Reviews for Reginna Palace Hotel

Review 1:We reserved a small room. Don't!! It is really small and the bed is terribly small. This was our own fault, because it is stated on the site.

Review 2:The hotel is right at the beach and near the restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent by Italian standards. Friendly staff.

Review 3:Room was tired but absolutely clean. Shower a little narrow.

Review 4:Excellent location. Breakfast was so good we didn't need to eat lunch. Staff friendly. Spotlessly clean. Bedding pristine.

Review 5:-We had soms trouble finding the b&b because there was a very small sign with the name of the b&b.

Review 6:-Nice breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade sweets. -Great en nice host and service. -Clean rooms, bath with bubbels, big bathroom. -A wonderfull view at the terrace. You can see the historic city, vesuvio and the harbour. Terrace is open day and night.

Review 7:Some of the rooms are a bit too small in size. Hotel's private beach area is available only at extra charge.

Review 8:Great personnel at all levels from the front desk, waiters, bartenders and maids. Great pool, probably the biggest on the whole Amalfi coastline located in a botanic garden just steps away from the beach. Great location on the main street, very close to restaurants, supermarkets, playground and stores.

Review 9:Booked the place through bookings.com for three and got stuck in a room with a One queen bed, tried to get moved but staff could not help us. Our 13 year old daughter was not happy with sleeping in the same bed as us. You could not move in the room because it was way too small. The room was very dated to say the least. The shower was also very small and near impossible to keep the water in the shower recess and the drainage was bad to top it off.

Review 10:Location is good

Review 11:Very unfriendly welcome by a miserable man on reception. The other receptionist (the older woman) was horrible as well. Even though the hotel advertises a "private beach", you have to pay £21 per day to sit on it (don't recall reading this on the booking)! We were told to go to the public beach by the very rude lady on reception. Also had to pay £18 per day for parking which was in the small print on the booking, so what we thought was a good deal, ended up costing an additional almost £500 - unfortunately, we could afford to go on the beach every day because of this.

Review 12:The pool, the waiting staff, the housemaid - all very friendly. Nice breakfast with fresh juice and friendly waiters. Very clean and the location was great with a lovely view of the mountains and beach. Shame the reception staff let the hotel down. It was rather expensive as had to pay £18 per day for parking too!

Review 13:There wasn't a great deal of room around the pool to sunbathe but we went slightly out of season so never had a problem getting a sun lounger.

Review 14:The hotel had a prime location right in the centre on the corner of the two main streets. The room facilities were great and the pool was open from 9am to 6pm.

Review 15:Wifi reception very poor especially in the room. Swimming pool was nice but could have been kept cleaner. The pool was not hoovered out although the sides were re painted whilst we were there. The only other downside is that no form of entertainment is offered in the hotel which would have been nice at least one night per week.

Review 16:Location was great. The staff were friendly and happy to help.

Review 17:Room a bit small but comfortable and very clean, knew in advance about size of room.

Review 18:Location excellent, staff friendly, efficient and helpful, spotlessly clean

Review 19:The room left a lot to be desired. The pool although it was great to have one instead of paying for a seat at the beach was filthy around the edge of the pool. I suggest that some of the staff concentrate on cleaning it. Also Rosa needs help on the desk. Not enough staff & she needs more training.

Review 20:The breakfast was one of the best that we had in Italy.

Review 21:The stuff at the hotel were great, When we first came in we were early for checkout but they didnt even think about it and let us check in anyways and led us to our room. Same goes for check out, We asked to leave late and they said someone was already waiting for that room and that if we would like we could move to a different room for a couple of hours.

Review 22:This hotel is ideally located across the street from the sea, with the wonderful views of the Amalfi coast, close to buses, great restaurants, grocery, everything you need within walking distance. We had a beautiful room (room 409) with balcony overlooking the splendid coastline. The room was very clean and modern with a small fridge, and we truly felt at home. We enjoyed the breakfast every day beside the pool, surrounded with lush gardens and lemon trees. There was plenty of food, and a very friendly head waiter who looked just like Jay Leno (sorry forgot his name). June is the perfect time to visit, less crowds and perfect weather which makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. Maiori was very lovely, just a short distance away from the towns of Amalfi and Ravello, and only a 45 minute scenic bus drive to great shopping in the pedestrian district of Salerno, close to the train station. We really appreciated the service at the Reginna Palace, they even packed us 2 shopping bags of snacks, fruit and juices, since we had to leave very early in the morning. Thank you for making this our perfect 30th wedding anniversary!!!

Review 23:everything was perfect. will come back for sure and will recommend the hotel to everyone/

Review 24:The staff was kind and helpful. Giovanna and Shania were adorable. My room and the view from it, the beach, the breakfast, the personalized the service. the hotel is close to everything. take a superior room even if you have to pay it a bit more, other rooms are small and might have no view.

Review 25:Tuvimos problema con la señal de internet un solo dia. Se solucionó en horas. Pareció ser un tema puntual.

Review 26:El personal sumamente amable y predispuesto a ayudar. La ubicación del hotel es impresionante con una vista increíble y tienen estacionamiento (pago).

Review 27:Size of room was claustrophobic, the view from room was terrible. Asked for a quite room but was located adjacent to a busy plaza. No privacy.

Review 28:Location

Review 29:Wifi was a bit choppy, but sufficient.

Review 30:This hotel is right in front of the beach and beside the main road of Maiori. Could not have asked for a better location. The pool is large and beautiful, the grounds very well-kept, and our room was quite spacious and very clean. Breakfast included a wide variety of choices, and we were able to eat outside each morning beside on the patio beside the pool.

Review 31:The fact that didnt book more days there.

Review 32:Everything. The location is great, the stuff is helpfull, the breakfast was delicious. Really enjoyed a stay there.

Review 33:There is nothing to dislike

Review 34:This hotel was situated in a beautiful location, it was clean, pretty and luxurious, we were sad to move on as it made our holiday travelling Italy very special, staff are excellent and the pool and gardens are really pretty.

Review 35:Not really a 5 star hotel but definitely a great 4 star.

Review 36:Good facility in terms of location and clean rooms. Breakfast was okay. The staff is courteous. This facility is best for its location almostdirectly in front of the beach. Wifi and size of room is good. Ask forbeachfront view only. Location, price and cleanliness.

Review 37:the mattress needed improvement Our room rate, (which was not a discounted rate) did not include lounge chairs & umbrella on the ocean.

Review 38:great location, great restaurant.\,

Review 39:Position and size of standard rooms were awful. At back of hotel facing flats, small, cramped and airless

Review 40:Good location and main areas of hotel good. Lovely pool area

Review 41:This was our 3rd visit in 10 years, very little has moved on in that time. The young lady on reception was very helpful, but the rest of the staff were going through the motions. The staff have hardly changed in the last ten years, and could do with some training in interpersonal skills. The hotel could be so much more.

Review 42:The pool is lovely, and the gardens are beautiful. the location is excellent, across the road from the beach. The young lady on reception was very helpful and accomodating, and Rosemaria in the restaurant was very friendly. Breakfast outside was very enjoyable.

Review 43:Rosa at reception was very rude both at check-in and check-out. Double bed is ridiculously small ( not even 1 1/2 bed). When we asked to change or upgrade room, could not or did not want to accommodate us. Pool is nice but dirty with bugs.

Review 44:Location and breakfast

Review 45:Parking in the hotel garage way too expensive.

Review 46:Great location close to everything with a great pool area. Nice service level and good food. Garage is quite expensive though. Aircon and free wifi.

Review 47:Wi-fi was awful and did not work, room was tiny and very old fashioned - didn't look like it had been updated since the 1940's, our double room had a single bed which was uncomfortable for us. Had to pay 18 euros for a carpark space - once we arrived the car valet was going to park the car in a secure place once we had put our bags in the room we headed outside to see that our car was in front of the hotel with windows down, doors unlocked and keys in the ignition. Private beach 20 euros to use! More like a out of style 3 star hotel

Review 48:Breakfast was good Pool area decent

Review 49:Short term booking and they accomodated us with no problem. Lovely little town on Amalfi coast, and the Reginna is right in the centre, overlooking the corniche and all the beachside cafes.

Review 50:Major leaking in the bathroom ceiling from unit in the upper floor. Reception desk was informed about it, but did nothing. Air conditioning works only between 12pm and 1 am, so if you are in the room between the off hours be prepare to cook inside. Room smells, very moldy. Bed mattresses are old and flat and so are the pillows, super flat. The front desk staff at night is extremely rude, a guy with the name of Gigi that works at night is totally rude, no manners and disrespectful, when we asked his help about the air conditioning that wasn't working he hung up the phone at us, and later on came to our door very loudly and looking mad saying" what do you want?!!! After giving us a lot of attitude left without helping at all. This hotel isn't worthy to be in a category of 4 stars, its more like 1star. All the furniture and atmosphere is very outdated. The pool closes at 6:30pm, so you can't enjoy it after a day by the beach; ridiculous operation hours. Last day the elevators were not working, so we had to carry our heavy luggage all the way down. Don't spend your time or money at this place. Its a dump.

Review 51:Breakfast was good.

Review 52:A very comfortable and attractive hotel located on the main street. We had a balcony, a nice bath, and a view of the sea. The hotel staff were exceptional.

Review 53:The room was terrible and far Away from 4 stars. Small outdated deco with a terrible view. Elevator was broken and there were bikes and other stuff stored at The hallway. Private beach is actually just a beach place among others with a cost of a sunchair of 21e. This was the most disappointing hotel of our 9 day holiday from Rome to amalfi coast.

Review 54:Location and pool Area were great! Also breakfast was really good.

Review 55:Nothing. I would recommend it to anyone.

Review 56:Well located hotel very close to the small ferry port to Capri, Amalfi and Sorento. The pool area and gardens were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Review 57:Breakfast and nearbye beach

Review 58:Verry clean

Review 59:That you had to pay extra for parking and to sit on the beach..

Review 60:The location was amazing and the staff so very nice!

Review 61:Mi e piaciuto moltisimo. I will come back always!!

Review 62:Third bed in room a bit small for adult.

Review 63:Very helpful staff, excellent location, good pool and good buffet breakfast.

Review 64:If you book at this hotel be sure that you will not get room 101. This room should not be rented out.

Review 65:Comfortable hotel

Review 66:Parking is overpriced. Room rate a little high.

Review 67:Comfortable beds. Centrally located Staff very friendly.

Review 68:Absolutly great hotel. I would stay here again and warmly recommend the Reginna Palace Hotel :)

Review 69:Strangely, no vegetables offered at breakfast buffet.

Review 70:Especially impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the breakfast staff.

Review 71:Great location with beach, swimming pool and shops Relaxing gardens with lovely citrus trees

Review 72:Rooms far too small for two people.

Review 73:Lovely pool garden and breakfast area

Review 74:Wifi not available in room. (210)

Review 75:We booked a superior room and it was great. Breakfast is fantastic. All staff friendly and very helpful

Review 76:Nothing

Review 77:Staff were both helpful and useful during our stay, especially Geralod and Antonio

Review 78:The room was 1 to 2 star. Very poor

Review 79:Man on the reception was extremely helpful in canceling further nights that had been booked.

Review 80:Facilities, staff, close to sea, next to bus stop so all the Amalie coast is accessible

Review 81:Parking extra cost

Review 82:Close to all very nice places

Review 83:Staff style varied significantly

Review 84:very nice place, close to the beach and the bus station. we had a pleasant vacation.

Review 85:Quite a tired hotel could do with some tlc and updating

Review 86:Good location

Review 87:Poor customer service/ attitude at reception. Very noisy room as a"sea view" room also meant "main road"room! Hard tosleep even with ear plugs! It was a bit of ... Here's your key. Workout for yourselves where everything is.... Usually you get shown to yourroom or at least a quick chat ...but nothing! Waited ages for our carwhen we left in the morning which cost 18 Euros for the night and thenlugged our suitcases to find and load it! No one to be seen. Also tiredroom which with a bit of imagination could be updated inexpensively.

Review 88:Convenience for us to travel from the Amalfi coast to the south as astop over. Waitress was lovely at dinner.

Review 89:Internet access was problematic, parking not on site, pillows too flatand hard. Air conditioning only works limited hours.

Review 90:Staff, location, restaurant, pool, room size and cleanliness. Views fromroom/balcony. Good value.

Review 91:The cost for deck chairs on the beach was quite expensive for us.

Review 92:Great location in the centre of Maiori, helpful staff

Review 93:Room size, bathrooms and hour of service, (food services closes to early)

Review 94:Location and food

Review 95:Very nice !

Review 96:The room was small, smelly and noisy, we could hear the toilet flushing next door

Review 97:Very Helpful staff when wanting to arrange something like Travel. Best location in the village by the sea, Pool and garden excellent.
