Reviews for Acla Apartments

Review 1:To be honest, because I was unlucky with the weather, what I was paying for with this apartment was the amazing large terrace, but I couldn't use it. So, if you are here in the cooler months, you could do better accommodation-wise, as what you are paying for here is the large terrace and view. The apartment is VERY small and basically furnished. The mattress a bit squishy. The bathroom tiny with nowhere to put anything (I used the kitchen counter to put my toiletries). No towel rail to hang a wet towel or dry anything. In the summer, so what? But for me, it was a hindrance because of rainy weather. For summer, you could not do better, but for cooler months. personally? I'd go to a hotel in Monterosso (which is a LOVELY town, so much prettier than I had been led to believe).

Review 2:The location was perfect with an amazing view right onto the water. The heating in the apartment worked well, which was great as it was raining and my clothes and sneakers were soaked. (Would have been good idea to have a heated towel rail). Internet and wifi worked really well. The place a stone's throw from restaurants etc. In my opinion, Manarola is the prettiest village in the Cinque Terre. More picturesque than Vernazza. AMAZING walk from Vernazza to Corniglia, where you get to see the two villages and sea from above. Prettier than the red walk I did from Manarola over the hill to Corniglia as you saw less coast. Emanuela, the owner, was very friendly and kind. This would be a great place to stay in summer.

Review 3:The room was a little cramped! We had very little room but for the length of time we actually spent in the room it wasn't that much of a problem!

Review 4:The location was perfect! The view was out of this world!

Review 5:Laundry facilities would have been nice. But there was a balcony clothes line available for hand wash items.

Review 6:Really appreciated Emmanuelle contact before arrival to arrange meeting place and her being at agreed spot when we arrived. Wonderful place and great location

Review 7:Only small down fall was no A/C, but it didn't help that we were there at the hottest time. An extra fan is all we would nave needed.

Review 8:The views were amazing. We could not have asked for or imagined anything better. Meeting the owner was easy and she was so helpful. We were a little worried about it being cash only, but there was nothing to worry about and totally worth it !!

Review 9:the facilities of the apartment are too simple, but they are enough for a short-time trip.

Review 10:the location of the apartment is very nice with a wonderful sea view.

Review 11:The bed wasn't very comfortable for my back but my boyfriend slept fine and it wasn't so much of a problem for him.

Review 12:The lady who was in charge of the apartment was so nice. The cash machine in the town wasn't working so we couldn't pay on arrival, She was very understanding and allowed us to pay at the end of our stay. The apartment was in manarola square very close to the shops and restaurants and also 500m to the sea. Cutest little traditional Italian apartment with a sea view. Definitely recommend staying here!

Review 13:The town is very small . Very little choices to eat or buy groceries. The unit is very small. The bed is a mattress on a platform, no headboard. It is not very comfortable. There is a daybed in the living room that is very uncomfortable to sit on while relaxing or watching tv. It is noisy with the train rumbling through town and the noise of constant tourist on the square.

Review 14:The unit was very clean and everything has been updated. Thanks for the complimentary coffee and tea. I enjoyed the balcony and the cats that live outside. The view is of the square and the town , with the sea far in the distance.

Review 15:Facing the sea, which is a very unforgettable experience. Fully equipped kitchen. Two big terraces, but we didn't stay there much because of the bad weather. I believe here would be a very good choice for summer trip. The pictures of inside are of another apartment, different from where we stayed.

Review 16:The climb is no mean feat. My advice is to pack light.

Review 17:What greeted us after an arduous climb of stairs is a room with the most picturesque view of Manarola coast. It is, by far, a room with the best view I stayed in Italy.

Review 18:nothing.

Review 19:this is the best location anyone could wish for. the landlady is great, the apartment lovely, the view magnificent, the sound of the sea while lying in bed, is so special and gives one the real holiday feeling.

Review 20:-very compact room -even smaller bathroom -construction nearby

Review 21:-Fantastically friendly and met me at the end of the tunnel once I arrived on the train and even helped me with my heavy luggage the entire trip to the apartment -Unbeatable view on private terrace -Extremely clean -Strong wifi

Review 22:The ONLY negative was that the wifi worked sketchy at best. It was available but slow and occasionally didn't work. However, we spent most of the day out of the apartment so it wasn't that big of a deal. If you need really strong connection there was a pizza place down the street with wifi we used.

Review 23:Manuela was super helpful when we arrived. She provides you with loads of tourist information to help you plan your activities. The location is splendid. We got the apartment next to the train station and we still had a great view of the town and ocean plus two balconies for the split level apartment. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies so we were able to cook breakfast plus there's an espresso machine. After hiking to each village, I can say with confidence that Manarola was the best town to stay in! Definitely reccomend this place for a stay in the Cinque de Terre.

Review 24:Loved everything about the apartment. The terrace is right on the piazza and 30 seconds from the train tunnel. The steps in the apartment are step but a door available on both levels. The bathroom is only on the lower level so elderly might not like. We just loved our apartment and stay in Manarola, great mini vacation!!!!

Review 25:Honestly, I can't think of a thing. The steep climb up to the second floor access to the apartment, with heavy luggage, is a bit taxing, but certainly not impossible!

Review 26:This small two-level cozy apartment, with its tiny well equipped kitchen was immaculately clean, bright and comfortable. Best of all was the stunning view of the cliffside homes and the sea off in the distance, from the second floor balcony, especially at night with a soft sea breeze and the warm glow of lights coming on in the cliffside houses. A glass of Cinque Terre wine, a chunk of pecorina cheese, fresh tomatoes, and olive oil from the local shops, and life seems wonderful. I cannot recommend this location enough. It's a 2 minute walk from the train station and a 2 minute walk to the sea and all available walking trails, one minute to at least half a dozen great eating places. Perfect for my three night stay, and the price was right! Cheers! A perfect 10 for my liking!

Review 27:Have to carry the suitcase to the 2or 3 floor and the stairs are narrow.

Review 28:Good location near the train station and seaside, the room is clean with kitchen and necessary sauces. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Review 29:Rubbish pillows as usual for the continent.

Review 30:3 balconies/terraces all to ourselves made the stay. Basic apartment but more than adequate. Would liked to have stayed longer.

Review 31:Nothing.

Review 32:Location: Manarola is a bit less full-on than some other towns, and the apartment is very handy for trains and buses, so you can easily travel to other places for walks etc. (And when you get back from elsewhere, you don't have far to walk from the train!) View: described as a partial sea veiw, it's still lovely - the old houses climbing the hill to the left, and the sky and sea central, with the light always changing

Review 33:Nothing-everything was great

Review 34:Location Owner so welcoming Close to swimming, restaurants, transport Great opportunity to do Cinque Terre walks Ability to do own cooking

Review 35:The toilet is a bit small

Review 36:The view from terrace is absolutely stunning, the location is great. We enjoy our dinner at the big terrace, that was so romantic!

Review 37:Airconditioning was not working efficiently and required tweaking to work.

Review 38:The apartment was in the unique village of Manarola close to the train station, restaurants and walking trails. Our host Emanuela was very helpful and attentive. Our apartment was towards the upper section of the village and had limited views. We seek out this type of accommodation rather than the resort style and so was as expected.

Review 39:The lady that runs and owns the property is a gem

Review 40:The panoramic view from this apartment was amazing. Also, it was newly renovated and very contemporary and comfortable.

Review 41:Perfect location. Seawiew is wonderful. Owner is kind and very helpful.

Review 42:Was a little hot sleeping

Review 43:Easy to get there and amazing views.

Review 44:WiFi was very slow.

Review 45:Easy to get a hold of owner and very clean and comfortable apartment.

Review 46:location,perfect view

Review 47:The view Friendliness Situation

Review 48:Credit card should be accepted! It waa not easy to reach the owner.

Review 49:Good location at the center of town.

Review 50:The huge balcony and the excellent view

Review 51:The location of the apartment is excellent. By far the best view in Manarola which you can find.

Review 52:The location: amazing view, dinner and breakfast on the terace, the intimacy

Review 53:Wifi didn't work.

Review 54:Great view - not so much of the sea, but if the town.

Review 55:The view was the highlight of the apartment. We were so lucky to be able to get the room with ocean view. I couldn't get enough of the view!!

Review 56:best location in Manarola. the sea view is amazing.

Review 57:The view for both hiking and train to the other four cities in Quinke Terre was exelent. The apartemente whas verry charming, and the hostes was so sweet and helpfull. Aclapartement is higly recomended Rune and Hege

Review 58:This was the most amazing place we stayed for our entire trip. Emanuela was AMAZING and so friendly/helpful. She upgraded us to the apartment that had THREE private terraces/verandas and we had epic views of the Mediterranean. We loved it here.

Review 59:Nothing!

Review 60:Emanuela, the owner, was very accommodating meeting us when we arrived via the train in Manarola. The apartment was lovely and clean, and had incredible views of the coast! The apartment was well furnished, particularly the kitchen, although the bathroom is a little small. In terms of location it does not get any better than this. Waking up every morning to a view of the ocean, enjoying lunch on the rooftop terrace - these moments made our honeymoon perfect!

Review 61:Emanuela was very efficient and communication was very good, even though we have no Italian language skills. I'd done research and concluded Manarola was the best village of the bunch, and this proved to be correct. She has a variety of accomodation choices and I'd definitely recommend her. John B.

Review 62:Nothing

Review 63:A well located apartment with a breathtaking view. The exclusive rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning and Emanuela cannot be a more accommodating host. The apartment is within minutes walk from both the train station and ferry pier and a few stones throw away from the town centre. Although Manarola is not a big town, we enjoyed the restaurants and the view the apartment has to offer. It also comes with a kitchen and cooking utensils if you fancy having a meal with a view. Emanuela met us at the end of the tunnel as you disembark the train at Manarola to take us to the apartment and was very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend this studio apartment and would definitely come back to stay!

Review 64:There could be more water pressure in the shower.

Review 65:The flat had *the* best view from Manarola. Nothing is in the way, it just overlooks the ocean. Emanuela and her son were so friendly and helpful

Review 66:There is nothing we didn't like

Review 67:The owner met us at the station! She was friendly, spoke English well and was very helpful. The accomodation had the best view, a huge terrace with a view of the sunset and the harbour and most of Manarola and everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked! We had a fabulous visit to Manarola and would definitely stay in this accomodation again.

Review 68:Everything in Manarola is a bit of a hike uphill so there were a number of stairs to ascend to get to the apartment. This could prove difficult for those who are traveling with suitcases, it was fine for us since we were only traveling with backpacks.

Review 69:The location is hard to beat in Manarola with an amazing view from the cliff which the apartment is built into of the sea. The patio and balconies from the split view apartment were really nice. The kitchen had most everything needed with the exception of a microwave but that is a very small convenience. The location of the apartment to the sea and also the hiking trails was amazing.

Review 70:the location is perfect. It has a fantastic view of the ocean. The balconies are just perfect. We were met at the end of the tunnel from the train station by her daughter , who was very welcoming and friendly. There are restaurants close by. The apartment was spotless. I would recommend this to a friend or stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to come back.

Review 71:Locks didn't work well and we had to sleep almost with open doors. Also we didn't have any hot water after 20 mins of using the shower and had to wait to get more

Review 72:The apartmants are really nice, clean and have the great location! 3 minutes from the station by walk! We didn't have any problems with a meeting with a host, and she is very friendly :) The window view is awesome too, and I would recommend everyone to stay at that place.

Review 73:Loved, loved, loved the view. The apartment is right next to a bunch of restaurants in Manarola. The perfect place for a Cinque Terra evening. The owners were also incredibly nice. Also, fast wifi!

Review 74:The bathroom was very small, in particular the shower.

Review 75:Fabulous sea views from the apartment! Was in a good location close to the amenities of the town.

Review 76:Incredible location and view. Right on the coast with a deck overlooking the ocean. You can't beat the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they recommended a few excellent restaurants in town. We loved our stay here.

Review 77:The location is great, it is facing the ocean and the walking hill. You will need to climb up from the bottom to the top (it was a little diffcult, but the view is worth). The owner is very nice, but you better contact her before your arrival. There has a little kitchen, you can cook there.

Review 78:A little bit cold, got some stairs to climb. Some unknown cats around at night time.

Review 79:We stayed near the train station, although got some noise, but better for us because we had big luggages. A very close walk to the scenery. Apartment was clean and comfortable.

Review 80:The apartment is directly on the cliffs overlooking the sea. Beautiful!! Our personal balcony was about 4 times the size of our room and provided amazing views of Manarola and the sea. Emanuella was very gracious. She met us at the tunnel coming out of the train station and helped get our luggage to our room. She is so sweet and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Coffee is provided as well as a bottle of wine. We have discussed staying again next year for our entire vacation. Loved thus apartment and loved Manarola.

Review 81:Shower was slow to drain and no soap dish in shower. Those shower doors were difficult to figure out!

Review 82:Manuela was most helpful. Beds were very comfortable.

Review 83:our stay ended.

Review 84:Huge private balcony with a view that could never be matched. Easy walk up a narrow lane to the room right above the rocky shore. We had a great swim in the deep green blue waters.

Review 85:The furniture is very simple and old and not like a real apartment which you will expect.Plus the staircase leading to your apartment makes you feel very tired when you carry your suitcases.

Review 86:The apartment is quite near train station and with full kitchen facilities.

Review 87:We found it hard find the exact location of the apartment but a nearby restaurant very kindly made contact for us.

Review 88:The views were fantastic & location to station very near. The lady who gave us the key was more than helpfully & even let us into the studio apartment early!

Review 89:Room/apartment is small (but properly equipped). Might feel claustrophobic in period of prolonged poor weather.

Review 90:Excellent location with superb views from large balcony

Review 91:Stairwell was tight and hazardous if you were in a hury, No WiFi on premises for the apartment we had -- had to sit outside owner's apartment to get online.

Review 92:Space for 3, nice kitchen with the essentials for coffee/tea and light cooking, air conditioning w/ remotes, clothes lines for drying, balcony w/ chairs and small table

Review 93:In the beginning it was a little bit tricky to lock the door onthe upper floor, but after you figure out how to do it, it'snot a problem.

Review 94:The owner is really friendly and helpful. She did everything exactly asshe promised. The location is very good, in the center of the villagebut also very easy to reach from the train station (also very close tothe stores). The apartment was equipped with everything we needed andfor a couple there is plenty of space.

Review 95:We visited all towns in Cinque Terre and this is was our preference. This apartment is conveniently located a short distance away from the noisier pubs and restaurants. Nice partial sea views.

Review 96:Although it was high season, the price for the apartment at more than a €100 a night was a bit too steep. It was also a considerable distance from the car park, which made transporting luggage a bit tricky

Review 97:Excellent accommodation, landlady was very helpful and friendly. The apartment offered a partial view of the sea, but was within walking distance to the sea, and has a stairs which gives direct access to the mountains leading to a trail that will take you to the other villages.

Review 98:Not apartment related, but 3 (of the 4) coastal walks are now closed.

Review 99:A "typical" apartment in Manorola with lots of stairs! Smallbalcony but big enough to sit and watch the sunset over the piazza andthe village. Very close to the train station with easy access to theother villages. Emanuella is very friendly and helpful (and very strongin carrying bags up the stairs!)

Review 100:Noise from the square below. 9 to 10 year olds screaming and playingsoccer up to 11:00 at night. Washer and dryer were not working.

Review 101:Location was great as was the availability of a kitchen.Coffee providedwith a cute little European expresso maker. Great balcony and, bed, toiletres, hair dryer.

Review 102:Slightly expensive. Next day we found walk through a door place with sea view etc. for 70.

Review 103:Huge terrace overlooking the sea. We arrived late and owner Manuela met as and gifted us with a bottle of vine. It was amazing to have vine on the terrace after a long drive!

Review 104:The actual facilities are very dated and the washer/dryer was out of order, complicating my packing plan a little. A little money spent to update the apartment would go a very long way.

Review 105:Emanuela was very friendly and helpful with making dinner reservations and the location was hard to beat, considering we had a car and needed to unload luggage. Manarola was our favorite Cinque Terre village.

Review 106:expensive but can't see the sea.

Review 107:Clean room

Review 108:Very small inside

Review 109:Location, location location.

Review 110:pretty small bathroom.

Review 111:Perfect apartment with roof with post card sea view of Manarola.

Review 112:Very slow Internet connection

Review 113:Very good Location Friendly staff Good value for money

Review 114:Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice spacious apartment, well kept.

Review 115:Decoration, location, view, owner They helped me to carry my luggage from train station and the apartment to train when we back. Thank you.

Review 116:The best view you get here.

Review 117:The seaview is superb and it is valued for money. I shall return and stay here again in near future.

Review 118:you have to climb up to the apartment located on the hill, be prepared for the big luggage you may have.

Review 119:excellence sea view, good host

Review 120:Everything is perfect

Review 121:We loved having a balcony and the sunsets were spectacular.

Review 122:nothing

Review 123:great view on from the large balcony and just a short walk to the train station.
