This family-run hotel is in a very quiet location in the center of Matrei in East Tyrol, offering a perfect atmosphere for guests looking for an upscale 3-star hotel.
The ski area is only a few minutes away, and the ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel. There are individually designed rooms and apartments in this beautifully designed hotel. A large part of the hotel was reconstructed in 2007. As a national park hotel, the architects focused on wood and glass as building materials.
Relax in the new spa area, and enjoy a view of mountains, pastures and villages. Sit by the fire and admire architectural features created with stone, clay, wood, and water, which were inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Review 1：In sauna area we missed water & tea and it was too hot in relax area Better to get more towels for sauna

Review 3：Would like to have a gym in the hotel. I believe that is why is a 3 and not 4 stars...Probably I would not use it since I planned to have outdoors activities but seeing the service and the quality of the hotel, would be a nice thing to have. Didn't have enough time to visit their farm.

Review 4：The room on the new building are modern and spacious. We got one with bath which was a hit! The view of the mountains from it was amazing! Sauna was a dream! every evening we had the chance to enjoy it, specially the natural pool, that was delightful! Even the parking place was not enough (on highest season) we were able to park for free 1 block away (near the police station, so for sure it was secured)! Also the service from all of them (family owner and workers) was excelent! Very kind and servicial. Also I loved that they produce a lot of the products.

Review 5：The only two negatives were the mattress was slightly on the hard side for my personal taste and the weather wasn't great whilst we were there. Both relative and unpredictable.

Review 6：The village is lovely as were the people. The food was fantastic, not cheap but not too expensive. The room was very nice and clean. The location is perfect and the views were amazing.
