Reviews for Belmonte Hotel

Review 1:Incredible location. Friendly and helpful staff. Receptionist spoke excellent English. They went out of their way to get us gluten free baked goods from a local bakery. We'd go out of our way to stay there again.

Review 2:Nothing to do with the hotel itself but unfortunately Favara town itself is quite run down.

Review 3:Location; 3/5. Very central, right next to Favara's main piazza & some restaurants/bars. Hotel reception entrance is on a side alley. Quite well sign posted. Tip: eat at Cafe Italia in the piazza. Car parking in nearby avenue with CCTV. Accommodation; 4/5. Comfortable, modern design. Clean, hygienic, comfortable beds. Breakfast; 4/5. Buffet style, plenty of choice & quantity, good quality. Facilities; 4/5. Wifi, private bathroom, phone, fridge. Restaurant seemed pricey, though i'm sure it's good. We ate at restaurants in the nearby piazza. Hospitality; 4/5. Warm friendly receptionist throughout our stay with good English. Value; 4/5. For the standard of hotel it represented good value. I wouldn't visit Favara again in a hurry but if you're going there I would recommend this hotel.

Review 4:The hotel is very smart, comfortable, quiet at night, with good food and very friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom not very large but nicely designed and decorated. Parking easily organised by the staff.

Review 5:Favara is convenient for the Agrigento temples and the Hotel is clean, modern, bright and good value. The staff were determined to make our stay memorable and went out of their way to be helpful.

Review 6:WiFi was very poor in the room - but good connection in the hall and the restaurant

Review 7:Favara itself isn't a place necessarily worth visiting - except the Hotel Belmonte and its restaurant. A beautifully restored building in the city center which offers excellent food and great service. The perfect place to stay when visiting the area around Agrigent.

Review 8:Getting there is a bit of an adventure, follow the signs to the hotel from the main road, even if they seem to steer you against traffic. Don't bother with GPS.

Review 9:Room and particular bathroom are large. The service is very friendly and efficient (most work is done by a single young woman, the rest of staff seem to be just there...) We had our best dinner in Sicily in the hotel restaurant The location is right off the main square, very authentically Sicilian but easygoing for tourists. All restaurants in this area seem to be excellent. Close to the new (modern) arts centre.

Review 10:Parking is not so easy, but the staff kindly helped secure an authorized space outside the hotel.

Review 11:The facilities are quite modern and clean, and the restaurant was just great. The hotel is just by the main piazza of old Favara, where it is very interesting to sit for a while and have an "americano" while observing local life.

Review 12:Excellent experience. Best place in Favara.

Review 13:Excellent service

Review 14:We had dinner at their restaurant and it was very good, worth the experience

Review 15:Like a 5-star hotel!

Review 16:the wifi needs to be improved

Review 17:overall the hotel was very good and the staff very helpful

Review 18:Clean uncluttered rooms. Lovely girl on reception very helpful. Very good meal in restaurant and good value for money.

Review 19:The room was spotless, modern and comfortable. Excellent food at resteraunt. Very helpful staff. Loved the little town. Very relaxed vibe

Review 20:Facilities were excellent. Staff were most obliging and accommodating. Dining was very good.

Review 21:High quality Excellent restaurant

Review 22:not applicable

Review 23:This is a high quality hotel in every repect. It exceeded all my expectations. And dinner in the restaurant was faultless

Review 24:Curtains were hanging off the rail in room, bed had itchy blanket on it( no duvet) so we took that off.Plastic cups , no glasses to drink outof. No private space, you share the terrace with everyone else, if youhave roof room..we choose it as we smoke, but not sure how it would workin the summer when hotel busier?Plastic designer chairs in room were notcomfortable to us. Shower leaked from flexible hose.Asked for halfboard( when booking, so they knew we wanted it), and were toldrestaurant closed on Sundays when we got there ( why did they not e mailus and tell us this as we were so looking forward to eating thatnight?).Offered risotto, followed by swordfish with caponato. Not keenon risotto and dislike caponato sauce, so asked for french fries ,butfelt bad asking for them. Risotto ok, fish beautiful, and one plate hadfrench fries and the other had caponato ( so we shared french fries) wewere still hungry, and were offered fruit, which we declined and hadcheese instead. Price for food and cheese was 44 euros. We had water andsoft drink, which was supposed to be included in half board price of 20euros per person? We were not offered wine.Breakfast was the worst wehave ever had in Sicily. We actually felt insulted to be given a pot ofcoffee and 4 small plain cakes ( 2 wrapped in cellophane, 2 unwrapped)served with nutella and jams . There was a bowl of fruit on the largetable, but did not look appealing to us.Never had such a bad breakfastin all of Sicily , so we drank coffee, ate one small cake and left. Didnot find it value for money as we expected restaurant to be open.Verydisappointed as we went for the food.

Review 25:Hotel is easy to find with a GPS.Parking was on a side street, and hotelis located up an alley, right next to the main Square.Look for the bighotel signs.Hotel is 'boutique style',modern, clean.Owner wasfriendly.Room was a good size ( room 301 on the roof)

Review 26:Parking in Favara can be a bit difficult, especially on Saturdays when there are lots of weddings.

Review 27:The hotel is a little 'designer' jewel, tucked away in a corner of the old town of Favara. We stayed in room 301 - the only room on the top floor, next to a wonderful sun terrace, and a really great spot to enjoy the open air. The room was great and the bathroom, with its double shower, an eye-opener. The Belmonte's restaurant is also top-notch: a little more expensive than an typical Italian venue, but also of a much higher standard.

Review 28:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 29:The Belmonte was recently renovated and updated using qualityconstruction and tasteful modern decor. It is upscale without theboutique price. The dining room is lovely and their chef createswonderful dishes. Don't miss aperitifs and dessert on the roofgarden! Salvatore and company are extremely knowledgeable about theregion in which they operate and very helpful with suggestions andinformation on what to visit. They are also incredibly honest. When oneof the staff realized another guest's drinks were inadvertentlycharged to our room, they followed us across Sicily in order to returnthe overcharge. First they tried to meet up with us in Agrigento. Whenthat failed, they had a friend deliver the money to us in Erice. Wedidn't even realize the charge wasn't ours. That'sintegrity! We will definitely visit again when we re-visit Sicily.

Review 30:- Nothing

Review 31:- exceptionally kind and helpful staff - Nice design - Good food at restaurant - good value for money - Favara is not the most beautiful city in Sicily, but it has a charming little historical center where the hotel is located. The hotel is a good base to visit Agrigento

Review 32:tutto era buonissimo

Review 33:Accessibility Noise

Review 34:Restaurant Cleanness

Review 35:About 15-20 min drive away from the Temples

Review 36:Clean, neat
