On the golden sandy beach of Platanias, Indigo Mare offers a swimming pool with an elegant restaurant-pool bar, a mini market and self-catering studios and apartments with private balconies.
Indigo Mare studios and apartments are tastefully designed and include a kitchenette with refrigerator, satellite TV and balcony with wonderful view of the sea or the grounds.
The Indigo Mare restaurant-pool bar serves local and Mediterranean home-cooked meals, as well as vegetarian dishes. Children's menus and high chairs are provided.

Review 1：Wifi connection was pretty bad inside the room, had to sit outside to be able to connect.

Review 2：Breakfast! Great range of local produce, there was something for everyone. Availability of some items was a bit short at times due to volume of people but in general really good. Generally excellent value for money and location of the resort.

Review 6：- beware that in most apartments there is only 1 air conditioner in the apartment lounge which has to cool the bedroom also We stayed in mid October which was fine barely but I doubt it will be livable at all in peak summers - wifi is unreliable and keeps disconnecting or limited access etc

Review 7：- definitely value for money with a beach front hotel in central tourist location of platanias - kind staff (Mariana) agreed to extend our stay at the same low rate we paid albeit of the higher actual rates being a weekend - night shift staff mr Yanis (John) is also very kind and helps as much as he can with limited night shift authorities - underground parking js very safe and manageable if you are a good driver. Don't know what's the fuss in previous reviews - the breakfast is quite good - agin must say the breakfast staff was also super. One day I came late after 10:30 when breakfast is fininshed but kind eleni fixed for me whatever she could find which was more than enough for me!!!! - very nice view from the breakfast area. Beautiful beach and pools - I will return for the staff and comfort but make sure there's an air con in vedroom

Review 18：I didn't like the hotel at all,the room smells so bad,breakfast was ok,the manager is not friendly at all,he doesn't care if you are comfortable or not,you have to carry the luggages by yourself,some and not all of the receptionist femals are so aggressive,she doesn't know anyting you have to wait till next day to see the manager. I won't recommend it at all.

Review 20：If you are looking for a quiet vacation and relax, this is ths place!!Great location, a lot of restaurants and beautiful beaches, about 15 min from Chania. The hotel is on the beach. The brekfast was very nice, the staff are very friendly and can recommend nice places to go in Crete. Have to say, if you are young and want to party this is not the place.

Review 27：We hired a car and parking was difficult at times, I got to park in the basement which has a steep drive into the basement and is very tight and dark but I preferred to keep it off the roads. The air on was excellent except the main bedroom didn't have this so you had to leave the door open for the room to cool. It wasn't a big problem, the beds were a little firm for some peoples liking but again it didn't bother me. Wifi was patchy when we landed and slow but they fixed this as it was an open network and everybody used it, when they password protected it this improved the speed and it seemd to work everywhere, our rooms and by the pool and the restaurant. The power of the shower was weak and sometimes cold in the mornings... Take your showers at night and it was hot!! Maybe something that could be addressed ?

Review 28：This hotel was fantastic and its staff were amazing, really helpful and friendly. The location is stunning and the facilities were great. The swimming pool was excellent, well maintained and over looks the beach. Each morning we were given a great breakfast with plenty of choice, the staff were always helpful especially with our children. They had a Greek night on our stay and the performers were excellent involving children and guests to take part. The location of this hotel is close to the beach very close to the main town, shopping and a wide variety of restaurants and bars were on our doorstep... It was also quiet at night and we had experienced no disturbance. Out apartment was very clean and was comfortable, it was services 3 times a week but ours was serviced by the very friendly staff daily at our request for no additional cost. The rooms had air conditioning and the kitchen was well equipped but had no oven or grill. However we had breakfast included and Eat out most night days... The menu and food at the restaurant was excellent as was the bar. I am happy to congratulate the bar staff vladi etc for making our stay that much more enjoyable. The gardens throughout the hotel were beautiful and well maintained and there was many great features such as the games room, a small outdoor play area, sauna etc... There was plenty of loungers around the pool and also more that could be hired if you chose to stay on the beach, even showers to was of any sand you may have collected on the beach...it is about a 40 min drive from Chanais airport so its not an exhaustive trip with bus transfers to and from the hotel if you choose.

Review 29：Only 1 Complaint - Breakfast Breakfast was acceptable (for a buffet). If you stick to the fresh fruit and cereals you'll be happy and plenty of selection. But the hot breakfast lacked a little bit of quality. ie Bacon very fatty and lightly cooked, greasy. Coffee in big urns and somewhat bitter.

Review 30：Other then couple complaints with breakky, everything was absolutely SUPER! Great View, ALL STAFF were friendly. They really try to help you, give suggestion for day trips etc. Rooms were very clean, and of a modern standard! And Internet - actually works well!!!. We are certainly coming back next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A great value for the cost.

Review 37：majority of the guests were retirees and we felt odd. towels are only replaced every 3 days! the wifi is horrible, weak signal from the room and when in common areas it doesnt work properly.

I found I had been upgraded free of charge when I arrived, which was a bonus.

Review 47：if you travel with children, book breakfast for adults only! As the hotel was closing at the end of the week, the hotel didn't bother to buy in tea bags as we don't drink coffee (allergy). We had to go by ourselves to the grocery store and purchase tea bags. Tht felt really cheap charlie as we paid 6 euros/pers./day for breakfast. Please take away the games in the child aera. They cost money and is it irritating for both parents and other travelers that had to listen to our children screaming after a train ride och another Haribo ball.

Review 52：Manager of the hotel is unethical and very unprofessional . Be aware!!! We booked room for 4 adults and there is no way 4 adults can sleep on the tinny sofa beds ! Had to get another apartment there so we can actually sleep. Had to pay cash for that! Really? This was the only way we could get another room. Booked breakfast but didn't use it, when I checked out the hotel manager said I know you didn't use breakfast but I can't refund it , it has to be booking.com . It has been 4 weeks and indigo mare is not wiling to do what they said. They charged for something that was never used! Never got a breakfast vouchers but still payed for it! Which professional, ethical company does that! Please don't waste your time and money with this poor management ! Really sad!

Review 54：Too much too list. This hotel was the worst hotel I had stayed at in Greece. The room old and dirty, mold on the shower curtain, strong odor from sewage throughout the room, pool was dirty, extra fees for air condition, no wifi. If you want to experience what is like to live in a third world country then choose this hotel!!
