Review 5：During our stay, it was a common topic of am discussion among guests (and I agreed) that the front desk staff was grouchy and unaccommodating. Also, the pool staff was uptight. And the pool, gym and spa facilities were disappointing.

Review 10：the resort is truly artificial. villas in the borgo are all empty, have been sold to people who maybe stay there for a week or two per year. The borgo ("resort") lacks it's soul. Total reconstruction of a medieval tuscan village leaves more the impression of a Disney resort. If you are looking for an authentic experience, you'd better stay somewhere else. Once again, the hotel La Tabaccaia is nice and staff is very friendly, but don't expect anything unique or tuscan. Staff is friendly and aware of the lost-soul-issue.

Review 12：Lack of general facilities in hotel. No restaurant, no room service or real bar and no porter - all a problem if weather is wet. Also no plug in sink just running tap - difficult for a wet shave.

Review 23：The reception is not always properly informed or prepared. There were no laundry bags or price lists neither at the room nor at reception. I had to bring my own bag and just hoped that the pricing would be normal. The laundry was delivered in less than 24 hours in each of the two cases, but again without a price list. So I had to accept the total laundry price on the final invoice at check out which looked reasonable for me but which was not transparent. At breakfast they did not have any vegetables except tomatoes (if separately ordered) and no option for gluten free bread. They allowed us to bring our own bread though. A top hotel would have organized such an option, knowing that we stay there for one week. This would have been easy as one restaurant in the village even bakes gluten free bread.

Review 24：The location is amazing. The hotel itself is tastefully furnished and I am sure it would have received 4 stars if the restaurant was integrated in the hotel, instead of being 20m away which did not bother us at all anyway. So I would say it was more of a 4 star than a 3 star experience.

Review 26：Castelfalfi was the perfect location in the heart of Tuscany. The hotel was beautiful - rooms spacious and well specified. We stayed 5 nights and had the best of times. The whole village is peaceful and stunning. Void of tourists.

Review 27：The bed is very hard and as I like to sit at the balcony in the late afternoon before going to dinner, I must say that it is a surprise that the hotel is buildt so that when you sit down, you can not see the horison and the beautiful landscape due to the wall/roof in front. You just look directly into the bricks...

Review 28：We were here primarily because of the golfing which is outstanding - fairways and greens nicely maintenanced and breathtaking views - but we're surprised by the excellent hotel, good breakfast and very nice pool area. The Rosmarino restaurant next to the hotel is really good and affordable. The restaurant at 'il Borgo Castelfalfi' is simply fantastic but also more expensive. Nice wine and food and if you go by sunset, don't forget your camera...
