Reviews for The White Lady Hotel
Review 1:Didn't matter much to me but TV is about 14-15". Have been warned about room proximity to night club when checking in and that was fine on New Year's Eve. Might not be so on other days. What was very surprising is that we could hear the people in the room above walk, talk and more. Earplugs were unfortunately of little help.
Review 2:Big plus: early check-in hours. Really liked the room, hotel location and facilities (except for lack of a hairdryer. Simply nowhere to be seen). Clean room, fresh sheets, towels etc. Nice clean bathroom. Close proximity to harbour, restaurants, shops. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try breakfast even though it was included in room price.
Review 3:The sense of welcome and hospitality was outstanding. The staff were very keen to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.Hopefully we will get back there one day.
Review 4:from the moment we arrived looked after happy friendly staff , we were late up for breakfast and was not a problem at all , can not wait for next year
Review 5:Got up during the night to get a drink down stairs no 1 at reception the whole place was locked €120 a night it's more like a b&b and rooms were full of dust I'm not a fussy person by any means but paying 120 a night I expect some bit out of the place wouldn't stay there again no way
Review 6:The man at reception was nice when we checked in
Review 7:The room was supposed to have a hair dryer but there wasn't one. There was mould in the shower and the surround of the window in the bathroom was filthy. There was no toilet room holder and nowhere to put toiletries in the shower cubicle. This room had a double & a single bed in it which made it very cramped. There was 400 mm between the beds and the wall on the other side of the double bed. Very uncomfortable bed because it was 2 singles put together and the ridge in the middle was painful. The hotel was supposed to have wifi in all areas but the signal was so weak in the room it was impossible to access it. The heating was on in the corridors but not in our room or bathroom, consequently it was cold. Also, breakfast was not available until 10 am on Sunday morning, which in our opinion is far too late.
Review 8:We liked the evening meal in the bar - the service and the atmosphere were very good. Breakfast was very good.
Review 9:Anthony was an outstanding ambassador for Kinsale. He had great suggestions for what to see, what pubs to go to etc. The food at the White Lady was excellent. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Review 10:Room was quite basic for the price, no fridge and a bit drab . Bed sheets/blankets felt cheap and rough to sleep in.
Review 11:Staff were very friendly and helpful.Great location, parking and restaurant options.
Review 12:Had to ask for hair dryer, towels small and thin, bed hard, room cold, room very small, no shelving in bathroom, not clean, one staff member not friendly, one friendly.
Review 13:Location
Review 14:Breakfast staff could have been better. Room very basic for the price but I guess, being in a tourist hotspot, you have to pay it.
Review 15:Great location. Fantastic welcome. Evening staff and food were excellent.
Review 16:The restaurant was really busy when we tried to have dinner there. We sat for about 10 minutes without any service and just decided to go somewhere else. The hotel was terrific, just not sure about the restaurant.
Review 17:We loved Kinsale! The staff was wonderful at The White Lady and the rooms were great. Good light, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, a good amount of room.
Review 18:Room 7, must be the worst room that I have ever stayed in...no view and smell from the kitchen exhaust fan blows into the room..
Review 19:Food was great and the atmosphere in the pub every night is worth coming back for.
Review 20:Service was hit and miss. Coffee at breakfast was like water, not great quality. Outside door slammed and literally shook the rooms above it. Cleaning lady not in good form on our visit and took it out on the poor Hoover.
Review 21:Most staff were friendly and approachable. Rooms were a decent size although didn't have a hair dryer or iron. Dinner portions were quite big so no need for a starter!
Review 22:It was a bit noisy early in the morning due to other guests banging doors
Review 23:Location, staff, price for bank holiday weekend was very reasonable. Bed was very comfortable and room was spotless.
Review 24:The size of the bed was tiny. We were two friends going to a wedding and bed was very small.
Review 25:The price and you didn't have to pay until you left. The guy who met us when we came was very pleasant and welcoming.
Review 26:There was no music in the bar. They closed the nightclub early because there was nobody there. The room was small and basic. Little bit overpriced!

Review 31:Staff were very friendly. Bar was nice and cosy. Rooms nice. Breakfast very tasty and served up to 11am.
Review 32:Had kitchen exhaust hood outside our window, was hot while we were there so while our window was open the room was smelly until the kitchen shut down. Lots of photos around from Eurppe Ryder cup wins.
Review 33:Easy walking distance to sites; restaurant and bar seemed popular.
Review 34:No coffee/tea making facility in room, asked for a tray but never arrived
Review 35:Staff were exceptional, really great place, though we had a couple of issues with a leaky gutter outside the window! Not sure if I would want to stay at the weekend when it becomes more of a night club, Great breakfast and perfect location
Review 36:Small room blood and hair on bed .No hot water in shower . Extremey warm in room with not Windows that can opeb Overpriced would not return if paid
Review 37:Nothing
Review 38:Outlook from room poor, no hospitality tray, mirror light in bathroom not working. No extras at all. Expensive by comparison with others.
Review 39:Breakfast ok. Room large enough.Easy parking.
Review 40:3 floors, no elevator
Review 41:The dining room served good food, and there was also a pub on the property. Low-key, comfortable atmosphere. Free off-street parking
Review 42:Bathroom needs a shelf and a small shelf in the shower to put things. Not a big problem but would be a useful improvement.
Review 43:Location, quiet room, hotel restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, friendly helpful staff, value for money. Shower was very functional unlike in some other hotels. Parking is on site.
Review 44:Wish it had a lift. No big deal, really. The staff helped with the luggage.
Review 45:So close to everything. The room windows opened, which was lovely. The staff was very kind and helpful. They even made a pot of REAL coffee for us in the early morning.
Review 46:My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, Anthony (Owner) and his staff were so accommodating and friendly it was the best experience we ever had during our many travels to Ireland. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of during our stay there. Our last day, we had to leave early in the am to drive to Galway and Anthony opened up the restaurant 2 hours early to allow my family and I to eat breakfast as he knew we had a very long drive ahead of us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it’s a fun, comfortable, friendly and very satisfying stay. The hotel rooms are cozy and comfy, the experience is very exceptional and the food is some of the best I have had over in Ireland. Thank you to everyone for making us feel special and make our experience wonderful!
Review 47:I had no complaints and would only make the minor comment that the room was a bit on the small side and coffee making facilities would have been welcome.
Review 48:There are no views from the hotel but otherwise it is very well situated close to the waterfront and the town centre in one of Kinsale's winding streets. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and on my arrival invited me to "make myself at home", something that was easy to do in this small intimate hotel.
Review 49:I cannot find anything to dislike
Review 50:I liked everything about this hotel.it was so cosy and it was immaculately clean.nite club was great too.staff were lovely.great breakfast.great value.

Review 52:Welcome from Peter at White Lady. Breakfasts on both mornings. Kinsale is a magic place to spend with friends. Close to the centre and at a reasonable price.
Review 53:Probably the first hotel that I've come across in Ireland that does not have tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Small lights by the mirror in the bathroom not working. They were my only two faults.

Review 60:The breakfast was really lovely. The room was nice and spacious. The shower was very powerful. The docor was very modern.
Review 61:no reception staff, or very little no after hours residents bar hallway upstairs and room was roasting, luckily we had big windows that opened out double bed was small and radiator right beside it was a nuisance bin collection outside made an awful racket really early one morning I usually like to stay in a hotel with a gym and spa, none available..but we knew that when booking

Review 66:Excellent, powerful shower. Great breakfast. Great location in the centre of Kinsale.
Review 67:For the price this hotel does not supply the basics one would expect in a hotel. Breakfast not available until after 9am which is a little late if you need to be away early

Review 71:Bed was a bit hard for us.
Review 72:Loved the 19th hole pub, it's a must for any golfer. Got a very warm feeling there, among the locals and tourists. When our steak came out overcooked, they replaced it immediately with a better one. The location was good, with proximity to the other pubs and restaurants, and to the waterfront. Breakfast was first rate, with "perfect" porridge. Good wifi access. High thread count sheets! Private parking!
