Reviews for Waterfront Hotel
Review 1:Fab spot..Fun night Thursday Trivia... Meal... roast could have been more tastier. Rooms fine but a good paint refresh wouldn't go astray. Bed very comfortable. Wine pricey, considering bottle shop next door. Would definitely stay again.
Review 2:Leaving
Review 3:The location, the price, Very clean room, serviced every day including Christmas day. It was a large room , with microwave, plates cutlery etc. next to a Hotel, very good meals. The view from the balcony was very good. the staff where very friendly, especially the cleaning lady, who nothing was a problem. close to shops just 10 minutes up the road. very quiet
Review 4:No phone, Internet didn't work, door was hard to close & lock, overall appearance shabby, tiles in shower slippery. Price was not in line with quality of room.
Review 5:Clean linen
Review 6:That I didn't get to stay longer. Decor dated but functional. The toilet roll was what you'd find in a public loo.. but on up side, chances of running out of paper were very low.
Review 7:I like a soft bed, and the beds in room 1 were absolute heaven. Food here is fantastic, and very affordable, the staff welcoming and helpful Plenty of parking, and minutes from the motorway that can take you anywhere.
Review 8:The double bed was worn out no springs, sunk to the floor. Suppose to have a balcony over looking water but we were against a corner amongst bushes could barely see water. Chairs in room to sit on were aluminium. Overall I wasn't expecting much when I book and it met that expectation. The only reason we chose there was we had a function at the hotel to attend. The area is a bit out of the way so not much choice from.
Review 9:Reception were unsure why they only had one key instead of two and we were told to let them know if there was anything "bad" happening at the room! Like what? There was a huge late night fight outside in the hallway. No the hotels fault, just the type of people that will be staying there.
Review 10:The hotel was close to the sunshine motorway making it perfect to get up the coast.
Review 11:Unfortunately breakfast was not available due to demand.
Review 12:The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was great. The room was a good size had everything I needed & the bed was very comfortable.
Review 13:Poor sound insulation, can hear neighbour's TV. Children's gaming area and "jungle gym" practically didn't exist (which attracted us in the first place). Bathroom floor sticky and soapy when wet.
Review 14:Lakeview with decent privacy and pleasant breeze, good rate.
Review 15:We stayed in room 1 and the bed was nothing short of bloody terrible. Casters missing giving the banana effect which made it impossible to sleep two in and my husband had to sleep the single bed. We booked for two nights but only stayed one night. Very disappointed because as a family we used the cabins on a regular basis around Christmas.
Review 16:Location has always been great. As we used to come here with the kids and use the Cabins.
Review 17:Very poor river view from room one. No air dryer No isolation phonic, easily can listen the next room talking.
Review 18:Nothing really but i think it's ok for value.
Review 19:Double bed was broken. Probably need a realistic pic of the hotel :) Took way too long for someone to come serve us for check in - we left the hotel for late lunch then came back cow we didn't want to wait longer than the 20mins we were there for. Overall a terrible experience. My friends and I were just glad we had each other's company and aircon. But wouldn't go back ever again.
Review 20:The space in room 1 for three people was good.
Review 21:The room was missing bedside lamps, and required another light over the study desk. Could not turn off light from the bed. Door to patio was permanently locked.
Review 22:Good location and price even for 3. Meal and service was excellent, and meal was better priced than similar establishments,
Review 23:We dining in the restaurant: the staff uniform was bad! Tattoo expose, branded colours jumpers, noses rings, un-iron shirts ect Untidy! For $99a night for the room we could have stay somewhere else in a better placeroom for a little extra. Badly needs a paint job, fix up and new beddingand beds (uncomfortable)!
Review 24:Location by the lake Restaurant close by Balcony jointing to the room
Review 25:w
Review 26:We have stayed at a lot of places on the Sunshine Coast and this was one of the best, yes because cost was a big factor for us,we hope to stay there again very soon.
Review 27:The room was shabby looking and a bit smelly with unappealing brown/dark interior. The bed/pillows were not very comfortable.
Review 28:Location with water views.
Review 29:Firstly the price $88 really great.Unit was lovely and clean .Great outlook from balcony and Windows onto the river.Being able to walk to the bistros and have a meal.
Review 30:Double bed in room 1 was so sagging in middle neither my wife or myself got any sleep at all (had to sleep on floor. Surely that bed needs upgrading.
Review 31:Staff were nice & friendly
Review 32:Beds need replacing. Big dip in the centre and gives you a certain backache.
Review 33:Ok for short stay. Lovely water views. Peaceful and surprisingly quiet. Friendly staff and handy having bistro on site. Meals good value. Also very handy to have jug, toaster and microwave. Alas no hairdryer though.
Review 34:Unclean. Noisy. Felt unsafe due to loud drunks. Sliding was not lockable. They had a piece of wood to keep door closed.
Review 35:Very very very poor accommodation. Do not stay there.
Review 36:*Booked this room over another place (regretfully) as the descriptionsaid 'lake view'. Glimpses of the lake could be had only when onbalcony. Tho most other rooms would have a better view.* Hotel is in fact a MOTEL *wouldn't stay again Wouldn't recommend. there are cheaper nicer places.
Review 37:Variety of teas + coffees
Review 38:Receptionist was on the phone and it seemed like an effort for her to deal with me. Maybe they were understaffed?
Review 39:Plenty of condiments and utensils including toaster, kettle, microwave and a good tv.
Review 40:Shocking mattress - probably would have been better sleeping on the floor - my husband and I 'fell' into the middle of it.
Review 41:The room was well equipped - with a microwave and jug, great towels and pillows.
Review 42:They never told me about the closeness of the 'lake' river, so I could've taken my rod, and tried my luck! LOL :-)
Review 43:Everything!!! It was the most restful place we've stayed in for quite some time. Everything, yes, "everything", was right there for us, room, (which was very very comfortable, views, (beautiful), eatery, (right next door), Pub, for a few relaxing drinks, ('no driving' that's always good). We just can't say enough great things about the place.
Review 44:poor outdoor setting and security screen door would NOT close properly. Rooms need to be up-dated. Had to wait at reception 20 mins for a staff to show me my room being a weekend of short staff? Not private on patio as have people walking past.
Review 45:bed was comfortable and location
Review 46:Terrible bed. We woke up unable to walk with aching backs. We stayed in Room 4 and both the outside lights (front entrance and little Patio light) were not working. Management should ALWAYS check these for safety alone. VERY hard to find where to book in for accommodation. There needs to be a BIG sign with directions. Also NO bedside lamps in the room only big bright lights.
Review 47:Beautiful and relaxing overlooking the lake. Very quiet and serene.
Review 48:You have to be aware you're only getting a room. Car park at front door and slightly overgrown man-made lablake out back.
Review 49:The staff were very friendly and helpful. They didn't hold us to our third night as we couldn't stay. We had room service each morning. An old fashioned motel room- very affordable at 88 dollars a night. Large hotels are generally not as generous.
Review 50:Our bed was very soft and mattress sank in the middle. Did not have a good sleep. However, the other couple we travelled with had a more comfortable bed.
Review 51:Price
Review 52:Person checking us in had quite a few problems with the computer and previous bookings before he could check us in. Left standing for quite awhile.
Review 53:Beautiful setting, room looking out on the waterfront. Close proximity to shopping centres. Quiet.
Review 54:the rooms are quite old and worn as are the bathrooms, but you get what you pay for, so don't be disappointed, safe, neat and nice staff.
Review 55:good value meals with a great view, large rooms, friendly staff and convenient location
Review 56:No pool but not a big deal. There would not be any other negatives for me
Review 57:Location was very good, quite, no traffic noise. Great facilities with very welcoming and professional staff. Rooms clean and comfortable with peaceful outlook from verandah. Stayed in room 2. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Review 58:Staff are so helpful. We had to cancel the Sunday night's stay because the event we were attending got cancelled due to the cyclone Macia. We did that on Sunday morning and they were so understanding and authorised booking.com to refund the money. Will definitely stay there again!
Review 59:Bit of noise on pub closing, but this should be expected.
Review 60:Clean, roomy and comfortable . To be able to pop down stairs for a cool drink and dinner was fantastic!
Review 61:It was fabulous to wake up and open the full length glass doors to reveal the lake, with people sailing etc. The room was spotless, everything worked and the beds were great. The Hotel was great for lunch too. No complaints here.
Review 62:the only problem was that the mattress on the bed was past it's use by date. both my partner and myself had the same opinion.
Review 63:spotless in cleanliness, quiet location and comfortable room. the meals in the restaurant were excellent, plus I won $320 on keno:)
Review 64:Moved out the next day as the Woolworths owned hotel does not have wifi available, let alone free WIFI - this is 2015 Woolies!
Review 65:Quite location with some water outside the room. Good cheap food available and nice staff.
Review 66:I liked everthing about it, We couldnt fault it,I most certainly would book again, at the Waterfront Hotel,Pleasent Recetionist.,I only spent one night to be near family in Nambour.I will add this Hotel to my favourits for any future bookings.
Review 67:There was no kitchen sink for me to fill the kettle so I used the bathroom sink but the kettle wouldn't fit under the tap
Review 68:It had a microwave so I could heat up my baby's bottles, not many places have that.
Review 69:Needs minor repairs Sliding door was hard to open Ventilation in the bath room was completely covered with dust. Shower had mould on the walls. Bathroom would need an exhaust fan.
Review 70:Staff was very friendly. Room and bed was clean. Had a kettle and microwave. Nice view from the small balcony, but would need a small table.
Review 71:I asked for a 300g steak, medium rare. What I got was about a 100g well done, to the point it was charcoal on the edges, tough as anything piece of meat. Cost $26. I would never eat there again.
Review 72:Bed was uncomfortable The bathroom had a bad smell coming from the drain. Prices at the hotel for drinks was very expensive
Review 73:The view from the balcony Very clean Food was great
Review 74:It would be good if they could offer a breakfast service but I understand it would mean extra staff etc.
Review 75:It was in a good location, a short walk to the hotel with a bistro, bar and bottle shop. We liked that it was value for money, not fancy but very comfortable.
Review 76:Breakfast restricted to a pack for purchase.
Review 77:Rooms were basic, but everything was clean and bistro was across car park so easy to get food. Location very peaceful, definitely value for money.
Review 78:Bistro food a little inconsistant, really yummy the first time, quite poor the second.
Review 79:Excellent value for money. Pleasant location. Balcony onto the garden. Right next to the hotel but quiet. Respectful and friendly staff.
Review 80:The light in the bathroom stopped working the first night and this issue although staff said it would be resolved was never resolved and the couple next door were terribly loud and aggressive at night and we weren't moved to a better room. Very disappointing.
Review 81:The location
Review 82:The hot tap in the shower was leaking hot water out of the tap, so you had to be careful not to burn your hand when turning the hot tap.
Review 83:We were there because we were attending an event nearby, so the location was perfect. The room was nice and had everything that we needed for our stay. They did not have a restriction on the minimum number of nights that you had to stay, which was great as we only stayed 2 nights.
Review 84:Really good price for what you get. Rooms are neat and tidy. Very quiet and just tucked out of the way, but only a 5-10 minute drive to the centre of Maroochydore. Of course the room was small, but for $88 a night that's exactly what you expect. Very comfy beds and warm blankets. It was great for us, a young couple looking for cheap accommodation without any frills.
Review 85:balcony could have been a bit bigger. okay for the two of us
Review 86:had everything we required, somewhere to eat, with good priced meals. Bed was comfy. Had a microwave and fridge for an easy breakfast. Lovely view from the window
Review 87:Towels a little hard on your skin..
Review 88:Parking my car right outside the room...nice balcony looking out to the water...everything worked in the room and it was clean and tidy...bistro has reasonable meals...whole experience great for the price
Review 89:Nothing, it suited our needs very well.
Review 90:Hotel was fine. Room was roomy clean and tidy price was right and was all we needed for our one night stay. Sat on deck of hotel in sun watching the fish in the river and children in small sail boats, had a drink then followed with tea in bistro. All in all lovely leisurely afternoon and meal. It was next door to our actual destination the next day.
Review 91:Clearly a simple motel for a stop by. Nothing reachable without a car. Frontdesk was not giving a very warm welcome. Neither does the room, very basic. Could be worse spending an extra 25AUD per night for a better location and room.
Review 92:Efficient, relatively quiet, fair value for money (should be the cheapest around).
Review 93:Dinner rather expensive. The shower and hand basin hot water needs urgent attention for it has the potential to scold unwary.
Review 94:The closeness to the town centre
Review 95:Traffic noise all night. This could be a exceptional Motel complex with a little bit of modernisation and of course double or triple glazing on all windows
Review 96:Location ideal for Brisbane and its surrounding districts including the airport. The front person was really great and advised us on several things to do and take within close proximity. Any taxis etc wasn't a problem. Well priced.
Review 97:Room was a bit tired decor wise but clean
Review 98:Best selection of teas with teapot and mugs!! marvellous View of the water from the room Ideal location beside hotel with good value meals $10 off steak on Fridays!!
Review 99:the linen weren't bad - but I would have preferred a bit more upmarket linen - but this is not critique - everything was perfect!
Review 100:the warm aircon on a cold night price Clean
Review 101:Needs maintaince. Glass door catch, shower screen, vanity unit,tap-knobs.Blood on main beadspread.
Review 102:Price was good-so didn't expect too much. Will go back when we are up that way.
Review 103:Noisy at night - from adjoining room. No way to get to lake from the room to walk beside it. Cleaning products had strong smell - when we arrived had to open the doors to get smell out.
Review 104:Good value - good restaurant onsite - beds comfortable and nice outlook onto the lake.
Review 105:Nothing.
Review 106:My friends liked the room for cleanliness, comfort and value for money. Also the room is right next to the hotel and they really enjoyed the food and friendly staff in the hotel. Will stay again.
Review 107:Staff were friendly and the food at the hotel was excellent and worthy of 5 stars *****

Review 109:the pub
Review 110:Noisy neighbour
Review 111:View over the lake
Review 112:The view from our room, value for money dinner at the Bistro and the sound of families enjoying themselves
Review 113:Waterfront location was a treat.
Review 114:Bathroom needed a good clean with soap scrum on tiles and small cockroaches. Would have liked a breakfast option.
Review 115:Friendly staff with late check in.
Review 116:Our waterfront view wasn't so waterfront viewy. Bathroom had a funky smell.
Review 117:The staff. Friendly and happy to help with anything.
Review 118:That we couldnt get to the water from our deck
Review 119:The price was good, had everything we needed and was serviced daily.
Review 120:Room was ugly and had only a tiny glimpse of the water from our balcony
Review 121:Ease of access to parking and the facilities
Review 122:cockroaches, dirt, moisture, noise, things broken or not working.
Review 123:The food
Review 124:Low level drain odour and no wifi.
Review 125:Nice location near the water. Good to have the microwave and frig in the room. Nice to find GF options on the menu.
Review 126:Bathroom needs some updating but facilities worked well.
Review 127:Water view, quiet. Good dark room to sleep in.
Review 128:Double bed extremely uncomfortable. Too much external passing noise.
Review 129:Cheap overnight stay.
Review 130:Bed uncomfortable, shower floor slippery
Review 131:Convenient for an overnight stay for a wedding in the area, and reasonably priced
Review 132:Only had 1 day/night there.
Review 133:Location, Atmosphere and Price.
Review 134:Good food.
Review 135:They say its water view but its not a great view trees in the way
Review 136:Food was great
Review 137:The hotel food was excellent
