Reviews for B&B Casa Cavalli

Review 1:You can park in the courtyard, but do not try to drive on the Piazza Duomo - there are cameras detecting "illegal" drivers. Unfortunately it was raining during our visit :-(

Review 2:B&B in a "palazzo" in the heart of Lucera - right at the Piazza Duomo. Lot of original furniture and interior makes this B&B an authentic experience. Friendly owners. Lucera is definitely worth a visit: it has some unique treasures - Castello Svevo could be cherished a bit more by the town.

Review 3:Parking a car can be a problem particulary if it is market day. However our host guided us through back streets to park in the property. The accommodation gave you a feel of living in a bygone age

Review 4:There is no air conditioning in the suite which we occupied for 5 days. Unfortunately, with warm weather in Lucera, a simple floor fan in our room was really inadequate. Also, the only available public parking for our rental vehicle is located in the Piazza Della Bella Repubblica. If one returns to Lucera after 7:00PM, chances are good that you will not find a parking space. Also, every morning, venders set up their stands to sell fruits and vegetables, fish, etc. One morning, when we approached our vehicle, we were verbally accosted by two venders for parking parking there. It should be mentioned that the Piazza Duomo is restricted to residents only for vehicle passage.

Review 5:Hosts Pasquale and Antonella are eager to please their guests. They are cordial and friendly.

Review 6:Our shower wasn't working quite right but I'm sure that was a temporary glitch. The room doesn't have air conditioning which may be important to some people. And it is important to pay attention to the parking directions because it is illegal to drive your car into the Duomo Square (as we found out).

Review 7:This palazzo is perfectly located right in Duomo Square. The room was enormous, as was the bathroom and the rest of the palazzo was obviously very historic and elegant. The breakfast was very good too, with lots of choices. The hosts are extremely helpful and they went completely out of their way to help us sort out a parking problem with the local police, in addition to giving us a mini-drive tour of the town and the surrounding area.

Review 8:Absolutely no signs to help find the place. Had to kidnap the owner to get car near hotel. Being run on a shoestring.

Review 9:Slightly faded palazzo with huge potential. Could not have been better situated.

Review 10:A bit cool, heating was not on. You need an extra blanket at this time of the year.

Review 11:What an experience to sleep in a huge palazzo bedroom! Bathroom was equally big!

Review 12:The hotel is right on the square and above a restaurant. We stayed on a Friday night and the young people in the restaurant and on the square kept us up until 1 AM. If the room could be made quieter, this would have been an excellent place to stay.

Review 13:Staff was very nice. Room was beautiful. Breakfast was very good.

Review 14:Breakfast just adequate Rooms can be noisy at night as right on the main square

Review 15:Lovely people Right on the square and in the middle of lots of great action Good eating recommendations

Review 16:Breakfast could be improved with fresh bread rolls and variety of cereals

Review 17:Location. Friendly hosts

Review 18:Excellent location, charming authentic furnishings, huge bathroom

Review 19:Really great place and setting, in part of 1st floor of impressive 17th century place in Lucera's main square. I had a spacious room with antique furmiture & a spacious but modern bathroom. Friendly & very helpful hosts (spent a lot of time on phone and on-line finding bus times for me). A real find - and great value for money.

Review 20:The low price charged! we would willingly have paid more for this wonderful visit.

Review 21:This is a very grand apartment in a beautiful Palazzo. Our hosts were charming and so helpful. A wonderful breakfast was served in an elegant dining room, there was even home made cake!

Review 22:Would be nice if the hosts would speak some essential English.

Review 23:Very authentic room in a old beautiful palazzo near the Dome in the center. Good breakfast with strawberries and chocolate... Kind hosts, who make you feel welcome.

Review 24:Parking is available nearby but can be a challenge to find.

Review 25:A beautiful Pallazzo directly on the main Piazza of Lucera but not noisy. Helpful, attentive staff and well decorated rooms.

Review 26:We loved everything

Review 27:Pasqual and Antonetta are the perfect hosts. so friendly and warm. The Palazza is a dream and a very special place to spend time with Central access to the town and its facilities. Delicious breakfast and a wonderful experience.

Review 28:Due to the best location, weekends can be a bit noisy (stayed over saturday), but us it didn't bother.

Review 29:Great location, frienly and helpfull staff, nice and very big room, warm recommendations!

Review 30:The Internet connection was a bit moody but considering the age of the building and the heavy walls, it seemed only logical and was almost a positive addition - to be put back into the real historical times. Apart fom this every other thing was just marvellous!!!

Review 31:A great historical house at the main plaza in the city and still very quiet, comfortable and equipped to highest standards. Very friendly, helpful and hospitable couple who run the B&B in their family place. A real treat.))

Review 32:Shower head needs replacing.

Review 33:Very grand room in a very grand palazzo in the centre of the old town. Plenty of parking nearby at a reasonable rate.
