Review 1：Excellent staff, very service-minded and overall friendly. Great facilities with indoor pool, spa, fitnessroom, playroom for the kids. Everything very fresh and clean. Breakfast was large and varied, felt luxurious. Dinner was perfectly fine but for more interesting options, go to Siracusa.

Review 5：Amazing staff, hotel, spa and surroundings. And the pool?! what can i say! Located in the countryside a little outside Ortigia, it is in a very peaceful location amongst working farms. A fantastic (free) shuttle service is provided at various times during the day to Ortigia, Archaeological park and Beach. This service is a MUST as a taxi to Ortigia will cost you roughly 20euro each time. We stayed in the 'new' part of hotel, very clean and modern. Air conditioning made the rooms very cool. Make sure and request 'old' part of hotel if you prefer something more traditional.

Review 8：Nothing really. Only thing that I would say, and it's not the hotels fault, is that the Shuttle bus takes a lot longer because of heavy traffic into Syracusa.

Review 11：Excellent staff and facilities will be superb once teething problems have been sorted. The new part of the hotel only opened one month ago and our room was in this part. great size and view of new large pool. Lovely restaurant with good choice for breakfast and excellent evening meals. We ate there all 3 nights, partly because it meant we could both have a drink but also it was very good value. Lavinia on reception and Gratziano in the restaurant were particularly helpful. The hotel is about 3 km outside Syracuse but it is easy to drive in to the city or there is a free shuttle from the hotel.

Review 12：We loved being in the country away from the bustle of a busy city. The staff couldn't do enough for us, always polite and very patient with our poor Italian. Shuttle service is terrific so even though you are in the country you do not need to have a rental car. This hotel is worthy of its good reviews.

Review 21：Spent 2 days there. - recommend 4 to allow trips to surrounding area and city. Not built up - looks out on to fields and easily accessible by car. Size perfect for level of care , attention to detail and friendliness. Pool area comfortable - geared more to small children - teenagers will prefer the beach. Shuttle arrangements to and from Syracuse and beach were brilliant idea, well organised and always punctual. Both no more than 10/15 mins away and late night taxi cost arranged by hotel no more than €15. Good beach club setup on raised platform with comfortable beds which was included in package - sandy beach nearby and sandy swimming area. Good snorkelling location. Tasty and good range in breakfast offering - fills you up for the day easily! Didn't do dinner but was impressive looking. Excellent modern gym - use early before too hot.

Restaurant staff were pleasant, informative and entertaining especially our German friend. Staff would enquire at dinner nd breakfast about our stay and nothing was a problem.

Review 37：Very peaceful environment with lots of activities for the kids - this was our kids favourite place in Italy - they loved the big pool and table tennis! Staff were really wonderful - outstanding service - very helpful and friendly.

Review 40：map and directions absolutely appalling and totally misleading. Site implied that the hotel was close to beach - didn't say that there was a courtesy bus to get there. We had so much difficulty finding it (we didn't have satnav) that the best part of the day was ruined. There was a mixup over my dinner order and I was offered no option other than to eat what I was given. (Dinner option had to be ordered two hours in advance.) We didn't see any jacussi - pictured on the website - only a small gym. A high hedge prevented any views from the ground level.

Review 43：a heavenly stay, a charming small hotel extremely quiet, in a great location. the staff was more than helpful. the shuttle service was perfect to go to the old town or to go to the hotel private beach. the restaurant served perfect local food,and breakfast had plenty of choice and was served on the terrace facing the pool. my room was spacious for one guest with a small balcony facing the country side. I spent a full week and a certainley do not regret it.

Review 44：Next time we will ask to be in one of the rooms with a balcony in the old part of the house. Our room smelt a bit damp because there was no fan or window in the bathroom.

Review 50：Well it would have been nice to have at least one English movie channel - I know we arent there to watch TV but we got stuck in a storm one day and it would have been nice to watch some movies - also after dinner its nice to wind down with a iittle TV. There were a lot of flies around so it made it hard to sit outside to eat breakfast - so maybe some kind of fly catcher could be made available. Also I think it would be nice if the staff wore nametags.

Review 51：We were very lucky to have been upgraded to a suite - it was furnished very beautifully and had a jacuzzi tub, which was awesome!! It also had a rooftop sitting area where you could sit and watch the sunset while having an aperitif - it was so calm and peaceful - we truly relaxed - The food was absolutely excellent - huge selection at breakfast which was included and also a good variety for dinner - we intended to venture out and explore other restaurants but the food was so good, we didnt and just ate all our dinners at the hotel. - reasonably priced too.

Review 52：The rooms where certainly not those of a 4/5 star hotel--small and cramped-very disappointing.There where flies all over the Al Fresco dining area, and indeed in the pool area--they where not only unhygenic but a bore--I can not believe that in those age they can not be eradicated !!
