Reviews for Affittacamere San Giorgio
Review 1:We stayed 3 nights. The first 2 nights were quiet but on the third night, a Saturday, there was a lot of noise on the street with people talking loudly, laughing etc until 11:30PM which kept us awake despite the fact that the room was on the second floor and we closed the double-glazed windows and closed wooden shutters on the outside of the windows. I think they need to install an an additional window pane in front of each window to cut out street noise.
Review 2:The room was newly-renovated, large, clean, bright & comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. A fridge and kettle was provided so we could make our own breakfast. The guest-house is within easy walking distance from the train station but there is virtually no noise from the trains. There is a grocery shop and good restaurants nearby and walking trails with beautiful views. Prior to booking we asked for a room at the back but we were given a room at the front as the manager wanted to give us a nicer room. He was being kind as he thought it would be quiet as we were there at the end of the season (end of October). It was quiet for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed but not on the last night. So if you want to be sure of a quiet room, get a room at the back even though it is a plain room with no view.
Review 3:When we arrived the b&b was central and similar to all the pictures was saw online. But then we were escorted to a room far off which was the total opposite to the central b&b. Poor service. Not happy at all
Review 4:The view to the see was good but an absolute trek to get to our room.
Review 5:It's the perfect place to be when you are in Manarola and wanna stay to visit all the 5 Terre, the staff is amazing, place is clean and good price reasonable for the rest all over, the Appartment was clean big enough for 2/3 people we had the Appartment above and was amazing view raccomandent.... ++++
Review 6:Great location in our favorite town in Cinque Terre. Simone was very pleasant to deal with and very accomodating. Room was exactly as described and was even nicer than the pictures depicted. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more!
Review 7:The wifi was iffy, perhaps because we were on the top floor.
Review 8:The manager, Simone, was extremely knowledgeable and very willing to share his enthusiasm for the area. Conversation with him was a highlight of our travels.
Review 9:The tiled floors in the rooms meant that it was noisy at times when the room above us seemed to be pulling out a chair. This room was described as a luxury room, but it was more basic than the other two places we stayed in on our trip.
Review 10:The guesthouse was very conveniently located within 5 minutes walk of the train station, so we didn't have to haul our bags up steep streets. Manarola is probably one of the quieter villages in Cinque Terre, so we had plenty of options for dining, and it wasn't overrun with other tourists in the way that Riomaggiore and Monterosso seemed to be. The staff in the guesthouse were very helpful, and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our trip.
Review 11:The room was clean and well presented although we found LOTS of hair on top of the doona/duvet where the pillow area is. It was as if someone had a nap before we arrived or it wasn't cleaned properly. A little displeasing to have to then pull of that off before lying down. Everything else in the room was wonderful and service and location was great too!
Review 12:Location of hotel was very desirable. Straight out of the tunnel and in the middle of the village to either go up the hill or down to the water. Simone was helpful answering my questions prior to arriving and gave us very helpful directions, and on the day of arrival was very accommodating to us being late due to train arrival times messing up. The room was very comfy and we especially loved the spacious bathroom. It was nice to have a kettle in the room too with coffee and tea available and even a bar fridge. The view from our window was awesome we loved it. When checking out we even had help to carry out bags down the stairs. Overall wonderful stay! :)
Review 13:Manarola is the most picturesque village of all cinqueterre. Simone and Clara were very kind and helpful. Rooms were freshly painted and very clean. Had a great time there. Thanks Guys!

Review 17:The rooms are simple but have all that you need. However, the location is fantastic and the view from the rooftop terrace is the best in the city.
