Review 1：Probably the only thing that we found strange was about the town of Levanto....absolutely nowhere to go for dinner in winter (at this time of the year)....apart two restaurants everywhere else was shut because of holiday or other.....!

Review 2：Beautiful location, very easy to get to Levanto and everywhere else like the Cinque Terre. The host, Sonia, was lovely....and she loved surfing....which was a bonus for us!!

Review 3：There is some noise transference from both adjoining rooms and the entrance staircase. The hotel is located some 20 mins from town which may not suit those wanting to eat away from the hotel.

Review 4：Nice clean, modern accommodation in a quiet valley setting. Excellent food and wine served at night in the restaurant and a tasty breakfast provided catering to both European and non-European tastes.

Review 5：Fabulous little hotel with a great staff and a perfect location for those driving to the area. It was a ten minute drive to the Levanto train station, where we jumped on the train to explore the Cinque Terre. The hotel have us a pass to park for free at the train station. Both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were superb. I highly recommend this hotel!

Review 7：The staff was very helpful and courteous. The restaurant food was great. Don't confuse the restaurant to the left with the Abetaia. Full breakfast was great. The dinners were marvelous. The tasting was great and not too expensive. Ask about it.

Review 9：We loved our stay here. The room was updated and very comfortable. The surroundings were also lovely. It is in the countryside with a beautiful garden. It was a perfect base for the three days we spent visiting Cinque Terra since we had a car we needed a place with parking. The owner and his wife were wonderful hosts. He is a chef and the food was superb. We enjoyed it so much that We had dinner there twice in a row. I would definitely stay here again . It was one of the highlights of our 2 week stay in Italy and a perfect way to start our holiday. It is 2 hrs by car from Milan and a beautiful 15 minute drive to Monterosso al Mare.

Review 15：Wifi not available in rooms (only in main hotel area). Can be inconvenient to get to Cinque Terre if you do not have a vehicle with you (20 Euro taxi ride to the Levanto train station). Limited restaurant options available in the immediate hotel area.

Review 16：Small but modern, clean hotel with lovely facilities. Friendly and welcoming family-run hotel and all staff (Michele, Sonia and Marida) are very hospitable! Delicious breakfast provided. Beautiful grounds located in the mountains. They offered us a courtesy ride to the Levanto station in the morning since we didn't have a vehicle with us.

Review 17：Ask for the bill after dinner and sign it. Some of ours showed largesums, which, compared to the quantity of food we had, gave us a littlesurprise. We found out on departure, unfortunately. In the showerthere's a wooden floor, which can be really slippery when wet, andis quite unhygienical. A visit to the restaurant in the forest (oppositethe hotel) gave us only unpleasant experiences: rude, unhelpful staff'...You can sit anywhere you want. No, not there, not thereeither', the poorest insalata mista we've ever had, pouring winewithout presenting it first, and an interesting way of serving bread ina fat - stained paper bag - all this in a restaurant that's gainedMichelin's positive attention. Well, not ours.

Separate door to each apartment.Levanto gives lots of opportunities: choose a boat to visit Cinque Terreand Portofino - it gives you unforgettable views.

Review 19：If you're looking for exceptional service and hospitality, you should definitely stay at Albateia . Upon arriving at the hotel late at night, we couldn't help but be mesmerized by the smells of the forest, the cool breeze and most importantly the chatter and laughter of the Marco and Sophia, the couple who run the place. We hadn't mentioned that we were on our honeymoon because we had booked the hotel on the spur of the moment, but upon mentioning that it was our special vacation Marco lept to his feet in excitement and asked what he could offer us. It was late and we hadn't eaten so him and his wife Sofia were so kind to cook us the most delicious Ligurian fish meal we had during our entire honeymoon (which consisted of over 20 villages in the south of France and North of Italy) - no small feat getting the best meal award! We had the most romantic dinner, just the 2 of us amidst the trees - Marco and Sophia joined us for drinks later, we had the most unexpected and enjoyable evening. The Albateia hotel is a hidden treasure, so close to the Cinqeterre station (less than 10 minutes by car; you have to take the train, no cars are allowed) - the hotel helps with free parking if they have enough cards so you can even park at the station all day for free. After having been to Cinqeterre and been stuck in the crazy traffic with hoards of people, it was great to nestle back into our hotel and enjoy the great breakfast and dinner they have. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting cinque terre

Review 21：Everything! Awesome owner/ host Sonya & Michael. They treated us like family guests. Location is excellent, close enough to train station. You need a car staying here to go to train station to explore Cinque Terre. Room is very comfortable, very clean & modern. Beautify garden & hotel ground. We are happy not staying in any of the five towns as we would have to lug our luggages from train station up & down steps to hotel room in the villages. WE HIGHLY RECOMMAND THIS HOTEL

Review 22：I can't fully express how much we loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, we felt incredibly welcome. The setting is idyllic, the rooms are fantastic, breakfast is delicious, and the evening meal was amazing. A wonderful, relaxing couple of days in the Italian hills. Amazing.

Review 23：the breakfast is unbeatable! Real cappacinos, cereal, fruit, breads, yogurt, meats, cheese. The room was awesome as well, feels very new. Don't let the drive keep you from staying here. It's 10 minutes to the train station and very close to the autostrada exit. They also have their own restaurant now! And it's amazing! Great pasta and seafood. The staff and owners are extremely nice and friendly. They have great outdoor lounges where you can enjoy a drink as well. Highly recommend this hotel!

Review 27：This hotel was by far our favourite! A family run beautiful modern but homely hotel set in amongst the trees, a beautiful quiet setting only 10 mins from cinque Terre. Amazing food with beautiful seating and an out door open fire by night. We were greeted with free drinks on arrival and offered a lovely drink as we sat by the fire! Rooms were amazing with giant showers on wooden floors and many more quirks that have this standing out from the rest!. Sonia and Michele could not have been more helpful! Even directing us for a day on the beach to which we hired bikes! Beautiful ride to a beautiful beach!! It is best to have a car...we drove here from Venice, which was easy and worthwhile! This place is two thumbs up!!!!

Review 28：This is like being invited to a very stylish Italian couples country estate coupled with the complete privacy of your own lovely rooms and balconies. Cannot fault it. Highly recommend after craziness of A day at Cinque Terra. This place was a gorgeous haven to come home - not to mention the amazing restaurant and garden areas.

They supplied all the information for visiting Cinque Terre including a free parking ticket for the station. Large comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. Very tasty and plentiful breakfast. Guests need their own transport.

The nicest owners, helped us with everything we needed, more than what's expected (even bought soy milk especially for me). Very nice breakfast, the resturant by the hotel is very nice. Wifi in the rooms, mini bar and balcony area. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area coming with a car!

Review 42：If you just want to visit the Cinque Terre cities by boat and/or train, the hotel is a bit far from Levanto and you need a car. The hotel is near the road and there is some sound from trucks early.

A car was necessary. Parking on site. Breakfast was very pleasant and varied. The restaurant on site was lovely for an evening meal.

Review 49：We spent an unforgettable holiday here. This hotel for us was definitely the right choice. Sonja and her team is exceptionally courteous to her guests and makes sure that you feel comfortable here. However, the best is the breakfast. It's really varied, with coffee choice (whether it be espresso or cappucino ..), with fresh fruit, sausage & cheese, eggs and regional sweets - so this breakfast left nothing to be desired. We would again spend our holidays here ...

Review 50：The terrace is close to a road but it was not a big deal. The road is small ( 2 lanes) and leads down to Levanto. If you don't want the terrace the wooded side is away from the road.

Review 51：Everything! The restaurant had great food and was separate from the hotel,with its own separate setting yet within walking distance. A very good breakfast at the hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer.

Review 52：Excellent service. Recieved complimentary tea and coffee on arrival. Very modern internal rooms with excellent conveniences. Lovely garden exterior with quirky little playthings scattered around like a child's butterfly net and large ball for children to play with. Bei g up in the hills there is no view of the sea but the quality of the accommodation more than makes up for it. The restaurant 100 metres next door is well frequented by locals and opens at 8pm so bookings may be ne essary in busy times. The staff were very helpful in explaining where train and boat leave from Levanto to visit the Cinque Terra.

The staff were very kind and saw to our every need. A cold drink was offered on arrival after a very long day of train travel. Fabulous bathroom and shower. Great amenities all through. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of the staff. We were made to feel right at home. Breakfast was great and replenished often.

Review 63：What a gem! After spending way too much time searching for accommodation in busy, overpriced Cinque Terre, I'm so glad we found this gem. We were greeted warmly on arrival, provided with maps and train times to 5T, and tips for parking. Our room was beautiful, with vaulted ceilings, tons of room, and a beautiful bathroom. Dead quiet at night. Top notch breakfast in the morning. Made up for a rainy 5T visit.

Review 77：Excellent location in a peaceful, wooded area a short drive from the Levanto train station. It was ideal for exploring the Cinque Terre and the Bay of Poets area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast at the hotel was great, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel restaurant was just excellent. The staff was extremely sweet with our two young children and they really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even set up a "take out" with the restaurant (something they don't normally do) to allow us to have dinner in our room and not keep our little children out late. In all, an excellent place that we enthusiastically recommend to anyone visiting the area.
