Review 1：The apartment isn't the size that they advertise! It's actually half!!! (40m2 instead of 95m2) Be aware that the "deluxe" apartment does not have an own terrace. Plus it consists out of 1 bedroom and 1 livingroom with a sleepingcouch and above it a balcony (1.20meter high... so you cannot stand) with another bed. So not much privacy if you are there with two couples like we were. Kitchen is smelly. Livingroom is very dark. The kitchen (where the main seating area is) does not have a view. You look out on a wall and the neighbours trash. When we complained about all this to the owner (Paola). We mainly got a "just enjoy Sicily, stop complaining" - answer. Would not go here again. Also the walls are THIN. We woke up every morning at 8:30 because of a kid next door... And the kid probably woke up because of us talking with each other till late in the evening. Not ideal.

Review 2：Right at the beach with clear water. Sicily has better more beautifull area's though. Mr Gaddi / the host was a nice guy. Apartment has two bathrooms.

Review 3：Beware the private beach can disappear, on our first couple of days it was glorious yellow sand but the rest of the time there was just seaweed. Fantastic how it changes and actually you can access the full beach round the corner.

Review 4：The space was phenomenal - an ideal location for the perfect girlie holiday. Lots of sun, sea and beach for lazy days and great nights. The accommodation is spacious for 4 couples or 5/6 singles as long as you are happy to share. The view is phenomenal - choose the ground floor if there are a few of you - muche better outdoor space. The property manager introduced us to his group of friends which was an added bonus for the holiday!

Review 6：We travel a lot every year. We look for comfort, cleanliness, quietness and hospitality from the hostesses...we give 5 stars to this Hotel in all of the above. I loved the spacious private balcony,the clean rooms, the facility has everything I needed to do it myself and save €€€ . The staff comes over to check on your during the week. If you need anything email the owners and they will answer you promptly and cordially, best people ever! They were supra kind with us and helpful. We will definitely come back next year! The sound of the waves at your window at night rock you to sleep. We loveeeeeed!

Review 7：Car absolutely necessary. No services in the near vicinity. Kitchen and the bathrooms not heated so they can be chilly in the winter.

Review 8：Nice new and well equipped apartment on the beach line with a view. Good base for exploring southern and eastern Sicily on your own. Were there in the winter, so very quiet in the neighborhood.

Review 10：Very quiet and close to seaside. Amenities (accomodation) are pefect. There is everything you require for quiet, pieceful, comfotable leisure.

Review 11：Sound isolation could be better. Study your Italian, otherwise you 'll be marooned.

Review 13：Management. When you arrive, manager meets you with a big smile and assurance that he will do his very best to make your stay at Villa Amatea unforgettable. "Whatever you need, just call Eric" he tells you in bad mixture of French and Italian. But when you call hem indeed with a request (to deal with broken shower for example), you get an answer "OK, domani (tomorrow)" which, I guess in Sicilian means" forget about it. By e-mail in advance they informed, that cleaning is provided on weekly basis, and if your you can get it more often, you can pay supplementary 50 Euro. Indeed when after one week I asked cleaning lady whether she is going to clean our apartment, I got into a very long discussion in Italian with google translator, whether I paid for it or not. In the end we got a clean appartment, (but only because we insisted on changing apartments) but had to keep old towels, which were to be changed "domani" see above. Our neighbors didn’t see cleaning lady once in their 10 days stay. Internet has limitation 7 Gb for 4 apartments. Not very much taking into consideration that there is no TV channels except Italian ones. To charge Internet with manager will take you 1-2 days with few times reminding. CONCLUSION. By no means all above was written to make impression it's a bad place to stay. Villa is amazing. But just keep in mind that you will not get good service. And if you need something, easier do it yourself.

Review 14：Villa itself is great! Great location for those, who travel with their own car. Located in a very calm cosy area, right by the sea (you can even enjoy your almost private beach), at the same time 10 min drive to the center of Siracuse. Good fully equipped Arenella sandy beach is 5 min drive. Rooms are light and clean, nicly designed, furniture looks quite new, kitchen equipped with everything needed (might need a big strong knife if you are going to cook a lot). Sun beds available for all guests. There is even a barbeque in the patio, which we frequently used with our neighbors for joint fish BBQ nights.

Review 15：- Far from shops, must need a car - owner is careless, not present when we arrived and didn't provide wifi as promised - cockroaches in the bedroom
