Reviews for Ubud Hidden Villa
Review 1:Aircon useless as huge gaps by bathroom. Could not order any drinks inc cold beer, breakfast poor. Frogs v noisy. No decent tv chanels. Very very dirty outside bedroom full of stagnant water producing a breeding ground for mosquitos
Review 2:the basic set up
Review 3:Calm oasis just a 20 min walk from central Ubud. The villa was amazing and staff the most friendly (best experience in Bali :) ) All the help was provided whether you just needed advice or organize something. Definately would go hear again!
Review 4:Private , peaceful, not pretensions . It feels real and down to earth. The place was and is a work in progress. It sits as a triumph of people coming together and accomplishing something. Unlike the typical Bali 'foreign investor feel.
Review 5:They supposedly provide transportation services but they kept encouraging us to walk (which was a 3km walk to town) and when they do send you and you inform that you would like to be picked up back. Their phone is switched off or no one picks up the call when you call them back for pick up. Then you end up having to walk back.
Review 6:The villa and surroundings was very nice. The paddy fields right in front of the patio was fantastic!
Review 7:bad is relative: as we had gecko's in the house (which is good as they eat the insects) few made some quite big "poo" from the Roof that landed on the "luckily " closed luggage(a nice shirt would not have liked it ;-) ). Some may feel disturbed about the noise from the road...which is hearable but for us wasn't a problem...and made informed upfront about it. Indeed we slept best here (had 3 other locations before)
Review 8:The Staff was extreamly kind, helpfull and discrete. The room was spacious (Family House) with perfect beds ,aircon and good soundsystem. The site is small (3 houses) and private. The owner made is a very nice guy that helps where ever he can.
Review 9:Nothing. Everything wad perfect
Review 10:Everything wad amazing. We booked for 1 night and stayed 3 because we didn't wanted to leave this amazing private and cosy hotel. The staff is so helpful and friendly. There is nothing you have to ask for they already know before you know
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:The location is very good, the environment is very nice, the staff are very kind and friendly. Myself and family are unable to think of any other hotels for next trip to Ubud.
Review 13:It is quiet far form the downtown Ubud. We love to walk, but there you basically walk on the street in between cars and schooters for a good 20 minutes until you get to the first decent restaurant. No restaurant at the hotel, only breakfast is available. So if you need to get some snack in the evening be prepared to walk... Or take a car which they can call for you. Monkey forest is a good 30-35 mins walk It is also quiet pricy for Bali
Review 14:The hotel is hard to find, no wonder it's called a "Hidden Villa" :) You basically have to ask the driver to call the hotel ones you are close by so somebody from the personnel comes out. No parking are, basically it is hidden behind some shops. The area is lovely, surrounded by rice field. From what we understood the hotel consists of 3 villas only and we were the only ones out there during our stay. Ones we entered the villa we were pleasantly surprised. It is newly renovated, very clean and spacious. the bathroom has a nice jaccuzi and 2 sinks.
Review 15:Large comfortable room in a beautiful setting in amongst the rice paddy fields. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and help us out. The frogs croaking in chorus after the rain - really atmospheric
Review 16:Absolutely loved everything!
Review 17:All of the staff were kind friendly and attentive. They were keen to help all the time and even took us into the town on many occasions for free. They gave us lots of advice about what to do, all of which was great. All the staff were so lovely but the manager Made was the best manager I've ever experienced. They made you feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was beautiful...much more traditional than other places. The setting was calm and tranquil and I could have spent all day relaxing there. It was always cleaned perfectly and little added touches like flowers through the villa made it really special. The breakfast was delicious and really generous. You could choose from different western or balinese options. Location was great ... short walk into town so was quiet and chilled but near the handicraft village which was much cheaper than the center...we would have missed this otherwise. The short walk into town isn't a problem as if you don't want to walk Made will take you in With a smile. I could not recommend this more. I never write these reviews but I felt compelled to tell everyone how amazing it all is at this place. Don't miss it!
Review 18:shower and generally the bathroom; outdoor deck and furniture broken, dirty and unusable
Review 19:location; friendly staff; comfortable; sound system; breakfast and coffee; close to large supermarket; nice room design
Review 20:The king sized bed in our villa was two comfortable mattresses in a side by side arraignment. This left a ridge where they met that had a tendency to separate.
Review 21:The funky location. The helpful, happy staff. The ringing of the gong upon arrival & departure. The Villa was very 'homey' & comfortable. Romantic & private. Serene yet not silent.
Review 22:No English channels on television, loft could be a little hot, had a standup fan
Review 23:Great to sit on balcony to look over the rice paddies, own fish pond, welcome and goodbye every-time we left premises, quiet, good breakfast.
Review 24:Extra bed no mosquito net, bit far to walk to ubud center (but still can get walking)
Review 25:The spacious room, the breakfast, the nearby rice fields, very clean, very well decorated, attentive staff
Review 26:The walk in to town wasn't the most scenic, but that's a compromise to expect given all the bonus points!!
Review 27:Made was excellent- he fully understood what we were looking for during our time in Ubud and advised and accommodated us accordingly. The breakfast ( especially the coffee) was great!
Review 28:Can hear traffic noise at night and early morning. But we got used to it.
Review 29:The staff were extremely caring, polite and friendly.Very good breakfast. We were collected and dropped from the airport and even the trip to Lembongan was arranged through Made (manager). The location was great, within 15 min walk of Ubud main street, the paddy fields set a romantic mood, with fishes in the pond. We cancelled another hotel and returned back for the last 2 nights!!!
Review 30:Nothing!
Review 31:Location was amazing! It is set behind a row of shops, so even though it is close to amenities, it is very quiet. Beautiful accommodation and the staff are very attentive and helpful. Will definitely stay again!
Review 32:The staff are great The villa was amazingly set up The location was very handy, just walked into town It was peaceful I loved the photos in our room also Thank you, for having us Rachel-Nelson, New Zealand
Review 33:Very cosy, comfortable, spacious bungalows with nice view to a rice field from a wooden terrace. Short walk to the town centre. Helpful, friendly staff/management with a good sense of humour.
Review 34:Beautiful place, should be even better with a pool (coming soon!)
Review 35:a bit too far from where things happen a mosquito net would be nice
Review 36:friendly and helpful staff value for money
Review 37:I did not have any negative experiences.
Review 38:Privacy. Attentive staff. The feeling of evolution and transformation.
Review 39:everything was great.
Review 40:Rice paddy field right in front of door step. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Review 41:Road is nearby: many loud mopeds during night.
Review 42:Beautiful villa near rice field. With friendly staff.
Review 43:Friendly service. The view. The ducks, rice paddi, decor, pedicure on the verandah. The staff were happy to transport us for a good price.
Review 44:None
Review 45:Most pleasant staff I ve ever seen. design of villas is extremely beautiful and authentic !!
Review 46:1,Competent n very welcoming stuff. 2, great breakfast. 3, very clean room.
Review 47:No Autopark
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:It was a wonderful stay in the villa! A very good place with view to the ricefields The manager prepared for us a wonderful dinner in the garden in front of the ricefields, great!!!!
Review 50:a pool (as it gets humid) and english tv would be great. but theses are minor drawback compared to what you get for your money.
Review 51:What a gem of a place. Three modern, yet cozy and intimate villas within walking distance to the Ubud centre but tucked away overlooking a rice field. All the modern aminities, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable and very reasonably priced.. The quality of the place is only beaten by the welcoming staff and the service. The manager and his staff run such an efficient, operation and go well out of their way to make guests feel so at home and rather spoilt. I will certainly come back. Exceptional stay and the highlight of my stay in Ubud.
Review 52:Can be noisy at night cause of the animals, but well it's an ecolodge
Review 53:Excellent ambiance, typical ecolodge for flashpackers!
