Reviews for Locanda del Bagatto
Review 1:Nice modern city hotel. The town of Milazzo itself wasn't very impressive (very crowded and parking was a challenge), but the restaurant next door was simply fabulous. It is owned by the same owners as the hotel and we had an amazing dinner there. The hotel rooms were nice and well maintained. The breakfast was good and the girl who took care of us during breakfast was very friendly and we had great chats about Dutch people and Sicilian people :-). If you have an overnight in Milazzo, this is the place to be.
Review 2:Nothing to do with the hotel. Be aware that Google maps gives the wrong location for this hotel.
Review 3:Close location to the Ferry terminals for the Aeolian Islands. One of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in and spotlessly clean. The attached restaurant also owned by the hotel owner is also special. Excellent all round. Thanks also for explaining the public parking arrangements. Will stay here again.
Review 4:The lady who greeted us went out of her way to be helpful - organising overnight parking while we went to Stromboli and arranging for our laundry to be done. She also kept our large suitcases for us overnight.
Review 5:Staff was never there so you had to find your way by yourself.
Review 6:Very nice modern room and restaurant, comfortabel beds, location near the harbour (Isolean Islands)
Review 7:Helpful and friendly staff. They organised car parking nearby and we were pleased that it was only a short walk from our stay to the ferry office. There are shops and restaurants nearby. Wished we had been able to stay there a little longer.
Review 8:An amazing find! This is a lovely hotel, comfortable bed, excellent location, nice bathrooms and showers, and a lovely restaurant attached. The lady at reception who checked us in was very helpful and even explained the parking rules in Sicily!
Review 9:The drains smelt a bit occasionally but that was not really a big problem!
Review 10:The staff were all lovely. Friendly, never rushed even though they were busy. I ate in the restaurant nearly every night and worked my way through the entire menu. Not one dud dish.
Review 11:Stairs are three flights up, but worth the climb!
Review 12:Very good welcome. Delightful people and the cooking is delicious. Given lovely room at the top with a terrace but as it is March it is not v warm yet to sit out.
Review 13:Nothing !
Review 14:Felt immediately welcome. Small but nicely designed bedroom. Quality of restaurant. Center location one block from Eolie island ferry. Free bicycle.
Review 15:Our warm welcome and being offered a much needed coffee and cold drinks after our road trip. Location was close to the ferry terminal. Very convenient walk to the local beach. The bonus was that Locanda del Bagatto has an excellent restaurant next door and the dining experience and service was excellent. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and it was complimented with a great bottle of red wine. Staff are very knowledgeable of the wines and as we are travelling through Sicily, we wanted to experience some of the best Sicilian wines. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were modern and funky. We had 2 rooms and we had plenty of room for luggage and wardrobe space. If you don't like walking up stairs, it may be a problem for some as they have no lift access to rooms. However, we did not mind.
Review 16:The service was great, the rooms were fantastic - what style! We only stayed there 1 night, but would highly recommend it.
Review 17:very close to the port, nice neighborhood, clean, trendy, comfortable, great price, nice staff!

Review 23:We loved the decor and the whole atmosphere. The fittings and fit out were 5 star - with a real artistic feel to the place. We ate at the restaurant and were treated like family. All the staff were warm and friendly. We couldn't more highly recommend it.
Review 24:the standart room was very small with out window facing out
Review 25:when we arrived at noon 'the hotel was closed and no answer at all/only after called booking the owener came/and .was very sorry/but it was after 2 hours they let us privat parking for one more day
Review 26:The setting, the interior design - an elegant mix of contemporary and traditional sicilian style, very charming, and the staff. Both owners are exquisite in welcoming their guests! I arrived over midnight and not only they were both there for me but the restaurant was still open and I was even kept company whilst enjoying my dinner!
Review 27:Very good kitchen in the restaurant ! Excellent food - the best we hadeaten in Siciliy. We know what we are talking about, since we own agourmand restaurant too. Very nice hotel/restaurant owners: Ourbest regards and best wishes from Belgium ! It is the place to be inthe area Milazzo !
Review 28:Make sure you get a room at the back in full season, the road can get very loud.
Review 29:Great little boutique in central Milazzo, perfect for a stop over to the Aolian Islands. The restaurant is very charming and has nice home made food and good wines. One of the best interior designs I've seen in the rooms!
Review 30:Hard to find something that Locanda del Bagatto could improve on,however, we didn't have the hottest water in our shower inthe morning.
Review 31:Locanda del Bagatto is the perfect spot to stay before a Aeolian Islandstrip. As most ferries from Milazzo run during daylight hours only andour flight arrived in the evening, we needed a place to stay beforebeginning a week long holiday on the neighbouring Aeolian Islands. Wewere expecting a pitstop style stay only, but truly our holiday beganfrom the moment we arrived. Every detail of Bagatto has beenthoughtfully considered for the traveller like us - the contemporarydesign of the room while small makes excellent use of the space, there's great lighting, climate control airconditioning, and wellappointed bathroom. The true highlight however is the adjoiningrestaurant, where we unexpectedly had probably the best meal of ourentire stay in Sicily. It's a traditional Italian family-runtrattoria (like the Locanda) with the freshest of locally sourcedingredients, an entertaining host, seating on the street to watch passers-by on a balmy summer's evening, all washed down with a cooling glassof limoncello at the meal's conclusion. Hotel guests are treatedgenerously and attentively vis a vis locals. The included breakfast thenext morning offers a generous continental spread of cakes and brioches, prosciutto and melon, yoghurts, and importantly, fantastic espressocoffee served to order. I would return to do it all again in aheartbeat. Grazie mille!
Review 32:No views from our room, only internal well with natural light. Aircon on the weak side.
Review 33:Great design throughout hotel and room, friendly service, accepts dogs, good breakfast (by italian standards)
Review 34:The room had no window to the outside. In my opinion that makes it a closet!
Review 35:Modern nice touches throughout.
Review 36:The room and the restaurant.
Review 37:Staff only speaks italian
