Reviews for Eco Hotel
Review 1:Heater doesn't work immediately.. you have to wait a minute or 2 before the water heats.
Review 2:near restaurants and very accessible. place is easy to find.
Review 3:staff (not courteous); cost not commensurate to the service provided in the hotel (as it apparently was a "limited service" hotel similar to Red Planet/Tune or Go Hotels).
Review 4:location, ambiance/design of the hotel
Review 5:Where do I start? Charging 9200 php for two nights in a tiny (and I mean tiny; 3m by 4m room!) room with no breakfast is easily three times too much! The staff couldn't tell us much about the trip to Taal Volcano (even though it's THE most popular thing to do in Tagatay!). Cleaning staff sit around all day, hogging the only comfortable sofa in the lobby, on the internet. They do not move when you approach so you sit on an uncomfortable stool searching for an already poor internet connection which is further slowed down by the staff using it! Even when called into action, when the dog (who lives unhygienically in the lobby area where people come to eat and drink) made a mess, the cleaner simply picked it up in a tissue and returned to her phone-no disinfectant or anything!! As mentioned, the room is so small there is literally no room to unpack and store anything-we had to use the floor! I've stayed in hotels in over 50 countries and this is among the worst!
Review 6:Great roof terrace with spectacular view over Taal Lake and the location is easy to get to. Having Ayala Mall across the road is convenient but crossing the road to get there is pretty dangerous!
Review 7:The room space was small for two adults. Does not even have a closet or space to place your clothes. You have to place your things on the floor.
Review 8:All the staff are friendly. The location is very near to the mall (just across the street)..
Review 9:There wasn't enough parking space but they allowed me to double park but had no vallet service. Blue, the house dog was barking at around 4ish in the morning then again around 7-8.
Review 10:The staff were friendly & accomodating. The hotel was well kept, clean & comfortable.
Review 11:I like the friendly staffs , the guard and the little dog named "blue" that welcomed us in our stay.. hehe such a comfy place to stay will definetly come back there.
Review 12:The room is not soundproof. And the garden is really not a good sight to see, that is if you are in the garden view room.
Review 13:The concept of the place, it is very creative. And I like he roof deck where you can have an overlooking view of the city lights during the night. I just hope they had complimentary slippers :)
Review 14:The WiFi service is not that good. The signal only reaches up to the lobby. Plus, the TV in our room (family room) has a line on the lower side of the screen which is sort of distracting.
Review 15:i loved the feel/ambience of the hotel. Tagaytay is the perfect place for Eco hotel! Loved seeing recycled materials used all over the place.
Review 16:° The rooms were too small. There was hardly any place to put your luggage and other stuff. At the price we paid (P5,700 per night), it's just not worth it. They should've put more shelves and/or hooks on some of the walls. ° There was no wifi inside the rooms. So if you have to do some work while on vacation, you'd have to hang out at the common areas. ° Not ideal for a staycation since you can hear every movement and conversation outside your room. ° The carpenters who were working there were not mindful of the guests sleeping or resting. You could hear them drilling or hammering on the other side of the walls so early in the morning. ° No room slippers. ° No floor mats or towels, so the water could get to the floor outside the bathroom.
Review 17:° Love the location. It's just right across Ayala Malls - Serin and beside Pamana Restaurant. ° Everything's new and impeccably clean. The room we got (with the view of the lake) smells fresh. ° The staff were responsive to our requests and complaints. The night guard made sure our important equipment in the parked car were safe.
Review 18:none
Review 19:i like the fact that the hotel has an overlooking view of taal ohh and btw the staff at the hotel even helped me organized a surprise for my "COMPANION" that day :) the place was so relaxing and you get the value for your money definitely recommending this place to my friends
Review 20:The charge for an extra person (1440 pesos) is too expensive for me! Well it was my fault for not reading the Hotel Policies prior to booking! Anyways, we paid in full and the Hotel was already informed that there will be three of us occupying the room but they only prepared 2 towels and they forgot to put a roll of tissue paper in the toilet! AND!!! I found a pair of faux eyelashes in the vanity sink ? but what really disappointed me is the wifi connection! It is only available in the lobby area. The staff said that the connection inside the room got fried up or something ?. I really hope they will fix the wifi connection and the cleaners should be more meticulous in sweeping the room! I am not really sure if I will re-book but if I find a great room deal from EcoHotel in the future then maybe I might! I hope by that time, they will upgrade the services they offer!
Review 21:I liked how the hotel embodies its Eco-friendly theme! The outside looks really captivating with its vintage aura and the entire hotel screams sophistication with its state of the art recycled decorations! If you have deep appreciation for the arts then this place will get you hooked up! I loved the glass bottle chandeliers, the re-used egg tray decor, the vintage chest box in the lobby, and the wall paintings! There is so much to see in Tagaytay but a tour inside the small hotel is worth your time! Above all, the highlight of this hotel is it the Taal lake view on the rooftop where you could take a breathtaking picture with the Taal lake as your background! The location is also a plus! It's just one ride to Sky Ranch and other famous attractions in Tagaytay and on top of that the Walmart/ mall is just across so it is not really a problem if you want to grab a meal or in need of a quick grocery! Public buses to and from Manila also pass by just outside the Hotel! There is no need to pay extra to go to the Terminal! ?
Review 22:The room is small. If you are more than 1.85m tall, the bed will be not comfortable. Have no place to put the stuff and bagages. The air conditioning is very noisy. WiFi connection not working well on room. Th room on street is noisy, the other rooms have view to field. We get Citadine apartment studio for same price in Manila...
Review 23:Hotel and room is clean and located just in front of supermarket and restaurants. The staff is ok
Review 24:Really small room and no wifi in the room
Review 25:Clean room, The best location, nice view of Taal lake and staff are so kind You can also see the brandnew mall across the hotel
Review 26:Given the fact the room was sold to us with partial lake view, we just saw a wall from the window. For this amount of price, 4500 php per night i'd expect that the wifi should work and to receive shampoo too. They could not even give me an official receipt, just an acknowledgment that is surprising since the place is open for months. Some furnitures look great, however for this proce is ridiculous. The bed and the location was fine. Never stay on the groundfloor as who start to eat the small breakfast will be there next to the doors. Definitely not recommended the place!
Review 27:The bed and the location
Review 28:I had to leave the next day :-(
Review 29:Its understated luxury gives overwhelming comfort. I felt welcome and at home as soon as I stepped in. The staff not only took care but anticipated my needs. The room's pine scent combined with the fresh Tagaytay breeze provided soothing comfort that sent me into a deep slumber. Breakfast was deliciously filling and coffee was gorgeous.
Review 30:As I have said, I believe that the hotel is in it's soft opening (unfortunately it was not mentioned on the web). So far as I was checking in, I tried to hand in my charge card unfortunately they were still on cash payment basis, the next thing that i was told that the air conditioners were not yet working so it was a fan room, the downstairs room does not have a hot and cold water as yet except for the second level (it was almost 8 pm and with my nephews I did not want to drive further and look for another hotel for the kids were so tired already. In short we took the two reserved rooms disappointed in some ways that these things were not all mentioned on the web- good thing my brother-in-law has still an extra cash to make up for the full payment). The room was nicely done/made but you have to buy your own bath soaps and extra charges for extra towels. There was no available hair dryer.
Review 31:As you walk in the place it was really brand new (still on its soft opening) and and was very clean (looks so cozy and nice). The beddings has a very nice scent to it. Their interior has a very nice concept of recycled materials which is a big plus. There were good choice of cable network. Second level room has a very nice view of the lake and with wide windows you can open with a nice feel of the natural breeze.
Review 32:Facilities- no slippers, no breakfast for that rate
Review 33:The eco-friendly design interior. Location
Review 34:Breakfast offered - only coffee and bread. No other choices.
Review 35:Clealiness of the room and customer service.
Review 36:Limited parking
Review 37:Pet friendly
Review 38:What i like the m0st are the recyclable materials that bec0me a worthy part of the r0oms and the h0tel dec0rs as well.
Review 39:The room is too humid and noisy.
Review 40:The location is great, staffs are helpful.
Review 41:Not much sound proofing.
Review 42:Cozy
Review 43:Breakfast is just bread rolls, but relatively it's okay because there are a lot of breakfast place around the area.
Review 44:Location of the place is great
Review 45:No place to put your luggage. We had to place them on the floor. No exhaust on their rest room.
Review 46:Premises toward the lake view were trashy. The room was so small that a person taller than 1.75 cm cannot fit in the bed.
Review 47:The view and the staff.
Review 48:Clean rooms, the view at the rooftop and the whole place itself!
