Reviews for Castlehouse B&B
Review 1:We had a wonderful stay in John´s B&B! The house is beautiful, nicely decorated, John was very helpful with tipps where to go for dinner or hiking. Very handy located also just 8 minutes from the National Park and Kylemore Abbey. We will be back!
Review 2:A very warm and cosy room, super clean and tidy. We stayed here for two nights, had wonderful breakfasts and host John was so welcoming and helpful with tips on places to visit in the local area. John kindly lit a fire for us in the morning for breakfast, so lovely. What we loved the most was the comfort of the room and feeling of getting away from it, leaving tv's at home and having the beautiful scenery and local pubs and attractions as the only distractions. The second morning we had to get up quite early and John kindly got up early to make us our breakfasts of choice, which were delicious. A really enjoyable stay, would highly recommend and would love to return.
Review 3:Lovely place with a lot of personality. Small but cozy and confortable. Super nice owner and a really great breakfast. Bike friendly. By the way, there is a nice pub just at the side of the B&B.
Review 4:Friendly host, recommended a good restaurant nearby. The room was quite old, but the bathroom was recently renovated. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok.

Review 9:My father and I have stayed here several times over the years, and we'll return again. It's such a cozy place to stay, and John (owner) cares for his guests so well. Best full Irish breakfast!
Review 10:Located in a quite village close to the beach, the rooms were comfortable and warm, some of them with nice views to the sea. The manager was kind and always very solicitous, he let us use the sitting room which had a nice fireplace and we could chill and enjoy some time with friends. The breakfast was varied, you can choose continental or full irish breakfast.
Review 11:having gone there to the region since childhood i was unphased. basic clean traditional establishment with nice welcome for €60 for two. no faults at all.
Review 12:Only thing I'd change is to put kettles for tea/coffee in the rooms, cause I like to make my own coffee, but the host would gladly make you some tea or coffee and this didn't bother me.
Review 13:Room was small but bright and airy and had fab view; bed was very comfortable, bathroom huge, also with a great view. Very quiet and restful, host welcoming, everything spotless. Breakfast was good and the porridge was the best I've had. Nice walks nearby and a few mins walk to the village with two pub/restaurants and a hotel, for food. About 15 mins drive to Letterfrack where there is a good gourmet food shop as well.
Review 14:There were no big problems. Our room did have a squeaky bathroom door, and the bathroom was very small; however, all in all, this is a nice place to stay.
Review 15:The owner was friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The location is in a small town a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Clifden. It was easy to get to Connemara National Park. The included breakfast was excellent and was served in a room with a good view of the mountains.
