Reviews for Petit Hotel

Review 1:Small rooms, no English channels on TV, tiny shower, basic breakfast.

Review 2:Excellent location - 100 meters from the port and Aeolian Islands ticket offices. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Review 3:The hotel has only 9 rooms - book early

Review 4:Stayed here the night before going to the Eaolian islands. located across the street from the ferry. we left our car at thier garage, at a small cost. The staff was very helpfull and fiendly.

Review 5:Everything was fine.

Review 6:We spent one night here on our way to the Eolian islands. Perfect as it is so close to the ferry station. Lovely breakfast served on the terrace.

Review 7:Location to the ferry for the Aeolian islands was superb. Very easy to find. Staff very helpful and organised secure parking in their car park for €10 per night. The triple room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Review 8:Walking distance to the ferries to the Eoleannic islands, the reason for our choice. Beautiful ambiance and a wonderful breakfast terrace, from which you can follow life on the habour front. The staff was extremely helpful, informative and kind and you return to a cool room after a hot day on tour!

Review 9:Maybe a little more choice of food for breakfast.

Review 10:the room was nice and clean. breakfast on the terrace was really nice watching the view of port. Good location if using the port for travelling to the islands. the staff was really helpful. one of them also suggest where we can go for dinner and she gave us a very good restaurant serving the best pasta in Milazzo.

Review 11:Traditional feel and great authentic decor- very close to the ferry and giiunterbus as well as amenities . Excellent staff explaining and recommending some great eateries etc Great value for money!

Review 12:The hotel building need more care and repairs.

Review 13:The location of the hotel is just in front of the Ferry Port and the hotel kept our car in their garage for few days.

Review 14:Seriously large cockroach in the bathroom. The small refrigerator in the room ran so loudly that we had to unplug it to be able to sleep.

Review 15:We loved the bright tiles and the breakfast on the terrace. We were able to garage our car. They made helpful restaurant suggestions. The wifi worked better than in most hotels we visited. It is extremely convenient to the ferry.

Review 16:Stayed here overnight to connect with bus connections & ferry to Panarea. Comfortable room, very clean & staff friendly. 2 minute walk to ferry terminal & plenty of restaurants, bars etc a few minutes walk away. Excellent location.

Review 17:We didn't spend much time here, - but we checked in after 11pm which was good, and left early for a boat to Panarea. The breakfast was great. Good value for money, and right across the road from the port for hydrofoils to the Aeolian Islands.

Review 18:Il migliore posto per che deve visitare le isole Eolie, vicinissimo al imbarco. Camera spaziosa e pulitissima. Staff - superdisponibili. Ho mangiato benissimo in una trattoria vicino alla sera. Collazione in albergo ottimo.

Review 19:Bed was not quite up to par and especially the very soft pillows.

Review 20:Staff very helpful and chatty. Handy to shipping wharves for island trips. Easy to find and close to the main shopping areas. Would return again next visit.

Review 21:The room I stayed in was dark and depressing due to the dark orange color. Thus, the comfort was not so good for me, also because the staff - although very friendly - was usually more occupied with the café/store next door. The WLAN reception was very bad in my room although I was just on the first floor. I stayed overnight to be able to catch the hydrofoil in the next morning but I should have skipped that stay to go to the Aeolian islands right away. Milazzo is not very nice to visit, though quite authentic with its fishermen discussing and gesticulating after work at the promenade. But, consequently, the value for the money was not jthat good.

Review 22:The hotel was clean, the bed was fine, just like breakfast - all standard and nothing to complain about.Although my room was directed towards the main street, I was able to sleep well (after I had switched of the noisy refridgerator).

Review 23:The stuff wasn't really helpfull as they had only limited knowledge of English. They couldn't even tell us, whether it was ok to park the car outside (which we figured out ourselves). Breakfast was pretty basic. Our room was facing the backyard, so it was a bit dark and you really need to love tiles, they have put them on the floor as well as on the walls!

Review 24:The location is ok, if you plan to go on the early next day ferry.

Review 25:The staff were very helpful throughout the trip. I checked in earlier than I told them and it wasn't a problem. They guided me to random errands I needed to do in the town and one of the staff even dropped me off at the train station. The room is nice, quiet, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is clean, great shower and water pressure. The breakfast is really good - Sicilian cakes, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and good espressos/cappuccinos. The best part may be that the hotel is located just 5 minutes away from the Milazzo port, where you can take ferries to the Aeolian Islands. It's very close to the center of Milazzo too, but not to the train station, although you can get a taxi for 8-10 Euro to and from the hotel. This is a great place to stay if you want to get to the Islands. And really good value for the service and location too.

Review 26:they were so accomodating they even let us use there phone to call my cousin in Panarera. I would reccomend hotel to eveyone. We even had a balcony.

Review 27:Nothing in particular.

Review 28:Maria was one of the kindest staff members we had on our whole trip. Doing everything with a smile and helping with unexpected problems. Location - perfect for taking the boats for Lipari, Salina, Volcano etc. Just a 100m walk for the harbor. They have a garage that you can park your car in when leaving for the islands for a couple of days (for a small amount of euros), instead of parking it somewhere outside in the streets.

Review 29:Location is excellent for those who'd like to visit Eolian Islands. Staff is very friendly and helpful trying to do everything to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay. The atmosphere is very nice.

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:Located right next to the harbour so to the ferries of the Eoalian islands only 5 minutes walking. Spacious room, good beds and shower. Super friendly personel, since we had an early boat they arranged an early breakfast (roof terrace, very big). Payed parking while on the islands available.

Review 32:No free parking slot and a bit far away from the hotel. Shower was a bit old and not very convenient to use.

Review 33:the girl at the reception (Maria) has been very helpful and friendly with us. The hotel is nice, right in front of the harbor to go the the eolien islands. Room is clean and breakfast is good.

Review 34:- Noise (not well isolated from the street)

Review 35:- Kindness of the staff - Position very close to the port (2mn by foot) for excursions to Aeolian islands - Modern room - Possibility to park the car in the private garage of the hotel (for 10 € per day)

Review 36:Great location in main street of port not far from wharf for Eolian Island ferries/hydrofoils. Train station is some kilometres away but local bus runs maybe half hourly and stops at the wharf. Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly.

Review 37:No issolation from the windows. So verry noisy at night.

Review 38:The location and the hotel roof

Review 39:amazing Location for boat trips to the isalnds nice staff rooms ok

Review 50:Noisy at night.

Review 51:Close to Ferry. Helpful staff

Review 52:Noisy location, inevitably. Never anyone on reception.

Review 53:As above and safe , garaged parking

Review 54:Very convenient for the ferry and offered covered car parking. Good recommendation given for dinner. Helpful and cheerful receptionist.

Review 55:Too much noise outside to leave the window open.

Review 56:Staff made us so comfortable it was like being at home! Katerina is amazing! So helpful!

Review 57:Narrow bed. Breakfast was ordinary.

Review 58:Handy for the port. Excellent, friendly staff at reception and in the coffee bar.

Review 59:No problems

Review 60:All was good

Review 61:Just minutes from the ferry terminal. Good restaurants near by. Warm welcoming staff. Great value for a comfortable stop over.

Review 62:Great staff, very accomodating, great location, very clean.

Review 63:The hotel could do with a little tlc especially the bathroom

Review 64:Location was excellent especially if you need to take a ferry to theaeolian islands.

Review 65:No wifi in rooms!!

Review 66:Loved the roof top terrace

Review 67:Loved the terrace and the waterfront view

Review 68:Lovely bathroom. Very clean. Comfortable bed.

Review 69:Close to the port, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. It's right beside the port so convenient for the boats to the islands.

Review 70:Room and facility very basic, does not justify the price. We got back to the room late at night after the cruis to find that the room was not cleaned as the cleaners miss interprated the green sign hanged on the door. For the price paied i would expect them to know their oun signs. Wifi very poor in the room

Review 71:Stayed for 2 nights before and after day cruise to stromboli. Located right across the street from the farry. Good coffee fair breakfast, could do with fresh rolls Privat parking at additional cost - comfortable.

Review 72:I arrived from Catania airport fairly late in the evening and after the long drive to Milazzo I was exhausted. It would have been bliss if I could have ordered a simple meal at the Petit Hotel. Regrettably, only breakfast is served although you can get a coffee through the day. I didn't feel like finding a restaurant and I don't like eating pizza at the best of times, so I went to bed hungry although a nice member of staff provided me with hot chocolate and a few biscuits before the bar closed. Although the hotel has been refurbished I was astonished that the electric point in room 6 was unusable and coming out of the wall! Very bad. I needed to recharge my mobile and wasted a lot of time searching for a suitable plug - I eventually found one in the corridor outside my bedroom. I can't emphasize enough how important it is for most of us to be able to re-charge our phones! The breakfast was acceptable but not great. There is a scarcity of fresh fruit in the hotel dining rooms that I frequented throughout my 12 days in the area.

Review 73:The Petit Hotel is very close to the port from where ferries and hydrofoils leave for the Eolian islands. I was bound for Stromboli. This hotel seems to have been recently renovated and the décor is much improved by the inclusion of large and interesting paintings. My single room (number 6) was at the side of the building and was quiet at night. Downstairs next to the reception is a small coffee bar and bookshop where I bought books (in English) on Sicilian cookery and the Eolian islands. All of the staff were very pleasant. I arrived there on May 29th which seemed to be early in the season; only a handful of tourists around the town. As the hydrofoil for Stromboli did not leave until 4pm the staff were VERY KIND to let me stay on in my room until 2pm or so. Thank you! The roof terrace was not in use. I hear that the hotel has recently been sold so perhaps the new owners will employ a chef and open the roof terrace. I enjoyed my stay.

Review 74:There is no air conditioning so I imagine it could be quite hot in summer. This did not effect our stay.

Review 75:This quirky little hotel was located across from the ferry terminal in Milazzo. Easy to find from the bus stop. The hotel has an organic theme and a gentle aroma of soft spices/herbs permeates throughout the building. Nice breakfast

Review 76:The hotel hospitality is excellent. Parking garage is available. For those planning day trip to thr Eolic island from the harbour the hotel location is 5 minutes walk from the harboour

Review 77:a little noisy from Street noise but for one night it was not a problem. The benefits of being close to everything and the charming atmosphere of this 9 room hotel far outweighed this minor inconvenience. Great stopover before embarking by ferry to Aeolians. Do come in at dusk to see the city at night and walk out in the morning to see the fishermen bring in and sell their catches.

Review 78:convenient friendly, helpful English speaking staff Wifi seemed reliable artsy & clean Rooftop terrace was charming check out 12 pm

Review 79:- No useful air conditioning- not clear that it is a fully ECO hotel

Review 80:- Good healthy breakfast- beside pier for boats to Aolean islands - friendly & informative about the local sites

Review 81:Location few minutes walk from ferry terminal, very friendly and welcoming staff who recommended places to explore in town, and also restaurants. Option to take the excellent breakfast on roof terrace overlooking the bay. Bus to/from Messina stops closeby as well making it very easy to get to and from. Spacious comfortable room.

Review 82:Close to ferries to Aeolian islands and bus transport to Catania airport, but still quiet. Good size room by European standards and very clean. Very helpful English speaking staff. Great breakfast included. We would definitely stay here again.

Review 83:Very noisy as on the main dock road. Towels were threadbare and pillows hard Manager was surly at the end of the evening

Review 84:Fantastic location for ferries so a good overnight stop beforehand. Rooftop terrace bar Secure parking although expensive

Review 85:Service in the restaurant was so slow, we left after 20 minutes of literally seeing no staff at all. (There were two other tables and they had wine but no one appeared for them during the time we were there either.)

Review 86:It's just down the block from the port which made an early ferry very do-able. Staff was helpful, particularly over the parking issue. (They have a tiny lot around the block and let us stay for the 2 days we were on Stromboli.) They made sure there was food and coffee available early in the morning for our departure.

Review 87:Excellent location, right opposite hydrofoil station for the Aeolian Islands. Nice roof terrace. Some good restaurants within ten minutes' walk of the hotel. Comfortable room.

Review 88:The room was rather small, but adequate.

Review 89:It advertises itself as being highly eco-conscious, and it does offer many green features. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lobby decor is quite beautiful. The staff was very helpful, and created a very comfortable environment. They also stored our luggage for an extra night, as we were backpacking the next night and didn't want to take it with us. And they made us dinner according to our requests. The hotel is right across the street from the ferry terminals, so is perfect for the night before an excursion to the Aeolian Islands.

Review 90:most friendliest staff we met on this trip

Review 91:Great location. Friendly staff. Beautiful room and view. Excellent coffee and breakfast.

Review 92:The rooms were very small.

Review 93:The staff were very helpful.

Review 94:The staff was really helpful

Review 95:Very helpful friendly staff. Walking distance to port. Lovely terrace and delicious breakfast and dinner. Bio food.

Review 96:Great staff. Very clean. Perfect location especially to reach the ferry. Beautiful area.

Review 97:The unfriendliest staff ever. Noisy aircon, noisy street: poorsleeping quality.

Review 98:convenient

Review 99:The location - right across from the ferry docks.

Review 100:Great location and friendly staff.
