Reviews for UNA Palazzo Mannaioni
Review 1:Montaione is maybe not the nicest village in the area.
Review 2:Very nice staff, gave us good tips. Hôtel nice, room very big and clean. Excellent worth for Money.
Review 3:The lift was not very clean. Some maintenance details in the rooms could be improved, but in general all good!!!
Review 4:The staff was veered kind and helpful. It is lovely to be welcome like that. The hotel is quiet and in a beautiful Tuscany house. It was great to have the opportunity to chose our own room. I found great sitting outside in the garden/swimming pool with a last cup of coffee after breakfast.
Review 5:Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room (but that is common throughout Italy).
Review 6:General location. Lack of other tourists in the town. Relaxed atmosphere in Hotel. Comfort of room. Swimming pool. Good restaurants within close proximity.
Review 7:The air conditioning could have had more power, so it was a bit warm at night.
Review 8:Although it took some effort to get to the hotel, it was well worth it. The facility was fantastic, the staff was great and the atmosphere in the town was just want you would expect from a small Tuscan hilltop village. Convenient to Pisa and Florence - within an hour.
Review 9:nothing
Review 10:The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived very late but the table was set for us in the bar area and we got a wonderful spread of breads and cold cuts. The manager Caterina was very friendly and helpful with our every request. We felt very mush at home
Review 11:On arrival, no place to safely unload luggage & mountainous steep steps to reception, no porters to assist. Pigeon activity all day long at the pool with resulting deposits in the pool. Inadequate air conditioning in room on top floors. Poor lighting in bathrooms. Poolside bar abandoned & had to visit main reception for service. Sun beds at poolside were well past their best. Garden area beside pool badly neglected & unkempt & no shade for outdoor dining. The area at the side of the pool is a busy walkway between old part of hotel & the new annex, constantly in use, disturbing the rest & relaxation you are meant to enjoy on holiday.
Review 12:This place has a lot of potential but there are a number of serious issues that need to be addressed by senior management.
Review 13:The only minor criticism is that the hot part of the breakfast buffet was not hot (no one could reccomend cold scrambled eggs) but the other items on offer were of good quality and copious. The dining room is impressive but a bit over elaborate in trying to appear quasi-medieval. Not a room that we felt comfortable in.
Review 14:The hotel is an old town residence of a wealthy family, and the older part is delightfully maintained with beamed ceilings and ancient glass in the windows from which the views are stunning; in fact it is absolutely delightful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely appointed with steaming hot water. The position of the hotel is very central to the medieval part of town which is very interesting to walk around.
Review 15:Restraunt closed for two night we were there. But other restraunts were very good.
Review 16:Restored Monistory Amazing interiors. Lovely intermate pool area Gorgeous rooms / spacious.
Review 17:The location is in the middle of montaione not very charming and it does not even say on the website. Pictures are very overrated on the website. The real thing is defiantly not what was on the pictures.
Review 18:The staff at reception I think it was he gm was very accommodating and nice. He showed us three bedrooms before we made our choice.
Review 19:Dirty bathtub on arrival Someone's eye drops in the bar fridge Gardens needed lots of attention
Review 20:Staff were some of the best we've dealt with on our international travels Location Restaurant
Review 21:Noisy bathroom fan.
Review 22:Charming staff, very comfortable room with terrific views, delicious breakfast.
Review 23:JUST SORRY I DIDN'T TAKE MY SWIMMING COSTUME!
Review 24:EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE HELPFUL STAFF
Review 25:I loved the location and the building had character.I enjoyed exploring the village.
Review 26:They charge to park your car
Review 27:Beautiful room
Review 28:We had to request a new wifi password every day. Staff did not tell us this at checkin and we wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what the problem was. Since your wifi is not a secure site requiring a new password every day is very inconvenient.
Review 29:Front desk staff was very cheerful and helpful in every way.
Review 30:Internet was 3 Euro for 30 minutes and worked best in the lobby. They should just make it complimentary. It took a couple circles of the area streets to find the hotel entrance...recommend you Google it and print an aerial view so you can navigate to the hotel. We found it but glad it was still daylight.
Review 31:We very much enjoyed the Una Palazzo during our 3 night stay in late September. We had a Junior Suite in the older original hotel which had a balcony overlooking the pool and Tuscan countryside. Our room was ample space, decor somewhat dated but you don't come to Tuscany to sit in the room. Our room was a very high ceiling with a staircase up to the patio door. Rustic timbers for ceiling and tile floors were fitting with the stone fortress construction of the villa. Bathroom was a shower with sufficient space, just average. All was kept very clean, bed was great, linens and towels very nice. The staff was wonderful and very helpful during our three day stay. Always available to give directions to neighboring towns, recommend a restaurant, or arrange a tour. Vincenzo at the front desk booked a winery tour of Via Pillo for us and we had a great afternoon. When my wife expressed interest in a leather purse on display in the hotel he made some calls, and made it his mission to get an answer. He located the Tuscans leather factory outlet for us to visit on our drive back to Pisa ...where my wife was thrilled with 3 purses she selected.Breakfast buffet was good, with good pastry, fruit, scrambled eggs and according to my wife excellent American coffee. Staff was constantly replenishing the buffet and it never looked picked over. Breakfast room was very pleasant and a good start to the day.The outdoor pool is an attractive area to relax after a morning of sightseeing. Great sun from 11 am to sunset. Pool is not heated, so water was very cool in late September but refreshing. Pool closes at end of September. If you have a car, the garage was very convenient at 9 Euros per day and I would recommend it. Otherwise there is free parking in some near by areas but navigating the narrow streets to find a parking spot can be a challenge, especially after a day of driving the Tuscan roads.
Review 32:A bunch of pigeons were constantly flying between a nearby rooftop andthe pool edge in a corner of the pool of the hotel. Personally Irather not have pigeons in the neighborhood of a swimming pool and Ithink this is something the hotel should do something about (assumingit is a returning problem). The general cleanliness of the hotel isvery good I must say.
Review 33:Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff and a very good (but somewhatexpensive) restaurant. Very nice rooms in the modern part of the hotel.
Review 34:The price of the restaurant food was expensive and too fancy for what we needed. The hair dryer was very dated.
Review 35:The location was great and the decor of the hotel was beautiful. The size of the room was sufficient for a family of 4. The staff for very friendly and obliging. The pool was very convenient for us in the afternoons after our day trips.
Review 36:Very little to do in town, quiet location. Great for some, notfor others.
Review 37:Quiet little hilltop town with parking. Staff are great and veryhelpful. Possibly a little expensive but the hotel is of a high quality.Underground parking used to be free, now is 9 euro...
Review 38:Air Conditioning is controlled by Reception and overrides what you do in your room. Older castle rooms don't have proper AC.
Review 39:Staff were very friendly!
Review 40:The internet is very expensive (3 euro / 30 min) and the parking, too, although you can park in front of the hotel and with no money. We've stayed in Tuscany in several 4**** hotels during our holiday, but this was the first one where we had to pay for the internet...
Review 41:A nice hotel, but not something spectacular, maybe because we had a classic double room and this was not as we expected in the pictures. Very friendly staff, attentive, and a nice lounge area.
Review 42:Breakfast buffet limited, bathroom dated and no free wifi.
Review 43:Friendly staff, good location.
Review 44:Breakfast extremely poor. Bad coffee, ugly ham, dry schrammend eggs, cold atmosphäre in the breakfast room
Review 45:Nice Roms, Friends receipt
Review 46:Nice, cosy hotel with very friendly staff, well air-conditioned which was great in Tuscany weather.
