Reviews for Grand Sarai Nafplio
Review 1:Although our room (101) was very nice, the only view was on to some rather derelict walls. We will book earlier next time and ask for a room with a view
Review 2:Decor throughout the hotel is wonderful - hotel has been very tastefully renovated. Outstanding breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Review 3:It is difficult to arrive with a car and a lot of luggage, also to depart under the same circumstances. Otherwise this hotel is perfect.
Review 4:It's not the most important thing to mention, perhaps, but I thought the lobby was a lovely place; someone with a good eye designed and decorated it. The room and the view from the room were splendid. We got excellent advice where to eat and to drink. Nafplio is a wonderful place for tourists to stay. You take your car trips to Tyrins, to Mycenae, to Pylos, even to Corinth, and you come back to a little town the center of which is just set out for tired tourists and succeeds perfectly in closing your day. Grand Serai is marvelous at this.
Review 5:Precious restored mansion with breathtaking views. High quality breakfast and very spacious rooms. Just in the very center of the beautiful town; everything within walking distance. Absolutely recommendable.
Review 6:It was difficult to find and bringing your luggage was kinda difficult but they offer help. Parking is into town which is about 10 minutes. Lots of them are available and safe.
Review 7:The service was beyond excellent! They make you feel very welcome. They have water juice and wine in the room for you. The bed was excellent. The rooms were modern and very very clean. Breakfast was excellent with fresh orange juice. A nice way to celebrate our anniversary. I wish all our other greece hotels were like Sarai but unfortunately they dont even come close to second.
Review 8:The shower was splashing and difficult to keep the floor dry
Review 9:Ambience sympathetically renovated with warm welcome from staff Daily supply of fresh towels and linen
Review 10:Large room with a balcony and fantastic view across the roof tops to the sea. Stylish decoration, comfortable bed and very clean. Easy walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants. The front desk recommended an excellent restaurant.
Review 11:Staff are excellent , friendly and efficient. The hotel is beautifully decorated and well kept. It's situated in a quiet part of the old town. The breakfast was delicious.
Review 12:The only possible reason to fault this lovely hotel is that it is (like all other hotels in the Old Town) not easy to get at with bags - up steps and down alleys. There is absolutely no other reason why you would not stay there - lovely people - amazing rooms - delicious breakfast.
Review 13:We liked everything about this hotel. The location in the old part of the City is lovely, if a little difficult to find at first. The hotel gave us two connecting rooms. Our room was very large with huge high ceilings. We had a nice view. The staff was excellent.
Review 14:- Nothing.
Review 15:- In the center of old Nafplio. - Friendly staff. - Great breakfast, every morning fresh orange juice! - Beautiful decoration and very modern.
Review 16:Charming room, in the centre of Naphlion, the receptionist had already put on the airco in the room before we arrived because of the very hot wheather: that was what we needed.
Review 17:The staff were friendly and welcoming; location was great and the room very comfortable with lovely views and effective air con. Breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection including different pastries every day. Highly recommended.
Review 18:Beautiful hotel..gorgeous..super friendly staff and very accommodating when we needed a later check out. We were with small children..great abundant breakfast.. Beautifully decorated.. They gave us an upgrade and greeted us with that good news.. We cannot wait to return here to stay two nights instead of one,,,
Review 19:They shouldn't advertise the parking spaces. There are only 3 at the end of a long narrow crowded twisty alley and the only way to get out is to BACK down. There is plenty of parking by the port and down by the new town so it is really unnecessary.
Review 20:Beautiful room, wonderful view, great location in the old town
Review 21:We drove a car and had difficulties getting our luggage to and from the hotel. The nearest parking is 2 blocks away so plan accordingly.
Review 22:A beautiful, grand and modern room with tons of space and view of the castle.
Review 23:-even if they upgraded my room, my single bed was short (my feet where reaching outside the bed) and it was extremely narrow. I was afraid of falling down during my sleep so I waked up lenty of time - an annoying noise from the panel of electricity during the whole night that they knew it excisted (as the receptonist said the next day)
Review 24:cocomat mats and towels nice location they upgraded my room while arriving complimentaries in the room (delicacies, wine) free juice, bottled water
Review 25:Difficult to get to when the town is busy and it is inevitable that one has to carry luggage up or down a number of steps. In fairness we knew this having stayed before.
Review 26:Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. The room was excellent with a good view from the balcony. Breakfast was very good with a ange of hot and cold food to suit all tastes.
Review 27:Parking is a great problem in Nafplio during rush hours/ days; even more the hotel is at dead end (Fotomara Str.) so you must drive in reverse in order to leave...
Review 28:Very nice hotel in the heart of Nafplio Old City - everything was at walking distance. We loved the calming decoration in the room as well as the breakfast.
Review 29:Lobby not inviting- Bar and Lobby aerea. Breakfast not up to standard. Coffee and Tea variations not exsisting.
Review 30:Perfect room size (Prestige Double) Nice
Review 31:Spacious room (junior suite) with fantastic views over city, sea and fortress. Attractive interior and ambience. Steps away from old town restaurants and bars, nonetheless in a quiet location. Good breakfast. Building has elevator which was really helpful for luggage and baby stroller.
Review 32:The bed wasn't the most comfortable. Unfortunately this is a significant benchmark for us whilst rating any property
Review 33:The location, the building, quality of the interiors and the staff !
Review 34:Nothing at all.
Review 35:Everything, they upgraded our room with a magnificent view of the old town and sea.Room is very nice with high ceiling, and welcome wine and free drinks. Breakfast was delicious including some Greek treats and fresh orange juice. Staff was always really friendly and helpful.I would recommend it without any doubt.
Review 36:would have preferred a separate shower in the junior suite.
Review 37:stylish but comfortable. Central location yet quiet. Stunning views of this most stylish and romantic of Greek towns
Review 38:A renovation in the bathroom would be recommended, to stand up to the amazingess of the hotel.
Review 39:We stayed for 2 nights in junior suite No 302 (to which they upgraded us from the superior double room we had initially booked for). The view is wonderful, the location is great, AT the center of the old town. You can access it easily with a car to drop off your luggage and perhaps get lucky to park around, otherwise you can park at 10minutes walking distance. The staff is very helpful.
Review 40:Very comfortable room with excellent facilities and a superb view over Nafplio. The breakfast was comprehensive and of the highest quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 41:Lack of nearby parking space.
Review 42:Professional and friendly staff, clean and spacious room. The hotel is located within the historical centre of the city and the price is very reasonable.
Review 43:Parking was pretty nonexistent but we found a spot and just kept it parked until we left.
Review 44:It was a small boutique hotel, that had a great breakfast and very comfortable and well appointed room. It had an elevator as well. Location is a lot closer to the main square than we thought so walking everywhere was easy.
Review 45:An old building completely renovated with great taste and confort inside. beautiful view of the village and sea from the third floor. Excellent position even if there are some steps to reach it from the parking place.
Review 46:An electric jug and mugs would be nice with maybe a few sachets of tea and coffee We would have liked at least one international English language television channel.
Review 47:We loved the large rooms and the view was amazing. We had a couple of different rooms but the top front room with balcony and side windows was spectacular. The comfortable mattress was a welcome relief as we had been away 5 weeks and all the Greek beds had been very hard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a big thank you to Fulvia who organised the room choice for us. The owner's cheerful greeting every morning made us feel at home. There was an excellent selection for breakfast also.
Review 48:We were upgraded to a better room upon arrival that gave as an awesome panorama over the town and larger space for the 3 of us. The interior is of high taste and quality, the staff is extremely hospitable.
Review 49:Nothing to dislike. Wonderful stay.
Review 50:Comfort, large room, nice bath, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful views from balcony. Cannot wait to return. Very hospitable. Owner said good bye and even gave us a bottle of wine as a gift on departure. When was the last time someone thanked you for staying with a gift? One day, there was an interruption of water service for a few hours for the entire town. Staff brought up large bottles of water, withoutus even asking.
Review 51:Nothing to dislike
Review 52:From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile, advice on where the best cafés and restaurants were, and that we had been upgraded to a balcony room. Centrally located, yet quiet, clean, modern, great variety for breakfast and a bar, it delivered on all expectations....will be back to this beautiful town and great hotel.
Review 53:Large room with great balcony view. Great place to spend a few days relaxing. Very comfortable hotel and great location. Very good breakfast as well.
Review 54:Excellent Hotel. Very well positioned, quite, very nice design, spacious room, professional and kind staff. Excellent breakfast. A great value for money.
Review 55:Parking was difficult but you manage. They do their best to accommodate you.
Review 56:Everything. Will go again. The owner was fantastic and showed an interest towards the people that stayed at his hotel. The staff were wonderful. The old part of Nafplio is a must to see if you are travelling to Greece. the people of Nafplio are Gorgeous.

Review 96:Nothing.
Review 97:This hotel is charming and well appointed. We booked two rooms that were right off the lobby area and found them both comfortable and quiet as well as convenient for a family of four with separate rooms. Our arrival was very late and the hotel clerk was kind enough to serve us beverages from the bar. The breakfast was the best of the 4 facilities we stayed at in our travels in Greece featuring pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, fresh orange juice, and breakfast meats. The location is in the old part of Nafplio and is an easy walk to the beach and fortress and even better access to the shops and restaurants. Note that if you are arriving by car you cannot actually drive up to the hotel as it is only accessible by narrow alleys and steps. You will need t park your car on the main road and walk up. Would highly recommend this hotel again and again.
Review 98:The views were great. The balcony, with table & chairs, overlooked the town rooftops, and the fort up the hill. It wasn't too near the restaurants so there was no noise problem.
Review 99:The Wi-Fi wasn't all that strong, a very minor point.
Review 100:Our jaws dropped when we first entered our room. It was large, very well-designed (minimalist, open-space type layout) with many large windows that opened up or out, allowing us control over the breeze and temperature without using A/C (which they also had). Right behind us was the old castle; literally, we saw it as soon as we woke up. We stayed on the top floor close to the castle, so I'm not sure how other views compare. The staff was excellent and the breakfast they prepared had many options, including some delightful pastries. Overall it was just fantastic.
Review 101:NOTHING
Review 102:The entire environment (staff and administration) was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the view fantastic and the breakfast surprisingly rich with many different tastes. Enjoyed every single moment! :-)
Review 103:We love this hotel! It is well-located, stylish, relaxed, comfortable and friendly - and at a fair price! ALL the staff are very pleasant and helpful and provide a great service. There are spectacular views from some of the rooms and breakfasts feature freshly-squeezed orange juice to order, yummy pastries and cheese pies and seasonal fruit and thick creamy yogurt - as well as all the usual hotel staples. In short, an excellent place to stay!
Review 104:Perfectly renovated hotel. Center of old city. Very clean. Luxurious breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Breathtaking views. The hotel to stay in Nafplio.
Review 105:Possible parking is far away. On the day of our stay the first Nafplio Marathon event has took place and to find place for parking was not easy.
Review 106:Great location. Very stylish and comfortable. Very helpful staff. Spectacular view.
Review 107:Loved the contemporary decor that complemented hiztoric building beautifully, super breakfast, delightful staff, terrific Location. Nice and warm on December visit. Up set of steps in romantic side street.
