Reviews for Benners Hotel
Review 1:It was very quite for new years eve maybe a bit too quite for me and my boyfriend. The town is a bit rough that's my opinion ...we were in a pub right across the road it started getting messy so we went back to the hotel. Depends what you are into but it was very quite ...no one dancing either !
Review 2:Very spacious room very comfortable very relaxing ... It was a beautiful hotel and the food was amazing !
Review 3:Room decor bit dated compared to the reception/bar/cafe. Heating wouldn't work. No hot water in bathroom tap and shower took nearly 10 minutes to warm up and only one of us had one. Breakfast was only average, no yogurts to accompany fruit. No smoked salmon came with my wife's scrambled egg. Toast/bread arrived very slowly even though the cafe was not busy. No ketchup or brown sauce left out. The coffee was excellent however.
Review 4:Location - very central parking on street however. Very quiet room (back of hotel). Very helpful receptionist.
Review 5:Stayed here to surprise parents for 40th wedding anniversary the staff kept it all quite for us have to say they were excellent couldn't have done enough for us.
Review 6:Lack of parking. I had to park a good bit away from hotel and weather conditions were very bad.
Review 7:Location. These people know how to treat their customers. Attention to detail excellent.
Review 8:Amazing welcome, nicest Irish breakfast I've ever had! Although it was for a sad occasion the hospitality made the stay enjoyable I would definitely return ?
Review 9:There was no hot water in my bathroom. I told the receptionist and she said I needed to let the hot tap run for ten minutes. When I said I had let it run for ten minutes she just looked sceptical and didn't make any apology.
Review 10:The room, the bar, the pint, most of the staff
Review 11:Window only opened a tiny bit, probably a safety issue as we were up high. And a fridge wud have been nice.. but for the price I was very happy.
Review 12:Very very clean, great barstaff, late guest bar, all good here
Review 13:Hard to find anything wrong except lack of on-site parking but there are two public car parks very close to the hotel and the overnight rate was very inexpensive.
Review 14:Very friendly and helpful staff. Central location. High quality food in restaurant.
Review 15:It was a slap in the face after paying €130 for a room for a night that we also had to pay extra for parking or risk being clamped. This should be specified on the web site.
Review 16:The food was great, room was great,
Review 17:Lack of parking. Had to go to garage and pay extra 6 euro each night to stay there.
Review 18:Friendliest staff ever experienced in all my many years of travel.
Review 19:Close to rail station. Excellent customer service with front desk receptionist Greta and Claire. Made us feel at home and assisted us with taxi service. Genuine friendly staff. Look forward to next trip and will certainly pass along reference to friends who travel to Tralee
Review 20:I waited a long time to be served and when I did I asked for the eggs benedict and I was just given two eggs on their own?! I then asked for toast which turned up 10 minutes later.
Review 21:The bar/reception staff.
Review 22:I booked a twin room but it was actually a double room we got and it definitely could have been cleaner
Review 23:It was central to everything the food was delicious and staff were extremely helpful
Review 24:From the moment we walked through the door the staff could not facilitate us enough. Even on their busiest weekend of the year they were so helpful for all our requests, especially the two lovely girls at reception (thanks for the help with the poster
Review 25:Rear bedrooms of Hotel beside church & church bells ring every hour, & to front of hotel is main street & pubs across street can be a little noisy on occasion. but would defiantly stay overnight again for central location to town Centre.
Review 26:Very helpful & friendly staff at all levels of staff, from management to cleaners, bar staff, waiting staff, reception staff all bright bubbly & extremely helpful. Breakfast staff really good under pressure, food good & hot when served.
Review 27:Noise from the street, not only from the traffic and the church bells, but from the pub across the street.I bought a pair of ear plugs for €1 & that sorted that problem out.It wouldn't prevent me from staying here again.
Review 28:Friendly staff, ability to get an early check-in ,cleanliness of whole hotel.Excellent breakfast menu- not just standard fry or cereal as I've found in other hotels I've stayed in in Tralee.I'm down every 3 months and will certainly come here over other hotels and B&B's I've stayed in in the past.
Review 29:The location of the hotel is great as it's nice and central, but the proximity to the Church (and it's regular bells) and the bar opposite might be an issue for some
Review 30:Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast is from a menu rather than a buffet which is good, but limited. They are also really flexible about breakfast times.
Review 31:The WiFi kept going down which was frustrating. The breakfast was less than average.
Review 32:The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful and the location is great and near the railway station.
Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:From the first moment we entered hotel we were met by friendly welcoming staff. All staff were great but the two ladies on reception were particularly helpful and friendly
Review 35:Only thing I didn't like was the bed was as hard as a rock i found it hard to sleep on with my arthritis
Review 36:Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful hotel is spotless. I've already booked my next stay at benners and would recommend it to anyone
Review 37:It's right above a party zone. We couldn't escape it. Their own nightclub thumped out beats until after midnight. The party on the street went until after 2. No sleep.the hotel even leaves earplugs 8n the room. Silly me, I should have known then.
Review 38:Pleasant looking. Clean.
Review 39:Very disappointed that it doesn't have parking. The girl at reception seemed a bit surprised that we were looking for somewhere to park. I don't know how this hotel rates so highly in the reviews. It is very average. Rooms are outdated. Was very stuffy, no air con. It was also v noisy - during dinner there was what seemed like a 21st party in the area next to the dining room. We couldn't hear ourselves with the noise and the constant coming and going through the restaurant.
Review 40:Food was nice. Excellent breakfast. Lovely waitress serving in restaurant.
Review 41:Loved our short stay at Benners Hotel. Staff were so helpful & very friendly. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Free Wifi was fab, especially for the kids. Food was delicious.
Review 42:No smoking rooms available. Should definitely consider this as an option for travellers. Just found a hotel with wifi in the room and smoking rooms available - perfect.
Review 43:Staff were great and very helpful. Wifi in the room allowed me to work without having to go to the reception for connectivity.
Review 44:The hotel was great but my particular room was very warm and stuffy. No AC and opening the window let in the noise of units running in adjoining rooms.
Review 45:Benners is right in the heart of Tralee; walking distance to pubs, restaurants, and the Siamsa Tire. Very attentive and helpful staff.

Review 50:Room lovely. Comfortable. Quick drinks at bar before bed. arrived 10pm abd left 7.30am so not much time to use the facilities but all were grand
Review 51:Car park didn't open until 7am and I had to leave early. No wifi on the 3rd floor meant I could not do my work. Breakfast starts 30 minutes too late in my opinion.
