Review 1：Fridge/freezer leaked/defrosted and required regular mopping up. No kettle or tea making facilities in kitchenette so had to boil water on stove top. Internet access poor

Review 7：Our room was not clean. The bathroom was terrible. It had lots of mould and felt greasy in the shower. We could not use the communal terrace as it was taken over by a bunch of American tourists. There is nothing extra provided at all eg small toiletries. However you are bombarded with lots of rules. Not very welcoming at all. When I emailed the manager, Debrah Cappelli, she did not even bother to reply. I would not recommend this place.

Review 15：After a long day of travel, and walking uphill with heavy backpacks, we could not find the room. I called the number to the room and asked for directions. I was asked three times "Didn't I get an email with directions?" After telling the owner I would hang up and look for it, she told me the directions. This was rude and unnecessary as it took her less than 10 seconds to give the directions. Also, the bathroom could use a better cleaning and there is a big step down into the shower/tub.

Review 22：Seriously this is one of the best places to stay in what we would consider to be the best towns on the Cinque Terre coast. Every time someone shows you a picture or post card from Manarola you will be able to point out where you stayed. It has great views and even the washing line catches an awesome sunset. We hiked the trail, swam in the Italian Riviera and ate some of the best seafood. It was a highlight of our 5 week trip and we would thoroughly recommend Manarola and Arpaiu.

Review 29：The roof terrace made the difference to this place,it has the best view ,and is a sun trap during the day.We sat and watched the sun go down with a bottle of wine in the evening, just beautifull.
Review 30：Location, the tv don't work and had no instructions , wifi worked one day, talked to the girl who was in change after we found her, couldn't speak English and wasn't interested, it was 9am and she looked liked she hadn't slept, very poor customer service, pity because location was great

Review 32：The room was nice and clean. The approach corridor had nice scented wood which smelt good. The staff was nice. The communication from the owner via email was very clear though we never met her.
Review 33：The apartment was missing some of the additional touches that you find in similarly priced accommodations. A starter set of coffee, and some bathroom amenities would have set this apartment apart. Some mould in bathroom. No breakfast, which is commonly included in other accomodations in the area. Wifi failed on one of the two days there, we weren't able to get in touch with the caretaker by phone or at their other location during 'office hours'. We're still happy with our stay because of the view but will likely search other options for next time.
Review 34：Wonderful view really made the apartment. The location of the apartment was good and functional kitchen.
Review 35：The room was very hot, the only window only opens about 6 inches at the top. It is hinged at the bottom of the window sill. The room temperature did not drop under 30 degrees during the two days and with only a fan blowing hot air, you be the judge. Additionally the employee does nothing in the room, we asked for toilet paper and did not provideit. We bought a roll down in town. Last of all the bathroom is dirty and has mildew, see the pictures

Review 44：Many review has complained about the location of the hotel. I don't want to stress it further. But for anyone who wants to catch the scenery at dawn and dust, the extra effort of climbing all the narrow ladders may seem worth it. Otherwise, avoid it. My major dissatisfaction is about the host. Completely not reachable, mix our home with another guess's. The main entrance was locked and we stayed outside for about 20 minutes to try every possible way to access the host, but failed. In the end, it was the guest who came back rescued us and open the door for us. The next morning, we found a girl who speaks little English got us in touch with the host. The host said she sent SMS to my Mobile about the change of the room,etc. But I didn't get it at all. All in all, the most terrible experience I have ever had in my life.

Review 52：Only one ATM in Manarola, it was broken for the duration of our stay. Plan ahead and bring Euros. T.V. broken the first night of stay. Replaced the next morning without our requesting it. We're told that prior guests had damaged it. That was apparent, and not at all a problem for us. Lastly, when walking from train station - go right out of the tunnel, not left to use the ramp, not the dreaded 129 stairs.
Review 53：The property has rooms (like ours - zin zin) that has super views, and all the things to make you feel at home - as long as home is not the taj mahal. Due to ATM being down (only one in town) we "borrowed" 100 euros from our inn keeper, and paid her back with dollars upon our departure. Due to a misunderstanding We arrived with no Euro's. She went way beyond what most property managers would have done. They were not on-site 24 hours, but very helpful to our every request. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Review 54：nothing too bad to complain. The place of house is not easy to find but Manarola is not big, if you can find a way without any stairs and climb with your heavy luggage, when you see the view, it is worth to do.
Review 55：The view of the place is wonderful. We can have a dinner on the roof with wonderful sunset, and also can have a breakfast in the morning with perfect peaceful. The house is one of the building in the famous view in Manarola. The bed is real big but not too soft for us, which is good.

Only one coffee cup for 3 people, no electric jug in the kitchenette, difficult to get access to the communal balcony area, freezer in mini fridge totally iced up and unusable, no aircon. Extra folding bed in room uncomfortable for an adult. Broken toilet seat. Poor communcation with staff.

Review 58：A key factor is the communication with the hotel staff: make sure you let them know about your arrival time and make sure you have all the required info (room, intercom etc.). After 3pm it is impossible to reach them. We had to wait 45' outside the building because they forgot to tell us the intercom code and they didn't bother answering the phone despite the fact that they were aware about our time of arrival.

Review 72：The ceiling light in room when on was blinking both days we were there. It was looked at on our last day after the owner was emailed. No hairdryer in bathroom but it was replaced the next morning by the housekeeper. Towels and sheets are changed once every 7 days, which means if you needed more towels it was not attended to.
Review 73：Arpaiu's location in Manarola is fantastic. The view is awesome from the room, sun deck and anywhere really, and along the trail path. The sea is deep blue and the sunset is beautiful. It is accessible to shops and the other 4 Terre along the Ligurian sea by train & hiking. Locals are friendly, the trattorias serve really good food, pasta, seafood, pastries and espresso, wine and liqueur. The hills grow herbs, lemons, veggies etc. and Cinque Terre is known for their basil and pesto pasta. All in all it was a relaxing, awesome vacation and we will return again.

Review 75：the sea view is absolutely perfect! I could hear the sound of wave on the bed and in the middle of the night I woke up to see the moon and its light reflected on the sea. It happens in the dream but I was really experiencing it! even better sky view on the roof top balcony and I can see all the stars! No complain at all!
