Reviews for Baywatch B&B

Review 1:Tony and his family are very friendly and welcoming and the food served for breakfast is some if the best Ive ever had. I would highly recommended this place for any visitors looking for a true Irish welcome and real Irish hospitality.I'm Irish myself and I must say this is one of the best places I have stayed in the country. The surrounding area is breathtaking and Ill be coming back again for sure.

Review 2:Tony was a great host. He really looked after us and when we couldn't get food at the pub, he made us a lovely meal. And may I add, at no extra charge. You don't get that kind of hospitality everyday ?

Review 3:Nothing - wish I had longer there.

Review 4:Tony and Geraldine were genuinely friendly and helpful. Beautiful breakfast. Whiskey porridge was a first! and I was sorry that I only had it once. The scrambled eggs and salmon were just yum! Comfortable beds. Help with our bags up the stairs and Tony gave us a ride to our wedding venue. Loved their beautiful dog.

Review 5:Tony and Geraldine are the best hosts in Ireland! Even if we stayed only one night we got a lovely afternoon tea, coffee and cakes with a nice chat. The breakfast is so delicious, the homemade jams and the freshly squeezed orange juice are the icing on the cake... Our bedroom was nicely decorated and had an amazing view. Love to go back!

Review 6:You feel welcome, at home. Tony and Géraldine are kind and helpful hosts, the breakfast is delicious (Tony is a chef at the pub Paddy Coynes five minutes away!), nice, clean and comfortable room and bathroom, great location to discover Connemara (National park, kylemore abbey, Clifden) on the renvyle peninsula... A great stay !

Review 7:A fantastic B&B. Amazingly friendly owner, very comfortable, delicious breakfast. Paddy Coynes pub down road (B&B owner cooks there) is a must. Couldn't fault it.

Review 8:Americans never flip a red switches unless someone explains it is safe and necessary. Tell people that the red switch outside the bathroom turns on the hot water. Saves time for all involved

Review 9:Splendid breakfast

Review 10:A beautiful place. Very warmhearted and kindly people. A great hospitality. Phantastic breakfast. Tony and Geraldine are very lovely people. It was a wonderful time in Baywatch. Thanks for all!!! 10 points for all. Come and see this beautiful home.

Review 11:The welcoming offer of tea or coffee after we checked in was greatly appreciated, as was host Geraldine's genuine warmth and useful local information.

Review 12:Tony and Geraldine were the epitome of Irish friendliness and hospitality. We loved getting to know them and they were sure to make our stay as comfortable as possible (local recommendations, evening tea, cot for our infant, load of laundry, etc.). The breakfast was fantastic (small menu to choose from). We stayed two nights but there was plenty to see in the area, and with such a great B&B we wished we had stayed longer.

Review 13:Good location, close to Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey and Sky Road. Very friendly hosts, who gave us a lot of useful information on turistic attractions, pubs/restaurants and how to organize our visits. Excellent breakfast.

Review 14:We had a wonderful stay we had at Baywatch! Everything was immaculately clean, we were greeted with friendliness and much needed tea/coffee after a long drive. Tony's breakfast is definitely 5-star - the Pollock I tried was amazing! Patch the dog was great fun. I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone - we'll be back for certain! ☺

Review 15:The owner was really friendly and the breakfast was worthy of a 5-star Hotel. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Lots of books and DVD's to pass the time. Couldn't say enough good things about this B&B, will definitely be back.

Review 16:The friendliness and efficiency of our hosts. We have never experienced such a wide and tasty breakfast choice...Salmon and scrambled egg to wonderful Irish fry. Large choice of fresh fruit and bread with freshly ground coffee.

Review 17:That we booked only one night...

Review 18:Very friendly people gave us a welcome tea with jummy housemade cakes, nice big rooms with warm atmosphere. Breakfast was a dream, the best we had on our entire trip!

Review 19:My girlfriend wanted to take the dog Patch home with her, but that wasn't possible ;)

Review 20:We had a wonderful vacation in Ireland, and it all started at the Baywatch B&B, where we experienced a very warm welcome from Tony and his dog Patch, also offering us tea, coffee and biscuits and providing us with very useful information of what to do in the Connemara region. He gave good suggestions on excursions, things to do and places to eat (Paddy Coyne's)! The B&B itself was very comfortable, with large, clean and cosy rooms. Breakfast was amazing, as he is a good cook (also in Paddy Coyne's)! This pub/restaurant is only about a 100 meters from the B&B, so you can leave the car behind. Tullycross is an ideal location for planning trips in the Connemara region. To Tony : Say hi to Patch from us. By the way, have you tried the apron on, because we're still waiting for the picture ;)

Review 21:We love dogs and cats, but if you don,t or are sensitive just be aware. Patch is a sweet dog. My son loved playing with him.

Review 22:This is within a very short walk of the village. Two pubs and two restaurants. Tony is a great host. Tea and coffee and breads despite our late arrival. A Wonderful breakfast.

Review 23:We Didn,t like the fact that Baywatch is fukky booked up on the next weekend that we wanted to return!

Review 24:Our return visit to Baywatch B&B did not disappoint, and lived up to all our expectations. Extremely welcoming hosts, delicious breakfasts, home comforts, and every possible need was catered for, usually without even having to ask!

Review 25:None

Review 26:The breakfast and the location. The owner of the B&B is a chef. It certainly adds value to the lovely breakfast! The location is very near Kylemore abbey and the national park.

Review 27:I liked the warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality of the owners... very welcoming towards visitors into their home... endless tea and cakes... helpful chats about local knowledge & folklore... the turf fire... extremely tasty breakfasts (we stayed 3 nights)... the beautiful views... mulled wine... Patch the dog... 1 free taxi service! Simply wonderful! I've been visiting Connemara for over 25 years - this is, by far, the best accommodation yet.

Review 28:We had a great time here and with our host Tony and his family. He cooks the best breakfast that we ever had in Ireland and he was very friendly and helpful, he even gave us many good advice to plan our journeys. Our room was very big, cozy and very clean. We definitely recommend this B&B and we would love to come back!

Review 29:Gorgeous location within safe walking distance of tullycross village( has a superb restaurant ) .Superb breakfast ( prob best we have ever had anywhere in world ) .Amazing beaches nearby and superb walks which owner ( Tony ) will plan for guests .Really spacious room at a superb price .

Review 30:Very friendly people with a funny dog, the B&B's location is easy to find, outstanding breakfast Tony works in a pub nearby where you'll have some great dinner

Review 31:Not listed on Garmin. We had to ask for directions at gas station in town. So glad we did.

Review 32:Comfiest bed, tastiest breakfast, friendliest staff of our two-week Irish honeymoon

Review 33:Our hosts went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and at home, for example, a local angler was contacted and offered us tuition in fly fishing and access to fishing. The breakfast menu was extensive and personalised. Wet weather days were no problem as we read by the fire. We were reluctant to leave.

Review 34:This is definitely one of the nicest B&B we have been to. The view is simply superb, but, when you fotget it when you are served one of Tony's unbelievable breakfasts ! Besides his talents as a chef, Tony is ever helpful for guests, to indicate the nice roads and palces to see. And if you feel laike having a lazy day by the fireplace, Baywatch's liviing-room is as cosy and welcming as you would wish. Definitely recommended to discover the bueatiful surroundings of Connemara. A special hug to Patch, the playful and gentle house-dog !

Review 35:No toast for breakfast No one around when we arrived

Review 36:Friendliness of the owner. Really appreciated the effort to make us feel welcome during our breakfast on Sunday morning and cater for our every need. Will certainly recommend Baywatch and would like to visit again.

Review 37:Nothing

Review 38:We enjoyed everything about the Baywatch B&B. Tony is a great host. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. He is a chef in the wonderful local pub/restaurant and breakfasts are a gourmet treat. We even had fresh wild Atlantic Salmon for breakfast 2 of our 3 days there as it was salmon season. The B&B is the family home and is very comfortable. We were welcomed by coffee/tea and cookies. We had a big room on the second with a view out to the ocean. It's a easy drive to anywhere in Connemara from Tully Cross, which, though it is quite small, has 2 good restaurants and a couple of fine pubs. Most people seem to stay one night as a stop-over, but we found it a great place to stay for 3 nights and really enjoy the wild-west of Ireland.

Review 39:The location was lovely. Beautiful view. Tony was a wonderful host. He made great food...very welcoming with a tray of tea and cookies, baking...excellent breakfast..best we had in Ireland. Short walk to the village..pub. Loved to see the connamara ponies across the road and "Patch" the very well behaved dog. Would highly recommend this b&b!

Review 40:From the moment we arrived in TullyCross, we felt so welcomed, Tony met us in the village and showed is around his beautiful house which held an Ora of pride and passion, from facilities to cleanliness I couldn't fault a single thing, some lovely touches which showed Tony was not only running a business, but clearly cared for his customers, and really loved what he was doing. I'd recommend this to anybody as you get far more than you pay for.....plenty to mention but the breakfeast was damm impressive!!! 5 stars!

Review 41:Staying at the Bay Watch was a great experience! Friendliness, care, readiness to help - that's what we got there! Besides, the highest level of service (cleanliness, comfortable, spacious, quiet rooms, tasty breakfast/breakfasts, etc). We also enjoyed "extracurriculum" pleasures from our hospitable hosts. Not only did Tony give us a free lift to the bus, but also took us sightseeing in his car, treated us with oysters (as soon as he got to know it had been our old dream) and did many other touching favours. Thanks a lot! Highly recommended!

Review 42:Very welcoming & really enjoyed our cuppa in beautiful china, biscuits & lovely coconut cake, not forgetting the wonderful Irish breakfast in the morning

Review 43:We were attending a wedding and I have to say, Baywatch was just excellent. Our host was so welcoming and chatty and breakfast was really delicious, fresh fruit, fresh baked scone!!! We got a call on the way out inviting us for refreshments after the wedding ceremony, it was such a lovely thing to... thank you so much John and Louise

Review 44:Nothing!!!

Review 45:we had a very pleasant stay at the Baywatch B&B. Very nice owners, Tony was a very nice guy and cooked a mean breakfast! Patch the dog was also a massive hit, what a lovely dog, I wanted to take him home! The b & b is in a lovely area with beautiful scenery , and is very convenient for pubs, small shops etc. We stayed as we had a friend's wedding in the Connemara area, and we would certainly go back and stay at Baywatch! Great place and amazing value, the breakfast was really superb!

Review 46:Tea and fresh scones on arrival. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Creamy porridge followed by scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Super king size bed. Extremely comfortable.

Review 47:The only downside was the lack of good wifi in the room. It was acceptable, though, it did work but was very slow and some pages only half loaded due to this slow speed. Very minor nitpick, mind.

Review 48:The room itself was a very spacious, comfortable room with comfy double bed. TV, DVD, books all available for watching/reading. Ensuite was clean, tidy and spacious with everything you could want. Very quiet area and very beautiful setting - just a few minutes away from Clifden, Cleggan and many other beautiful towns and villages. For food, I tried two different dishes (full Irish on day one, scrambled egg on day two) and both were delicious. Additional bread, scones, cheeses, fruit all provided free of charge (the bread and cheese were fantastic). Lovely people, too, very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

Review 49:We did not stay longer!

Review 50:Amzaing location (close to ocean, fields, the Connemara national park). Amazing host, Tony! He was so friendly and amazing chef! (both dinner in the pub and breakfast!) Super room, bed was huge, sea view! Super good quality/ price ratio! Super nice Patch the dog! :D Working and fast WIFI!
