Reviews for Hotel Residence Paradiso
Review 1:Very noisy place, with railway just a few meters from a hotel. Trains were running day and night, was impossible to sleep. No aircondition, what we did not expect in 3 starrs hotel. Poor water stream in a bathroom. Poor breakfast, no vegetable, no fruit, no eggs, cheese and hame limited to 1 type. Problematic and rather expensive parking
Review 2:environment - town Moneglia - was very nice. Good acces to 5terre region as well as to Portofino
Review 3:Very loud (train bridge just in front of a window, trains go every 15 min till 2am!); uncomfortable shower; loud working fridge, hard bed; TV in such a bad position that you have a neck pain.
Review 4:Staff was friendly and helpful but talking mainly in Italian though.
Review 5:Noise from frequent trains a few metres away made sleeping difficult (hotel info on website is a bit misleading), also street traffic and noisy neighbours did not help. Pillows need replacing and also the shower fitting
Review 6:Easy walk to town and station is about 15 minutes walk
Review 7:The door handles of the bathroom were a bit tight. Could be improved! Wifi may be introduced in the rooms as well.
Review 8:Location! Moneglia is a beautiful town. The Hotel is located very close to the beach and you have to walk through the town from the Moneglia Railway Station to reach it. And the walk isn't too much! We managed with a kid on the stroller. The town being so pretty helped as well! Special mention regarding the hosts and the girl at the desk : Really Sweet, Gentle and helpful couple! And the girl at the desk was very courteous and helpful. I would come here again!
Review 9:One bathroom shower was useless due to no hot water flow But since we didn't expect two bathrooms it was ok to have and extra toilette and sink! Which had hot water... Just the one shower was disfunctional... Beds were a tad hard - but the lower price made it a fair trade off... And the nice people and decent view and overall atmosphere really offeset most complaints .... We had a good time and these people are nice and worth meeting. ;)
Review 10:Very very nice old couple running the place and some younger helpers ... Decent spot for getting to the beach / some walking to the train but not bad if you are in normal shape ( around 15 minute walking thru nice little area ) We got the big room for kids and family which had two bathrooms and a small kitchenette which we didn't really use...
Review 11:Railway bridge is just 10 meters from the building. You need time to get used to this noise, although after midnight there are no trains. Room was badly cleaned and during 5 days the soap and shampoo were given just once.
Review 12:Hotel has a good position and it takes just a few minutes to get to the seaside.
Review 13:Very basic. Beds not too comfortable, you have to take out your own trash, didn't get fresh towels, towels by bidet had brown stains in them (yuk!) and the shower flooded the bathroom every time.
Review 14:Location is awesome! Close to the beach and great night life on the weekends (eating, vendors, dancing). Great places to eat in town and easy walk to train. Kitchen was nice to have and stove worked well. Location is the best thing.
Review 15:The room had nice terrace...close to the beach and town. Good vale...
Review 16:Transport to the hotel is non existent
Review 17:Feeling of safety no matter where we went
Review 18:Breakfast was very basic, for the price much better to go into the village and swing by a cafe or bakery. Parking was extra 8-10 Euros and internet only works in the lobby. But you are on vacation so who needs the internet?
Review 19:The staff was very friendly. The older couple that I am guessing owns the hotel spoke very little english, but went out of their way to communicate with us. There was one staff member that spoke english. The room was ideal for what we needed, a place to sleep. Beautiful balcony that we kept open at night to let in the cool air as there is no air conditioning, but really you did not need it in June. The hotel itself is ideally located in a small village a very short train ride away from Cinque Terre. Easy to get around and the people are amazingly friendly! Food is wonderful. We did not want to leave!
Review 20:The Paradiso hotel is very well situated in the nice village of Moneglia. From the hotel, the train station is reached in a 10 min walk. The train takes you to Cinque Terre in about 20-30 mins. The hotel is family-run by an elderly couple, that take very good care of their guests. We felt very welcome, and enjoyed the hospitality. Even if the hotel is rather basic, it is well kept, and it is very clean. We had a family room for 4 persons. It had a big balcony with breakfast table and enjoyed spending some time outside. Maybe we were lucky with the position of our rooms, but we were not disturbed at all by the passing trains (negative comments in other experiences).
Review 21:Our first night was a disaster, young guys locked out of room, yelling ,banging for 3hrs, managers unable to be contacted despite a phone no;provided in rooms for emergencies. Trains run next to building, somecould find this disturbing.
Review 22:Close to beaches & train for travel to Cinque Terra......
Review 23:The hotel is very close to the beach in Moneglia. The rooms are quite nice and the hotel owners are super friendly and helpful people. Would really recommend this one!
Review 24:Comfortable place to stay, they area isn't so touristy as further down the coast. There are some good restaurants nearby as well.
