Reviews for Amorita Resort

Review 1:Non availability of veg food options is the only problem.

Review 2:Location is just perfect, staff is very very courteous, airport pick and drop facility was always on time.

Review 3:The food service was a bit slow when the restaurant is full. The menu is a bit limited if you are staying for more than three or four days.

Review 4:The staff was excellent, very helpful and really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Room service was excellent.

Review 5:The beach itself is not private and while this was not a problem a couple of years ago, it is now becoming too crowded and noisy (too many commercial activities going on, disrupting the peace and beauty). The huge hotel just opened next door certainly didn't help as it was blasting loud dance music and adding even more crowd to the stretch of shared beach. The beach is fast turning into another Kuta or Phuket... which is all so sad :(

Review 6:Probably the only place you'd want to stay in Bohol/Panglao (assuming it's within your budget). The resort is well designed, simple but effective, without all the unneccesary frivolous. The location is almost perfect, next to the white sandy beach Alona. The staff & service are of high standards. The facilities are well maintained... life is good!

Review 7:Being put on 3rd floor with no elevator when we have young baby. No step free access to restaurants or beach which is not convenient with a stroller

Review 8:Room excellent. Quiet well kept landscaping. Quality of food. Smiling team.

Review 9:I love everything in this resort; the room, the surroundings, the pools, the food, everything is awesome! Oh, and I love their brownies in the room. I would definitely love to go back for personal leisure.

Review 10:I didn't like the insects that could get easily in the rooms. too many different ones everyday Not nice to have a shower and find one of those disgusting things on the floor.

Review 11:The situacion, confort and swiming pools of the hotel are great. The atmosphere is 100% relax.

Review 12:The food is expensive and they don´t tell you taxes are not included when doing the booking so you only know the total price for your stay while doing the check out.

Review 13:The location is great, just on top of Alona beach. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Pools and garden amazing.

Review 14:I love everything about Amorita. It's a secluded resort that gives enough privacy to all the guests. Staff, amenities, & rooms are awesome. Alona beach is just a meter away.

Review 15:Must improve on room cleaning, windows cleaning, must renovate older part of hotel asap or close those old rooms

Review 16:Superb location, top restaurant on island, super friendly staff, great pool, my wife and i will go back

Review 17:I was talking to a staff over the phone at the reception and he wasn't very helpful. He didn't suggest anything to help us with the problem (although minor). He was flat.

Review 18:The location is perfect and the rooms are always cleaned. The staff are accommodating especially Prime and Neera. Good Job!!!

Review 19:They are to strick, they always control the People who is going up anddown. We even ask a permission if its possible to bring along my 2nieces to go swimming with our Children coz they are loging with myParent along Alona Beach coz my father can no longer go up and down tothe Hill.We anyway have to consume. They say yes but its was excemptionaccording to the Management.Secondly we booked for one Double roomwith to Children then we have to pay an additional 2,000pesos per daycoz my Daughter is 17.To pay additional for Breakfast is okey but2,000 is too much.

Review 20:The workers are very Friendly especially Mr.Rob from the Restaurant

Review 21:Menu variety Entertainment band More kids activities

Review 22:The staff is friendly and smiling all the time. Food was ok they might look for more variety in their menu. Overall it was a great experience and definitely we will recommend it for others.

Review 23:Weak wifi connection. Lack of privacy for the ocean view villa as other guests can walk by the "private" garden and jacuzzi area.

Review 24:Well located, great pools and additional services as tours. Great service from staff. The hotel is all they promise

Review 25:Although I requested an airport pick-up on b.com the hotel failed to arrange and we found a taxi in the rain. The blinds/curtains in the villa were unacceptably in dirty condition and stained, this really created a poor impression considering the rate and type of room booked. I also did not appreciate having to wait until the room is checked before being allowed to leave - very 3 star standard.

Review 26:Nice location although there is no clean private beach area for the hotel. The hotel is generally in good condition. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 27:1. Manila liason staff comms were not reassuring. Misty, took over role of Kat Manabat had left abruptly and unable to endorse details properly. I had to call a few times ro make sure my family and I will be picked up at the airport 2. Wifi at the Ocean Voew Villa didnt work 3. Front desk staff had challenges with billing computation, unable to put in all details post my payment. I had to communicate post the trip and review the charges, and potentially pay separately - its such inconvenience 2.

Review 28:Service of Bohol staff were exceptionally personal. Saffron Restaurant Elvie and driver Benjie did a great job.

Review 29:No or very limit wifi in the bedrooms. Wifi to the 2 public areas were working 80% of the time. Not ideal, but I could cope as I had to be connect with my office.

Review 30:The staff were out of this world, the sea view rooms were excellent, the public beach was vibrant with lots of activities.

Review 31:We booked a room here. Expecting modern and well lit rooms. When we got to the place it was a totally different area compared to the photos they showed for the deluxe rooms. The room was old and kinda dirty. The shower drain emitted a stench from the sewer. The price was bad also compared to the brand new Hennan hotel next door which had rooms at 5k. Poor wifi also

Review 32:The view and pools were excellent. Breakfast was good. Free paddleboarding and kayak.

Review 33:Take out cups for Happy Hour cocktail were cheap small plastic cups. Lack of selection for dinner buffet.

Review 34:Beautiful restaurant, pool. Peaceful place. Good breakfast buffet.

Review 35:No negative experiences.

Review 36:Staff always eager to please. Our villa room was beautiful; exactly as pictured and described on website. Quiet location with easy access to beach and all the bars.

Review 37:Poor wifi reception. Did not work at all the whole time we stayed there. Breakfast buffet was average.

Review 38:Matured landscaping and secluded hideout which me and my wife was looking for.

Review 39:Everything was good, but the wifi wasn't good at all. Could be difficult if you were planning to do work while at the hotel. Amorita has a nice small fitness center, but it isn't advertised very well.

Review 40:The staff was very friendly! We were greeted by every single staff member when passing by. The extra activities were nice, we went kayaking and snorkling and had friendly guides from the hotel. Nice location right off the beach and easy to get to good places to eat and drink.

Review 41:Food was just ok.

Review 42:The location is amazingly beautiful. It's on a cliff which gives you a great view of the beach. We stayed in a garden villa, which we highly recommend for couples, it's worth the money. The resort offer a free outdoor yoga class when we were there. It's perfect way to start the day. They have a great service, one time they gave us popsicles while we were lounging by the pool. You also have the option to stroll on Alona beach if you want to socialize and not just stay in one place.

Review 43:Wi-fi was horrible! Itinerary and hotel policies were not provided, and the staff would not inform you of their available services such as snorkeling, kayaking etc. unless you ask. We could have enjoyed these if we've been properly informed; we only found out when were checking out. The restaurant menu could use some improvement with their choices and range.

Review 44:Great resort! The facilities and amenities are good. Staff are accommodating enough.

Review 45:I checked in about 1pm, room should be ready at 2pm, but i wait one more hour for room, they put me in a building did not even finish construct (later i find out that room is not finished yet, so many things was missing )! looks like i'm the only one live in the building, first night is ok, but in the moring 7am, they start working and i was wake up by the terrible noise. that night, over 10 pm, i was already in bed, someone opened my door by key(did not knock the door and the door don't even have the safe lock inside!!!), it was so scary, i was alone there, how can a 5 star hotel let that happen, that guy said he was from housekeeping, he carried a bag which not belongs to me, who knows is true or not! anf next day i was awake by noice again, and i called reception 3 times ask them stop the noice, not working, i went to the reception asked the manager do something, and the solution was change to another building. they gave me a bottle of wine for free, but it already get bad, and sadly, the new room is on top of spa room which is not finish too, so everyday i was suffering the terrible noice. the time i went was the most expensive and busy time, i paid about 2000 USD for 6 night, i really unhappy with what happened, i can not believe i spend the money from really hard work (one day off every week, last month did have day off) on that experience!!!

Review 46:location is good

Review 47:disaster from beginning. pickup van left us at ferry terminal check in was a shambles beds not queen as per booking no balcony no wifi phone almost unusable broken plug in hand basin only consolation was the manager was required to intervene when no results from staff. attention to detail is important. especially rated as 5 star. this would not rate 3 star for me. overrated

Review 48:great location

Review 49:+ Alona beach is totally overrated. If you want a true beach vacation go to Boracay not to Bohol. Food stalls/restaurants on the beach were so-so.

Review 50:+ Hotel location on a cliff at one end of Alona beach with a beautiful sea view from the restaurant and the infinity pool. Pool and hotel definitely compensate the way below average Alona beach + Friendly, cordial and attentive staff in particular in the restaurant and pool areas. Service oriented. They were very kind and friendly with my two young girls. + Good value for money especially with young kids

Review 51:Ridiculously overpriced. Around Ukp160 per night for an average hotel is way above the regional average. Their pictures give a false impression. In practice, the hotel is small and soulless. The beach by the hotel is untidy and full of seaweed. Surely, some of my room charge could be put to tidying the beach area. Rooms were uninspiring if ok but not at ukp160 per night.

Review 52:Nice beach and just enough life at night to make it enjoyable. The food in their restaurant was good. Staff were friendly.

Review 53:The only thing we would hope the resort management can do is try to work towards eco tourism. We were disappointed by the amount of rubbish, plastic bottles and bags floating in the water or on the beach. We were attracted to Alona beach for the snorkelling on the reef but were very disappointed to see the amount of destruction of coral by boat anchors and local people/ tourist. We really encourage you to try to manage the reed and try to start to repair the damage and protect what is left, it is the reason we will not be returning and why we would suggest if our friends want a snorkelling opportunity to go elsewhere.

Review 54:we found the staff so friendly they really improved our overall stay. It is a very comfortable resort with beautiful garden surrounds and the local village is pleasant. There is lots to see to keep us busy on Bohol. The manager is so committed to making clients feel welcome and looking after our comfort. We would recommend your resort

Review 55:Great food and beautiful grounds.

Review 56:Hot water temperature Water pressure

Review 57:Friendly staff Foods Location Amenities

Review 58:wifi in the room is not stable

Review 59:awesome stay

Review 60:the place was breathtakingly beautiful

Review 61:Wifi was not available during 2 days

Review 62:Very quiet, safe and peaceful resort, just at the end of the Alone beach. There you could enjoy evening life - restaurants, bar and other sellers.

Review 63:The wifi is only usable in the reception area

Review 64:Staff are very helpful, very attentive

Review 65:Shower pressure and temp were patchy , wifi was weak and inconsistent . Window coverings need replacing . No hooks in the bathroom at all!

Review 66:Location is great secluded but convenient with amazing views. The room size was very spacious and comfortable and the amenities were adequate.

Review 67:We had to recall staff to clean the surfaces.

Review 68:Beautiful beach so close. Views are excellent. Food was excellent - well presented and fairly priced. Rooms very well equipped.

Review 69:We had to ask the staff from the Front Desk to restart the router of the internet in the room because it was either too slow or it did not connect to the internet.

Review 70:I like the hand-written notes together with the local sweets brought to my room on a nightly basis.

Review 71:Room 201 was very noisy (sleepless nights) from aircon and water truck at 2am. Shower is not great not enough water. Dangerous walkway to the beach.

Review 72:Right on the beach with nice views, small but nice pool, very friendly staff, very close to restaurants and bars.

Review 73:We stayed in a garden view room, which was very modest, but clean and comfortable.

Review 74:Very romantic setting on the cliff, overlooking the ocean. Excellent and accommodating staff. Beautiful pool and garden set up for relaxing days. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent, with a variety of foods to choose from. Very gourmet! Loved this resort, it really made our trip.

Review 75:Intermittent Wi-fi connection.

Review 76:Excellent services and the staff was very pleasant and efficient!

Review 77:Hotel Staff / facility is close to perfection

Review 78:None

Review 79:Room drops and farewell sweets, helpful and friendly staff, perfect view of the beach
