. Town was a pleasant surprise with good local vibe. Eat at K. San Francesco on the main beach.
Review 23:apartment 104 has no terrace you can sit on. To be outside, we had to go out onto the street, which is a real shame!!
Review 24:The location, near town - parking available in the building - the view - the food prepared at the hotel (200m down the hill) is really nice
Review 25:Wish it would have had a microwave.
Review 26:The location is amazing!!!! The private beach was a plus. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great air conditioning!!!!!
Review 27:Wifi a bit weak but not a massive issue!
Review 28:Everything. The pool was fabulous, the farmhouse rustic but very clean with a powerful shower. Loved our private terrace to sit out and look at the beautiful countryside. Perfectly peaceful and only a short drive to great wineries and restaurants
Review 29:If you are a light sleeper, the noise from the street might be a problem. Also, there is no kettle in the kitchen for tea lovers. Room cleaning is only once a week (I think it should be done a little bit more often). And sometimes there was a problem with the wifi (if you use 2 or more devices at the same time).
Review 30:our room was spacious, with a good kitchen (although it didn't have a kettle) and two balconies (in the kitchen and in the bedroom). The view was nice because we had a fourth floor. The hotel is not exactly in the center of Maiori, but it is very very close (about 5-7 minutes), the beach is even closer. Free wifi is fast enough. But the best part is the hotel administrator, Marina. She was extremely helpful and made our stay easier in every way! Thank you!
Review 31:No microwave and dish washer in the kitchen, apart from that everything was great. We stayed for 4 days, was expecting atleast the apartment to be cleaned once within this duration.
Review 32:Amazing location and view from apartment. Staff was very helpful. Covered parking available though at extra cost.
Review 33:A slightly wonky shower head.
Review 34:We are quite fussy travellers when it comes to accommodation, in terms of it being clean, modern and comfortable, and most of all value for money! And I can say without hesitation that Residence Due Torri ticks all of those boxes! The town- Maiori- where the apartment was located is right by the sea with stunning views of the Amalfi coast and plenty of nice restaurants to eat in. (Best restaurant in town food wise is Al Mare Restaurant & Bar, even better than Torre Normanna), which is on the way from the apartment to town centre, about 45 minutes’ drive from Pompeii. The apartment was very clean and modern, simple in its furnishings, but very functional, with plenty of space to put your cloths/other stuff, free safe in the room. It had a big fridge/ freezer, fully equipped kitchenette in case you wanted to cook. The apartment was cleaned and towels were changed once during our 7 night stay, which wasn't too bad, it had a secure entrance to the apartment block, a lift, vending machine downstairs, 24hrs reception in the hotel near by. Onsite parking is available for 10 euros a day extra charge, which is reasonable as the village is built on the edge of the mountain and there aren’t many parking lots available. Would definitely go back and absolutely recommend!
Review 35:Good view of sea and moutain, quite clean and big kitchen to use. Enough for a family of 4. With a bus stop in front of the hotel,it is easy to travel to the nearby towns or cities.
Review 36:We got a studio. Which was perfect for only the two of us... The studio was suppose to have a sofa-bed. But when we came, the bed was already out and it was difficult to put it back into a sofa... The biggest issue we had was that the bed was so uncomfortable that we woke up early each morning... I mean, really uncomfortable, even IKEA has better sofa-beds... Also because it is literally over the main road in Amalfi, you don't get to sleep in because of the noise below...
Review 37:The view is amazing! Even if the hotel is right above the main road in Amalfi coast, I could pretend that it wasn't by looking straight out into the sea... The location is also great, just outside Maiori which a few good restaurants and then you can walk to Minori... Again, the view is amazing with the terrace. I would probably go back, just for the amazing view...
Review 38:Wifi was terrible, went out every 2 minutes. Staff was always at thepartner hotel and never at the one I was at. Very hard bed. It wasnot free a/C.. It was centralized so only cut on for a certaincouple of hours.
Review 39:Great location if you want to be near almafi coast
Review 40:none
Review 41:We wanted to visit Amalfi Coast but we didn't want to be were all the tourist are... Maiori and Minori is perfect for this.... and Residence due torri was great. Very clean and staff very helpfull
Review 42:The distance from the centre was offset by the magnificent views from the apartment and the challenging walk to the centre.
Review 43:the accommodation was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped with fantastic views from both balconies. The picturesque aspect made up for the location from the centre of town. We enjoyed the local people and what they had to offer. We enjoyed the serenity while still having access the rest of the Amalfi Coast.
Review 44:Fabio welcomed us and has been extremely helpful with where to find things. The apartment is beautiful with an exquisite ocean view and balcony. The washing machines at the hotel meant we could keep up with our wash which was great. A fabulous place to stay.
Review 45:The bus driver from Salerno did not stop at the restaurant Normanni so we had to walk back up the hill with our packs.
Review 46:We enjoyed sitting on balcony watching the world go by - driving on the Amalfi coast is a spectator sport! Fabio was very friendly and helpful. the blue and white colours gave a fresh look to the room.
Review 47:Access with a car is tough, as it is anywhere on the Amalfi, but it worked. Road noise on the lower floors in particular, but part of the charm.
Review 48:Gorgeous 2 room apt with amazing views..very comfortable bed and privacy in the other room when having trouble sleeping.
Review 49:Reception was advertise as being present until 6pm, no one was there at my arrival at 5pm, by chance I was let in by a guest who informed me of the associated hotel 500m away and their phone contact. The hotel needed me to go to them and they were very confused about my advanced booking, which took them sometime to sort.
Review 50:I was upgraded to a room overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious and clean.
Review 51:Soulless decor. On a noisy, but beautiful, corner. Buses use their horn all the time. Mosquitoes
Review 52:Good value for money as it was " on special" Spacious
Review 53:Unfortunately we discovered many insects (ants) coming into the room andkitchen from a little crack in one of the windows. Also it was a bitnoisy at night as the place is right on the main coast highway which isalso a steep way to the beach, so better watch out. Paid parking (eur 10per day). Although if booking directly at reception parking is free(according to staff).
Review 54:The views on the sea and mountains from our room were breathtaking.Location is great - 5 minutes down the road and you're at the beachand the town of Maiori with many restaurants and bars. Amalfi and othercoast towns are very close (10-15 mins drive).
Review 55:Niente.
Review 56:Tutto! The very short walk to the nearest uncrowded little beach, and that anything else, if needed, easily can be reached by foot. The always friendly and accommodating receptionist Fabio. The wonderful view from our two balconies! The air condition and the wifi. The well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The friendly faces and beautiful landscapes of Maiori <3 We loved it all so very much and wish of all our hearts to be able to return next year.
Review 57:no wine glasses, noisy corner, but that's common for the area.
Review 58:good size rooms, excellent views, Laundry facilities on the roof, comfortable beds, on site secure parking. huge shower.
Review 59:Not recommended for families with small children as the main road to walk to the town is very dangerous (no footpath). The road is not the problem, the drivers are! The bathroom is clean but a little old fashioned. The shower unit could do with replacement but that's just being picky!
Review 60:Perfect spot for a holiday just outside the town of Maiori. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with amazing views. (The hill view is not that special so it's worth the extra money to get a balcony on the sea front)
Review 61:We liked everything! The room was clean, laundry facilities, the staff were so friendly, our view. Just a great experience overall. Short walk to beach - lots of steps but it's good excercise. Breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast! Thank you!
Review 62:The ants were a problem. The bed was very hard. The balcony was so small it would only fit one chair. The plumbing noises were varied and annoying. There was limited reception service. The internet was varied. The first floor apartment was not well positioned.
Review 63:The view was lovely. It was a spacious apartment. The use of a washing machine on floor 6 was useful.
Review 64:Excellent location, 200 yards from the small resort of Maiori. Access to private beach owned by hotel and apartments, with daily cost. Our apartment was on the 4th floor, very clean and well equipped. Ideal for exploring the Amalfi coast as on bus route, and boat trips are also available. Highly recommended.
Review 65:Excellent view!! Clean and important think is there is autopark!
Review 66:I was amazed at the view...very close to the beach and can take a boat tour to the rest of the amalfi coast, positano, and capri.
Review 67:We asked for a sea view and we received a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the beautiful sea. Friendly staff made an enjoyable staff.
Review 68:The road from Maori to residency was a little bit uncomfortable.
Review 69:In apartment everything was really good.
Review 70:Amazing view to the sea, great huge studio, very clean, parking space, great location to relax and visit the Amalfi coast
Review 71:The hotel was right on the coast line, providing immediate access to the beach and a quick walk down to the town with restaurants and shops.
Review 72:Location, view, rooms
Review 73:The smoke alarm kept going OFF, automatic shutters did NOT work properly, and The Sky TV system did NOT work.
Review 74:Location and privacy.
Review 75:The view!!
Review 76:the apartment was very nice
Review 77:The reception far from the tower to check in
Review 78:Everything was good
Review 79:Fabulous view from my balcony & bathroom! Great kitchenette! Free parking, friendly staff and very good WiFi signal!
Review 80:loved the kitchen facility and overall concept. very nice.
Review 81:you have to pay 10 Euro for parking
Review 82:view, cleanliness
Review 83:The sea view balcony and location
Review 84:Paying extra for the parking lot.

Review 90:Very spacious apartment, clean and new.
Review 91:The noise on the road. We used the air conditioning at night and slept well.
Review 92:The view was excellent
Review 93:The wi-fi was not great - the connection kept cutting out every few minutes and asking us to re-login.
Review 94:The view from the balcony is to die for!
Review 95:quietness location view cleanliness
Review 96:- nothing
Review 97:- excellent location - large terrace with breathtaking view
Review 98:couldn't open doors to deck. no soap or discloth in kitchen.
Review 99:View
Review 100:Absolutely no complaints.
Review 101:Staff willingness to do anything they could..........and always with a smile! A most enjoyable experience......thank you!
Review 102:It wasn't very easy talking with staff and getting clear answers. Furthermore the A/C did not work, but when we opened the windows we got bug bites all over.
Review 103:Room and location were excellent
Review 104:Fantastic location - a short walk into town. Fantastic position - almost overhanging the sea. Fantastic facilities - parking, restaurant, wi-fi. Spotless. Helpful staff.
Review 105:I could only get Wifi in the hotel restaurant on the 7th floor. The road is noisey with buses honking their horns(not the fault of the hotel) The paper shop which sells bus tickets tried to give us the tickets priced for locals 3 times. There is a heavy fine if caught. He knew what he was doing but just shrugged.
Review 106:The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fabio even helped me to check in on line using his computer. The apartment was spotlessly clean. We had 2 balconies with views to die for. Maiori is a beautiful, typically Italian town. The people were lovely. Glad we were there in May before the crowds arrive.
Review 107:Great spot with gorgeous views across the water. Swimming spot a few min walk. Only 5 min walk into town /,restaurants. Well equipped studio and good local shops. Salerno bound bus stop across road (terre normanna restaurant). Excellent value Excellent wi fi in our room
Review 108:Bit difficult to find on main road however you will go past it once into town then be alright on way back
Review 109:Good price, easy to walk down to town lovely town and area.
Review 110:Extremely noisy. You definitely need ear plugs in order to get any sleep! A lot of dead mosquitos on the walls, it simply feels uncomfortable when you see something like that.
Review 111:Nice location and spacious rooms. Great view of the sea.
Review 112:The location is perfect, just beside the sea, and also close to the center, the staff is friendly and nice, the room is super comfortable and fancy, we enjoyed here very much ! super recommand !
Review 113:Its on a bad bend so buses have to beep their horns on rounding it. This beeping can be disturbing. Also the patio in room 101 was too small for two deck chairs.
Review 114:It was very clean modern and well equiped. It had all we needed (except for a toaster!). Staff were top class with very good English . Great value .
Review 115:No dishwashing equipment in apartment with kitchen. No ashtray. Traffic noise.
Review 116:Excelent view. Good location - just around the corner of main promenade.
Review 117:You had to walk on the road for about 400m to get to the town which can be a bit dangerous. We were comfortable doing it with a stroller and you get use to it after a couple days.
Review 118:The view and the location were great! Miaori is, in my opinion, the best town on the Amalfi Coast with the biggest boardwalk and beach. The free parking was a bonus too.
Review 119:The apartment was very clean. And had an excellant view of the sea. It was also located near the town center, which made it convenient for meals at restaurants and grocery shopping at supermarkets.
Review 120:free but limited parking
Review 121:Most everything. There was a free laundromat. Easy walk to the nearby town. Clean and excellent view of the sea (for those units facing the sea).
Review 122:Wifi was so annoying you had to log in every 5 mins.
Review 123:Location provided amazing views, and just a short walk along the coast to the main town (4mins walk) Right next to the SITA bus stop making it easy for anyone travelling the coast. Loads of room and very well equipped kitchenette and laundry facilities. The guys on reception had great English and were very happy to help. Just make sure you call to let them know when you're arriving, as 12-2 is lunch.
Review 124:Road outside - bit of a hair raising short walk down hill to Maiori centre, but you'd encounter similar anywhere on this coast.
Review 125:Just got back from a 5 day break at Residence Due Torri packed with magical memories. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment with sea view - what a view! We couldn't drag ourselves away from the balcony for 2 days, it was absolutely stunning! It's worth paying the extra for a sea view, and also for the extra space in an apartment over a studio. Maiori is a perfect base on the Amalfi coast, not as crowded as Amalfi and Positano, but still very charming with plenty of restaurants and stores. Apartment is fully equipped, modern, clean, with air con & plenty of hot water. Brilliant value. Would definitely return.
Review 126:When cooking need to have windows open - smoke detector located inkitchen and sensitive.
Review 127:Location was great to visit this part of Italy. Great beach, best on thecoast. Hotel restaurant was excellent and just 2 minute walk down hilland good view of town.
