Set in the main square of the hilltop village of Civitella in Val Di Chiana, the Boccatorta offers self-catering studios with air conditioning and satellite flat-screen TV.
On the ground floor the owners have a bar with tables and chairs in the square, serving ice cream, warm croissants and evening drinks.
The studios of the Boccatorta are accessed with a key card and are equipped with parquet floors. Some studios are on 2 levels, with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings. You have free use of the communal lounge with piano.
Outside the village walls you can catch a bus to Monte San Savino. The nearest train station is in Arezzo.

Review 2：Boccatorta is in the beautiful town/village of 'Civitella in Val di Chiana', which overlooks a hilly view towards Siena and panoramic view towards Cortona and Lake Tresimeno. The room was very well equipped, particularly with A/C. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and nice. The highlight was the town, the atmosphere and the hosts. It's a beautiful Tuscan town and the hosts have a great bar/gelateria downstairs, and the hosts were very friendly, sharing a few late night drinks.

Review 3：We choose this place (for staying 4 nights ) because of the good scoreit got-but it was such a disappointment!!!!The name of the street is not in the gps so it took us an hour to find it as Civittela is a tiny place and there is no one to ask. Alessia-the owner- mailed us the day before we came and asked us what time we are going to arrive but didnt say anything about finding the place although she knew that it is not in the gps. The 4 days we were there she was there for just an hour in one morning. I needed an hairdryer and left her a note but it stayed there till we checked out. We tried to call her many times ,I sent a mail-but no respond. The room was never cleaned in 4 days and was not very clean from the start.. We are visiting Italy every year and we never had such a bad experience!!!

Review 7：This place deserves 20/10. It is just wonderful, the studio we stayed in was in pristine condition, lovely fireplace with wood provided, beautiful décoration, immaculate bahtroom...... The hostess was most helpful and kind. Boccatorta is THE place to be.

Review 12：We were met very warmly.The rooms were clean,nice and spacious. We felt comfortable with two kids inside. We were pleasantly surprised of the hotel location - on the top of the mountain peak near to ancient fortress, from where the view was breathtaking. This is the right place if you want to feel the spirit of Toscana.

Review 13：Poor parking instructions ( the address is pedestrianised); when approaching the town take the right at the Y and head into town past the no driving sign rather than parking below. Here, you can park short term to check in and unload your bags. It is permitted.
