Reviews for Eolian Milazzo Hotel

Review 1:A bit out of town located. Car is recommended.

Review 2:Very modern. Nice rooms. Good bed. Nice view on port and bay. Several pools as discribed. Nicely kept garden.

Review 3:We had trouble turning on the TV. It seemed to be a common problem as the front desk finished our sentences when we were asking about the TV. We were told that the tech people were off site and it would be 30 minute wait. During that time we saw a guy folding up umbrellas around the pool from our balcony. After 50 minutes we went to the front desk and wanted an update on the TV. Told again that the tech person was off site. We wanted to know if this was going to be resolved. Again told that a tech person was coming. About 15 minutes later the pool guy came to the door and introduced himself as the tech guy. We gave up and didn't pursue the issue.

Review 4:Room, balcony, and view were amazing. Extensive breakfast and parking.

Review 5:Nothing really bad. The hotel is far classier than its urban surroundings.

Review 6:Very modern and fully outfitted hotel in the generally drab cml/industrial port city of Milazzo. Nighttime balcony view was nice, since you couldn't discern that lights across bay were largely from an oil refinery. Has a very good restaurant, and breakfast was excellent. Has the feel of being primarily a business traveler hotel, since it has all the requisite communications amenities. Also has an electronically controlled security gate for auto access.

Review 7:Strange atmosphere because the hotel seems to be intended to a clientel that does not go there anymore. Negativ is that the blond girl at the reception couldn't even greet guests.

Review 8:We thought the staff were rather disinterested. We asked for a few things and our requests were not acted upon.

Review 9:The facilities were great. We liked the pool, the gym and the room.

Review 10:This is a lovely hotel on a great location the staff are really friendly and willing to help where they can. I would recommend this hotel to any couple or single though not rally suited to a young family. If you flying from abroad please avoid Alitalia they spoilt a good holiday at a good resort. ALITALIA were shocking

Review 11:It is a new, modern hotel with beautiful sea views. We enjoyed everything, including dinner 2 evenings in the dining room. It is a short cab ride to the ferry terminal. We enjoyed a day trip to Lipari. There was free Wifi in the rooms and secure parking.

Review 12:The pool opening hours were from 10:30 - 19:00.. Unfortunately we could not go to the pool earlier.

Review 13:very comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice pool area

Review 14:automatic gate didnt work at night, stuff could not reach not by intercom, nor by telephone

Review 15:modern, clean, quiet, friendly stuff, good breakfast, view,

Review 16:We were on the first floor directly above the restaurant, this kept awake and was quite annoying. The pool did not have enough chairs. Only a small part of the restaurant was use which meant there was usually a queue for breakfast.

Review 17:The location of the hotel was good, the room had a good outlook and was very clean. I would stay there again but ask for a different room.

Review 18:You couldn't access the pool from hotel, had to go through car park. Spa wasn't open. No information in rooms on facilities, such as mini-golf, times for when pools were open, laundry prices, spa services etc. Restaurant that was supposed to be open for lunch wasn't. Not much selection at pool bar

Review 19:Good room and view. Good breakfast. Nice pools.

Review 20:Hotel needs a facilities upgrade. There is no proper bar and spa is missing although it's clearly labeled in the elevators and around the hotel. There is no room service if you get hungry at night.

Review 21:Good location, great room and clean hotel. View is great and the hotel has two pools.

Review 22:Only gripe is the hilltop location. We stayed in July/August and it was 40 degrees. We did not hire a car so hiking up the hill was tough in the heat.

Review 23:Lovely clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic pool areas and facilities.

Review 24:Absolutley No hot food at breakfast . The restaurant was closed at nightto hotel guests due to private functions during our entire stay. Thehotel is a a fair walk to other restaurants. Booked the restauant onenight only to find out it was closed to hotel guests . We were put in abland conference room with 3 other couples to eat dinner . This is notup to 4 star service. Some of the Male staff need a lesson in service ifthey want to be in the service industry .

Review 25:This hotel is modern and clean . The swimming pools are great .

Review 26:far from city-centre

Review 27:- very various and tasty breakfast - personnel ist very helpful. For example, late in the evening we wanted to buy excursion to Eolian Islands for next day. We didn' have a hope to get tickets. But the personnel bought the tickets for us early in the morning! What a luck! - transfer to the port - quite, calm location - guarded safe place with gate and own parking - a lot of available facilities (play tennis, 2 pools, etc) -perfect WIFI

Review 28:After traveling for two weeks in Sicily it was a pleasure to stay at this modern hotel with two lovely pools and a soft mattress! It's not that we didn't enjoy other hotels but this one really was a welcome in terms of modern, clean and great pool. Many hotels have hard mattresses and this one had a nice soft one. The breakfast was one of my favorite of all the hotels we stayed at. There was a juicer with a variety of fresh fruit that you could make into juice. That was a treat.

Review 29:Cannot complain about anything

Review 30:A big well done goes to the architect who designed this hotel. The layout is simply marvellous, both inside the hotel and the outside surrounding areas. The rooms are very luxuriously done up. The hotel is kept impeccably clean and the staff are very helpful and welcoming.

Review 31:We were disappointed there were no facilities to eat at lunch time and trying to find a dinner menu to decide whether or not we would eat in the hotel was an impossibility. I've never come across a more inefficient reception area, when you walked into reception you were faced with a wall of computer screens with all the staff intent on looking at the screen and not at you, the customer. It was a climb up to the hotel, so anyone with mobility issues would struggle over a lunch time, the bar was uninspiring

Review 32:We had a fantastic room with a view over the bay. The facilities in the room were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was the best of the holiday, a long deep bath Blackout blinds ensured a great nights sleep The pool was the highlight of the stay, great temperature and a good size for serious swimming. Breakfast was good with lots of selections

Review 33:The air conditioning wasn't working as our stay was right at the switch between winter and summer. After a lot of complaining we got a simple fan into our room, where we were sweltering in the heat. End result was a terrible sleep, especially for our toddler – the hotel refunded the extra cost of the baby cot to us as our kid slept next to us due to the discomfort from the heat; at the end I decided not to notch points from them for this as I trust them that it was an especially unlucky moment in time, but worth asking after checking in if you have any doubts about the aircon...

Review 34:We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot – the location makes it easy to walk (up the hill) to the old town and the fortress; our toddler loved splashing in the (unheated) pool with us and the room itself has beautiful views over the sea. I would've loved to see the Etna too, but our sea view was more towards the open water.

Review 35:Wi-fi could be stronger. It wasn't in some corners of the room. But it's the only little thing)

Review 36:This hotel is gorgeous! Staff, location, apartments....and that view...Millazo is beautiful. Love it!

Review 37:It is located in the older part of town, which is beautiful but a bit far away from main city buzz. This however did not worry us and we enjoyed the quiet location and the view!

Review 38:Room was modern, clean, well equipped and had a great balcony to enjoy the activities for the Port. It was a nice quiet location! There were 2 great looking pools, with plenty of parking if you drove. we ate in the restaurant, which we don't do, the food was delicious! we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Review 39:Breakfast really bad even for already poor italian standard. Staff even blocked views with a paravent from breakfast room to confine people to area next to the door; very unfriendly staff; nothing fresh - low quality bread, extremely sweet and dry cookies you couldn't really eat - the worst I have seen during my whole stay of about 10 hotels throughout 15 days in Sicily. The entire team there needs to fired !! Very unpleasant and gives you a bad taste for the whole day (first time ever I am saying something like this). Parking a bit odd as but works

Review 40:Location, views from 302, bed and bath very nice, pool view

Review 41:wifi coverage was patchy in the room or by the pool.

Review 42:parking was very secure. The hotel was lovely. The staff were very nice professional and friendly and tried to help in any situation. The hotel feels very modern, fresh and clean. We had a bay room view with lovely views out to sea. The room was spacious, had one large patio window/balcony and a tv. A modern shower room and we were always welcomed with fresh fruit in the room. The breakfast was of a very good standard (continental standard), the pool area lovely and free wifi.

Review 43:The breakfast is very poor and simple.

Review 44:The room is well designed, and clean. The staff helped us to park the car, and kept our the car key. When we need the car, they will bring the car to the door.

Review 45:We should have mentionned that we wanted to have a sea view...we have been given a room with a balcony, with the view on the carpark. Anyway, the pool area has chairs with a great view, we could chill out there instead of on our balcony. Eggs and better coffee (we are in Italy after all!) could be improved in regards to the breakfast.

Review 46:Everything was perfect, the room was clean and design was great.

Review 47:Worst breakfast even by very low italian standards. Very unpolite and inefficient breakfast personal- needs a massive replacement and revamp. Poor quality bread only extremely sweet cakes and nothing plain to eat. Coffee served with powder and every replacement / refill had to be asked for. I admit that I was utterly annoyed being so massively ripped off at breakfast - stayed in 6 hotels in Sicily and this was incomparably low and miserable. They even pulled a para vent to obstruct the view to the water just to confine people to the front 8 tables. Horrible personal at breakfast - unacceptable for an otherwise good, nice and modern hotel.

Review 48:Views (if see view), quality bed, modern set up and location. All quite modern - good pool; wifi in bed ok but not in breakfast room nor pool. Check was ok and parking as well.

Review 49:The massage lady was wierd, did not keep the time, this service needs to be improved. Sauna would be really nice during off season

Review 50:The staff was extremly helpful and kind. It is a very modern hotel. The hotel's restaurant was excellent and very delicous food. Junior suite with the jacuzzi was really nice.

Review 51:My room was on the ground floor, ocean view. It was stormy one night and the wind made so much noise against the window it was very hard to sleep. Also I could hear everything going on around the reception area. My room was not as well sound isolated as claimed.

Review 52:Beautiful location, very friendly staff, excellent rooms with a view. Luxury all the way.

Review 53:Breakfast was dissapointing for an italian 4 stars hotel : lots of cookies and no warm food/vegetables; hot tea available only by request. Staff in the restaurant was unprofessional and loud. The guy at the reception gave a wrong change to the payment - in minus, of course.

Review 54:We have enjoyed the sea view that was execellent and the overall look of the room. Bathroom is too personalised - having a glass door but we've managed to use it. Nice fitness area, with inspiring view.

Review 55:No negatives

Review 56:We stayed at the Eolian Millazzo Hotel for the first three nights of our three week holiday in Sicily. The hotel is ideally located on a hill above the sea. The rooms are modern, quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the sea and views back onto the town from our Deluxe Sea View room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower great. The staff at the reception desk was most helpful in guiding our decisions about what to see and do in the area. It is an easy drive to visit the wonderful Greek Theater in Taormina and Mt. Etna for the day. We opted to do that to avoid the crowds and commercialism of an overnight stay in Taormina. I would highly recommend this hotel in north eastern Sicily.

Review 57:On the surface this was a great hotel but there were so many little things stemming from the fact that this is a residential hotel rather than a normal one. The internet was very poor and the running machines were not of gym standard. The tv was ridiculously complex to work. You had to ask the reception to open the main gate to get out but this was 100m away and they often forget or it opened and shut before you got there. The room lighting was impractical - reading lights you couldn't read by and main lights too bright.

Review 58:Leaving

Review 59:Pool is amazing. Drinks and Snacks available by the pool. Rooms were modern and very comfortable. Maybe 15 min walk along the seafront to the centre of town

Review 60:Hotel is at the far end of a long promenade up a very steep hill with very dangerous bends. Hotel parking is not in the hotel but further up the hilltop close to the cemetery. Hotel offers porter service to park your car if you are willing. Hotel is part of a residence complex so not everywhere is accessible.. Residence have priority parking near hotel.. Hotel guests have to park up the hill. Hotel facilities are shared between hotel guests and permanent residents. Shower in bath room leaks water every time you have a shower. TV and wifi service are available only against payment. Bed wooden frame has very sharp corners that really hurt every time you brush your leg against them.

Review 61:Best sea view from room balcony in Millazzo New, beautiful, modern room designed to 5 *****standards. Clean and spacious. Large double bed, comfortable mattress and large soft pillows. Breakfast although continental is very generous and plentiful.

Review 62:The restaurant is not flexible. We arrived at 1:50 and we liked to eat but they said it will close at 2, so impossible.

Review 63:The pool, the room and the breakfast.

Review 64:I usually go for more family type agritursimi when i saty in italy , so while the hotel was very nice it felt a bit cold and buisness like

Review 65:The staff was helpful with everything i.e parking for my car while I went to the islands or a ride to the boat ( although everything at a small price) the room had a wonderful terrace and a very nice jacuzzi.

Review 66:Fabulous hotel - new modern minimal chic hotel. Two stunning swimming pools - one family friendly and the other suited to couples which is a bonus - fantastic friendly staff - fabulous breakfast AMAZING VIEWS - perfect for a wedding guests to stay as we stayed for a friends wedding in Milazzo and it was just perfect. A short walk to the nearby seafront which is full of Sicilian Fishing charm. Fabulous service and fun down to earth professional staff would definitely stay again

Review 67:The price of alcohol was a big to high considering that the rest of the bars in milazzo served the same drinks if not better for half the price of what the hotel did.

Review 68:The staff was so nice! The loaction and the view was unreal, so beautiful. The fact that they had 2 pools so that the kids and familys could be at one pool and the couples and older people could be at one, made it so nice and quiet and helped the relaxing experience. Me and my boyfriend also enjoyed playing tennis everyday at the hotels tennis courts ( It was free and the hotel provided good rackets and balls ). Good breakfast buffee and dinner was incredible.

Review 69:Breakfast choice limited - no cooked food Pool areas closed at 7.00pm

Review 70:Beds very comfortable Great view over bay Plenty of parking space Towels provided for pool Rooms cleaned daily

Review 71:The restaurant doesn't have to possibility for outside dinner and it the atmosphere doesn't invite to stay there and eat.

Review 72:The location on a hill, view of over the harbour, very easy to find an access. Friendly welcome with a welcome drink. Rooms are very nice, clear and spacious. Pool area is top. Breakfast has enough variation to find what you like.

Review 73:While the hotel is deadly Milazzo seems to be aimed to Italian tourists rather than international. The area was quiet during the week but really buzzing at the weekend.

Review 74:The location The view was amazing The staff were lovely and so helpful The hotel is top notch its deadly !! Mario in the restaurant is funny and so helpful. Everything about the hotel and staff is brilliant.

Review 75:Wifi could be better in the pool area and a pool snack menu would be great and the option to eat outside.

Review 76:Loved the rooms - we had 3 and the pool was lovely. Fabulous place to base yourself to explore this area and the hotel taxi service was excellent

Review 77:We liked everything about this hotel. A minor thing would be the gate opening leading to the hotel's reception - maybe a limited access system could be considered. Anyway, thanks for making our stay an excellent experience!

Review 78:Warm welcome by Annalisa. Great service from all the staff. Very helpful at all hours. Modern stylish rooms. Extreemly clean. Excellent seaview rooms. Highly recommended.

Review 79:We did not have wifi at all in the family apartment room, even if we complained about it several times.

Review 80:Perfect environments if you come with a car. Nice pool and sun until half past seven. Short walk to the castle and the haven. We got really nice tip from the stab about visiting the capo and the castle. Very good service and staff.

Review 81:The staff we really really service oriented. I wanted to have a tour to one of the islands. The lady at teh reception made a complete reasearch for me. Impressive service!
