Reviews for Casale Giancesare
Review 1:Family was very helpful and provided choices for dinner and also showed how to navigate local roads to Paestum. Room was beautiful and great views of countryside to ocean. Owner showed us history book of Paestum and also during war (1943). Loved our stay.
Review 2:We had a lovely room with a private entrance; the views were amazing. Beautiful gardens with hammocks dotted here and there on undercover patios. Comfortable lounging areas overlooking the swimming pool. Plentiful breakfast. A wonderful treat!!!
Review 3:Good location..Claudia was very helpful. . Steps up to Ravello good to increase your heart rate Enjoyed our concert and the gardent in Ravello Good breakfast
Review 4:I can't recommend this B&B too highly. Nice room (not luxurious), grounds and pool absolutely gorgeous. We were served an amazing dinner, with every conceivable way of cooking mozzarella and ricotta, and great home produced wine.
Review 5:Additonal foods for breakfast, eggs, meat, and water was very high priced. Bread for breakfast was too hard and old. No refrigorator in the room. Not allowed to bring food into the hotel, this is not very practical with children, water that we could buy at the place got warm in 30 min. Checkout at 10. Aircon in loftroom didnt make the room cooler before the second night. 5 out of 6 in our family got sic with vomiting and diarrea, the staff was obviously also sic, but continued working and propably infected more guests also.
Review 6:Nice pool and garden, with lots of shaddow and hammocs.
Review 7:Nothina

Review 9:Nothing! Probably would be best to come with a car so that you are ableto easily explore the local area however Enzo was amazing, picking us up& driving us wherever we wanted to go.
Review 10:Everything! From the moment we arrived we were blown away by thehospitality we received from Enzo & Anna plus the amazing location. The food & serenity is incredible. Just what we needed, perfect forrelaxing. Antonino was also super helpful with all our needs, transportto & from etc. Felt as though we were in the heart of Italy amongsta vineyard & olive trees plus the mozzarella in the region is thebest in Italy! Loved it.
Review 11:It is difficult to reach and there is nothing around.
Review 12:The view, garden and pool are gorgeous. The owners are extremely nice, he even took us to his favorite restaurant.
Review 13:This is a place where you can feel at home. It is simple but comfortable and a great place to stop to get your batteries recharged. It was very close to the Greek ruins.
Review 14:Nothing negative to write about
Review 15:We loved everything about this place. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm and their efforts to make our stay enjoyable never waned The setting and accommodations are superb with expansive views out to the water
Review 16:The bad experience was my fault. It was nothing to do with the home. I didn't realise it was 4 kilometres from the temples. That is a bloody long way on two tired legs.
Review 17:The beautiful view plus the ancient trees in the garden, plus the best coffee (definitely no sugar required) that I have had in Italy.
Review 18:We booked the apartment. The room smelled moldy. Really moldy. Really soured the whole indoor experience. Outdoors was fine. Lovely. Although breakfast wasn't much to speak of.
Review 19:Loved the location. And the pool. And the kind hosts. They were very nice but I was especially disappointed in the room.
Review 20:Breakfast was very average. Did not meet description in reviews. Nothing homemade. Croissants, jam, whole fruits and yogurt.
Review 21:The views were stunning from the patio and sunroom. The sunroom was amazing.
Review 22:Welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Great dinner suggestion and guided us to the restaurant! The breakfast was amazing, with home made jams and jellies.
Review 23:Wonderful setting overlooking Paestum and the sea. Located in an easy to find yet secluded private setting. Very relaxing sitting on the veranda looking out over the grounds. Clean comfortable room. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Good wifi and easy parking in gated area. Highly recommended.
Review 24:Difficult to find. Small room adjoining utility room away from main building. Breakfast .. one large family catered for, other guests had to wait for tables to be set, all condiments on family's table...both on arrival and breakfast felt we were an inconvenience!!
Review 25:View and surrounds.
Review 26:Warmth and hospitality of the owners and staff, which included including finding us and picking us up when we arrived forlorn and dejected on a late, unscheduled train after a railroad strike.
Review 27:We are attracted by the Greek Temples but the gorgeous beaches nearby were tempting. At the Casale all was rest and quiet. The pool is perect, the entire complex well designed and tasteful, the ambiance in such a country house setting delightful. We did not want to leave. Antonino prepared for us on the veranda a dinner that ranks with the best we had during 30 days in Italy. The location lends itself to exploring the Cilento as well as the more famous Amalfi coast We were lucky to get a booking at this marvelous home of an enchanting family. Thank you everyone there!
Review 28:Everything was great. We actually were sorry not being able to spend more time at the hotel. A small tip; don't forget to ask for the mozerella farm and buy some, if it's close to the end of your trip. It was one of the best ones that we ate, actually was the best!
Review 29:We had a wonderful stay at casale giancesare, actually the best place we stayed at during our vacation. The place is very charming, the food is fresh and delicious and the hosts are welcoming, always availabele and offer a lot of information about the area
Review 30:Everything: the casale, the breakfast and dinner with superb local products, the swimming pool, the silence and the views, and above all, the owners hospitality.
Review 31:If we could stay forever, we would! An absolute gem of a place, very special. Tranquil environment, very comfortable accommodation and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy as your own. A great getaway and accessible to a number of excellent Italian outings in the local area.
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:Very friendly staff and owner who were very helpful and accommodating even when we arrived too early to check in but left our luggage so we could take our youngsters to the airport and explore Paestum.
Review 34:I can't say we disliked breakfast, however, the continetal breakfast with all sweet stuff is not our cup of tea. But we appreciated the choice of fruit. The TV in our room did not function properly.
Review 35:The setting with the view, swimming pool, country atmosphere, the old feel to the place, cosiness, not many guests,a lovely dinner made with many ingrediences coming from the owners' garden. There is an amazingly pleasant sitting room and library. It is probably one of the greatest places to stay in Paestum and around. We would definitely like to return.
Review 36:Wonderful location, comfortable room, local produce, lovely pool (May-Sep) and warm attention from the Voza family.

Review 52:This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first. The property is amazing with lovely outdoors areas and swimming pool. The owners are very friendly and the food amazing. We had appetizers made of local products and items produced from their property.
Review 53:The property was difficult to find with very little signage amd it was only by accident that we happened on to the correct road
Review 54:The people were great and very friendly Good value for money Great location to visit Paestum from
Review 55:Very simple breakfast, no fresh croissants.
Review 56:very friendly and helpful staff, green surrounding with great view to Paestum and a perfect pool to enjoy and relax.
Review 57:The location is difficult to find at first. There needs to be veryprecise directions given when reservation is taken. The area(Paestum/Capaccio) is super confusing! But the owners make up forany difficultly with their kindness.
Review 58:Incredibly wonderful staff and owners. Homey and comfortable, a homeaway from home. Lovely location, great rooms. The best hot shower ever-- better than at home in California. Excellent full breakfast anddinner cooked by owner. Can't say enough about how great it is.
Review 59:We had a very positive experience--nothing negative.
Review 60:We loved the warm welcome and friendly treatment from the family owners. The rooms were clean and sparkling and the facility is in such a lovely setting.
Review 61:We are English so it is always nice to have the facilities to make a cupof tea(coffee) in our room. They should also get more information onlocal attractions. E.G. a visit to Pompei is easy from the house, butthey do not push it as an option. Also they need to get more informationon the national parks, places to visit, etc.
Review 62:The family are brilliant and make every effort to help. Having dinner atthe house with them is fantastic. Their local knowledge is unbeatable, but I don't think they realise that with some more attention to detailthey could be unbeatable. For example compile itineraries for 1 day, 2day, 1 week visits, etc. recommending local resteraunts and knowingopening times as per the season, etc. we truly enjoyed our time at thehouse and will recommend it to our friends.
Review 63:We stayed on the top floor, and there was no window except a roof-opening. They had a big celebration on the first evening so it was hard to sleep till 2AM...
Review 64:The location is beautiful, we used it for a 2-days rest after an intensive week in the Amalfi Peninsula. Located on the hills low slope, viewing the valley west-bound till the sea - wow! The place is comfortable, owners are friendly and helpful. Recommended.
Review 65:Clean. Comfortable. Well furnished and well maintained. Thefamily/owners were very helpful and sociable. I was the only guest, so Iwas probably spoiled. The view is spectacular over the vineyards andPaestum to the sea. The building inside and the rooms are more spaciousthan the photos on the website indicate. The owners make their own wine, which is very palatable.
Review 66:Super friendly owners, great food and wine, fantastic view. Great place to relax.
Review 67:Delicious homemade food, sweet staff, incredible pool and fantastic view.
Review 68:Quiet, clean and comfortable, great views and informative helpful staff.
