Review 1：This should not be called a "hostel" in the sense of a backpacker hostel for reasons below - it is an extremely old cold house (zero insulation with a draught galing through it) located beside a very noisy garage (owned by Hostel owner) and the main road that it is on is busy - with traffic early morning as Kinsale is a commuter town to Cork city. Appalling Customer Service and really negative attitude from owners - if a place is open one would expect it to be warm at least - this hostel was absolutely freezing over Christmas - holiday period - especially the common areas which are horrible and cold and not welcoming. The worst common areas I have ever seen in my travels around the world - obviously the owners have never stayed in hostels in the last century! The wi-fi is absolutely terrible in this day and age and considering wi-fi is very important in the hostel industry, especially for guests away from home. There was a very disruptive and noisy family staying while I was there and their language was horrific and abusive and aggressive - I was actually afraid to come out of my room at times. The oven is too small for a pizza for example. There was a shortage of coffee and milk over the Christmas. Dreadful experience - will not return.

Review 2：Fabulous Staff - Ivan and Lovely Cleaning Girl - they are the only reason I would return if I ever do which I doubt. This so called hostel is very clean and bedroom and linen is good with sink inside - shower is good. The bus stops outside the hostel. Kitchen ok. Kinsale is a gorgeous village but needs a good hostel. There is a garden. Laundry facilities for €5.00

Review 9：The bus will pick up and drop off at the door. The staff are very friendly and full of good information. The rooms are warm and the bed has a doona, not just a blanket, so you are warm and comfy. The staff keep the hostel very clean.

Review 10：I'm not used to hostels, so I didn't like to have to share the bathroom and also... there were people cooking garlic at midnight and the smell arrived just inside our bedroom.

Review 22：The two Spaniards at the front desk were the most friendly and helpful people I have met at a hostel. You can tell that they take pride in keeping the place very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a comfortable, clean, and cheap place to stay in the Kinsale area!

Review 24：The landlady was very friendly and helpful. She had lots of good advice about things to see and do in the area. In fact when I was checking in, the landlady had a map ready for me and had marked out the location of the hostel etc. Very helpful indeed.

Review 29：The lady who runs the hostel is lovely! She did everything to help us feel welcome and comfortable, gave wonderful recommendations for restaurants/pubs, and kept everything neat as a pin. When we were leaving to catch our bus, she ran out to make sure we knew to hail it, lest it pass us by. Crisis averted!

Review 30：Could not do our laundry ourselfe - had to pay 10 Euros for the laundry and than it was late and unsorted - It was loud during the night - One shower with electric water mixer was nearly burning during showering ...so there were plastic smoke coming out of the housing - Room was very very basic - There are better hostels in Irland for this money

Review 32：The lady on the front desk was very helpful. For a private room the price was very reasonable. Short walk to the village. Also when my van wouldn't start the following morning, there was a garage adjacent to the hostel so I was sorted out in no time.

The location is just 5-10 min walk from Kinsale center. Would definetly recommend that place for globe trotters, and young travellers.
