Review 1：They told us that we can check in at 2pm, however actually we wait until almost 3pm... It seems that They will never hurry up even you push them.

Review 2：Location is great. Inn is cheap, while being able to use swimming pool.

Review 4：The swimming pool and the perfect garden. Its really amazing, i loved every detail about that place. And the people that work there, they are very kind.

Review 5：The staff didn't wanted to help us, concerning they didn't seem to have a booking from booking.com. In general quite unfriendly manager, but at least not all staff like that. At the end we worked it out.

Review 6：Big resort, good area in Kuta. On the main street. Quiet and green in the back. Cheaper than expected.

Review 7：Room was not very clean, shower hadn't been cleaned for quite sometime, bedside table was hanging off the wall and un-usuable. It was a cheap room, but was very very average for cleanliness and general up keep maintenance wise.

Review 8：There was days when no water came out of shower or tap. So you couldn't wash your hands after using toilet or go to shower. And I think in these kind of heat it's afwul. Room was very basic and smelled bad, but because the price was so low it would have been ok for me. But the joint toilet/shower was terrible: smelled pee and there was the "no water"-problem. Wouldn't stay here again. And will absolutely pay more next time to get proper hotelroom. Money savings are not worth ruin your vacation in a terrible hotel.

Review 9：Pool and the garden looked nice but the pool water was hot and dirty.

Review 10：Nothing major, TV in room had no english channels. No sink in bathroom or shelf, again not a huge issue, just a little annoying. Wifi hit or miss, worked great for basic communications (whats app, email, Facebook, etc). But very difficult to stream video. And sometimes the water went off, not for long, 5 minutes for example. Not a big deal... will definitely stay again! 100% recommend.

Review 11：Comfortable and clean, great staff! They all very friendly and are all very helpful! Location is great, 10 minute max. walk to beach (walking slow) and 5 minutes to nightlife. It's on a large property that's tucked away enough so that you don't get any noise from nearby bars. Pool was great with swim up bar. Bed very comfortable. Great value for money paid!

Review 12：We had just arrived in Bali and decided to take a nap, 1 hour in the hotel and the staff came opening our door to clean the room when we were sleeping. The toilets could be better, we were washing hands in the shower.

Review 15：Beautifull garden (orchids, starfruit and more) and swimming pool (great poolbar), nice clean rooms, good airconditioning, great warm shower, perfect location in the centre of Legian without the noise of the nightlife, very understanding and helpfull staff!

Review 16：There were a few conflicts regarding payment. Sometimes they wanted it up front, other times a deposit, or afterwards. I always paid up front, but later they claimed I did not pay and were insisting I had to pay again/more. They did not have the record, but I luckily was able to find my receipt!! My friend also paid in cash but later his credit card got billed, but granted they are fixing it so that's good! But just a note to keep an eye on it and ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT everywhere!! They are very nice people but maybe not always the most organized. Great place to stay though I will definetely be recommending and be back!! :) Also, this probably has nothing to do with the Matahari Bungalows but the neibouring property in the back....has a lot of animals locked up in tiny cages. Not so worried about the chickens, but more so the dogs, poor things!! :(

Review 17：Everything! This was my favourite place I stayed in Bali. I loved that it was right off the main street but as soon as you enter their grounds it's a large super quiet garden, peaceful clean pool, swim up bar, cozy places to study, friendly staff, good air conditioning, and a good night sleep.

Review 18：If I had one criticism, the food in the restaurant was a touch pricey for us on a budget. We often went off Legian St. for food as the warungs are about four times cheaper. However, in reality, Bali is so cheap it isn't really much of a problem for most!

Review 19：We stayed in the inn (cheaper rooms at the back), and couldn't have been happier. The pool area and gardens were absolutely awesome and an excellent way to hide from the rat run along Legian St. (Not the most relaxing place to enjoy a stroll).You really wouldn't know it existed. Even though we stayed in the budget accommodation, our room was made up every day and shampoo etc. topped up. We did use the shared shower facilities outside the room as our bathroom was literally a shower with a toilet in the same area, which wasn't ideal, but absolutely not an issue for the price. In all, to just be able to enjoy the pool area was the best thing as the kuta area is not a place you can relax, even the beach has touts annoying you. It made our holiday extremely enjoyable. The staff were also great, especially at the pool bar (even when busy).

Review 20：There was a rooster over the fence and we woke up to it a bit in the morning but that isn't the fault of the Matahari.

Review 21：We stayed out the back for the $20 odd a night. No complaints. The other reviews are correct, there is no basin/sink but that wasn't a problem at all. The staff were lovely!

Review 29：We didn't actually stay at the inn because we got upgraded to the bungalows so can't say much about the interior. The compound area of the bungalows however were divine. A really beautiful garden with an abundance of flowers and birds will greet your visit to the pool every morning. Relax anywhere you want, from the hammock, poolside or at the wooden patio with bean bags. Truly a getaway.

Review 34：The room was very comfortable and the swimming pool magnificent. Only thing missing in the room is a sink. As a woman staying by myself I found the location of the rooms quite remote, as you had to walk a long way through the hotel complex. Therefore I took the upgrade to the Matahari Bungalows.

Review 35：I really enjoyed my holidays in Matahari. The location is perfect if you are beginner in surfing cause Kuta beach is just 7 min by foot. And also all clubs, pubs and restaurants are on the street but it's very quite there cause Matahari is inside so there is no noise from the street. I'll come back here again 100%

Review 37：My first impression is the hotel is beautifully designed. They many types of accommodations to meet individual travelers' budgets. I stayed in the back area which is an Inn and I can swim in the pool of the hotel. My room is clean and very comfortable. They clean my room everyday. Even though it is in the busy Legion, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Location is good and you can find many restaurants and minimarts.

Review 44：The pool and the garden! I paid 200.000 rupiah for my room, which is a good price. I wouldn't stay here if it was more expensive, that would not be worth it.

Review 45：There was no sink in the bathroom so it was difficult to wash hands and brush teeth unless one did it with the shower on which you have too. Also, stains on the sheet and wasn't changed the whole time.

Review 46：Perfect location, fifteen minutes walk to beach and very close to Seminyak and other nightlife of Kuta. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the wifi worked great through the whole property. While the 'inn' is located at the back of the property, you still have access to all the amenities of the Bungalows making it worth it.

Review 49：It is a very nice hotel in the middle of most tourist area's yet, it is very calm. We enjoyed the pool a lot and we got an upgrade of our room because ours was occupied. The staff at the desk were not the friendliest but the others were nice. It is great value for the price in this area

Review 50：It´s a no go that you offer rooms that are smelling like fustiness and mold, we changed rooms 3 times and still got a bad and harm smelling room. We wanted to check out on arrival, but the staff said that the payment could not be refunded because we booked over booking.com

Review 52：-No doormat outside the bathroom. Although I think they would have given me one if I asked. Was too lazy to walk up to the front desk and ask.(note: no phone in the room) - room feels a little congested - room faces a garden and beyond the boundary wall are many houses. One of the house has many pet birds in cages. The birds are noisy especially in the morning. I also remember hearing dogs barking from across the wall. So anticipate a relatively noisy morning - TV channels were all in Indonesian language. - geysers fitted in the bathroom had smaller capacity. So hot water would get over pretty quickly

Review 53：- please note the location as shown by booking.com is slightly incorrect. This property is within Matahari bungalow. Enter from Legian street and the 'inn' part of the property is at the end past the pool. I believe the 'inn' is the cheaper rooms compared to the 'bungalow' -excellent value for money. Rooms face a garden and you have some space in the front of the rooms to dry your clothes (after a long day at the beach :-) ) - basic room but kept neatly . rooms appeared to be newly constructed. - residents at the 'inn' are allowed to use the pool which is big and great for relaxing - close to bars and restaurants and the 'happening' part of legian. However the beach is a bit far, maybe 15 mins by walk

Review 57：So it's actually just a new low cost part of Matahari Bungalows (make sure you say that to any drivers from airport, as no one knows what matahari Inn is). Great pool and location on jl. Legian near to bars and shops. No problem with noise though as you are at the far back of the property past all the expensive accommodation and the pool. Good Aircon, beautiful grounds and great for the price. Staff were great and helpful, towels and beds changed everyday.
