Reviews for Le Coste
Review 1:The colosseum is 5 min down the street and it is a super location to the ancient sites of Rome. We were glad we had the owner arrange a pick up for us at the airport because it would have been hard to find on our own. It is in a nice secure site.
Review 2:The fact that you are expected to carry your trash bag up the hill for disposal when you leave. Thought this would be the job of the cleaners !
Review 3:The location of the property & being a self- contained unit.
Review 4:We had difficulties with the train and were delayed. The man that met us grumpy and inconvenienced. Also the bed was terrible: two single beds pushed together that would separate when weight was applied. I spent my nights falling in a crack! Finally, the instructions left for guests were inhospitable and a little unreasonable: it felt as if no one was coming to clean after we left! It was a lot of money yo spent to be that uncomfortable.
Review 5:The location was good, although it was not what was pictured.
Review 6:Would have loved a sea view but the balcony view over Main Street and village was fascinating enough.
Review 7:Great location in town. Just a couple of steps (5) off of Main Street. Grocery right nearby and very close to train station. Modern & clean. Great for 3 people.
Review 8:Didn't realise that the office was closed for lunch when we arrived. So we needed to wait around for the key after travelling for 4 hours on the train. But pricy!
Review 9:Great location!
Review 10:Took forever to find. Even locals did not know where the office is. Absolutely no signs. Google maps also shows wrong location.
Review 11:Great little apartment for our stay.
Review 12:Double bed was two singles put together and you could feel the springs come through on one of them.
Review 13:We were 100 metres from the train tunnel exit and very close to restaurants and convenience stores. Great service from the apartment managers who supplied power adapters and replacement hairdryer.
Review 14:During our 5-night stay, our unit was only cleaned once. Beds were not made, towels never changed, we had to request toilet paper & additional soap. The steps from ground level to 1st floor were dark tile, making them hard to see coming down, even in daylight. Some sort of warning strip sneers to be added.
Review 15:We found a small village atmosphere , great restaurants nearby providing nice variety with friendly natives. Our unit had all the electrical outlets we could ask for.
Review 16:We got used to the door opening up directly on to the main road....but the spotty WiFi signal and the need to log on every time you lose WiFi signal was maddening. There was no auto login (believe WiFi was simply piggy backing off the WiFi from next door's hiking store) and it would behoove you to memorize the username and password for the WiFi as you would undoubtedly be kicked off WiFi and have to log in a number of times if you decide to stay here. There are no views from the apartment either. The apartment is directly below a church with a bell tower...and the first bells ring at 7:00 AM...so if you want to sleep in, be prepared to be awaken by the bells.
Review 17:We liked its central location, located close to the tunnel leading to the train station as well as a few stores and restaurants. The apartment was spacious, clean, with newer furnishings. Check-in was fairly easy and Alisa readily answered any of our questions. The apartment was fairly quiet despite being on the ground floor with the main road (albeit a small one for Manarola and road traffic was limited to certain times of the day) directly at our doorstep.
Review 18:Electric fan was not cleaned. One of the shutters at the top of the stairs is stuck and can't be closed, that I had to hang a blanket for privacy. You need to ask for extra trash bags at the office if you're staying for a while. They have a nespresso machine, but no capsules, and nowhere in town to buy them from - so this is useless! Not enough soap/body wash provided. We have to take the trash out to the bins.
Review 19:Good sized apartment for 3. It's only a few minutes out of Manarola station, and not too far up the hill. The terrace was a great place to hang out and sun yourself. Checking in and out was a breeze, the staff were friendly and pleasant.
Review 20:The beds weren't the most comfortable
Review 21:the modern apartment was in a great location, not too far up the hill to walk, the kitchen was well supplied, the bathroom was nice.
Review 22:It was a little challenging to find the main office. The shower doors were flimsy. But, hey, life is good.
Review 23:Manarola was our favorite town of the Cinque Terra. The location of Le Coste was great. It was an easy walk to everything you would do while visiting Manarola. There is nothing fancy about this accomodation, however, it serves the purpose of being centrally located in a charming CT town.
Review 24:Although the apartment was conveniently located I was on the first floor so I couldn't open up the shutters without having people walk by and looking in. The second floor would have been better.
Review 25:Location, size, amendments.
Review 26:Lack of linen service - no clean towels or pillowcases for second pillows, beds smaller than twin and very uncomfortable.
Review 27:Liked location and cleanliness.
Review 28:According to Booking.com, the flat was vacant the two nights before - would have been nice of the staff to let us in early, or arrange a place for our bags that didn't involve waiting for them to get back from lunch break. When you are paying so much for a room... It's the little things that make that price worthwhile. Also, this (like many places in Italy) did not have a double/queen bed, but two beds pushed together. I"m not sure why Italians think that a sheet can hold 2 beds together for a whole night, but it doesn't and we're not really fooled by it! Overall, the apartment and location were a delight, but it was expensive for us.
Review 29:Manarola itself is adorable -- quaint and gorgeous. Loved swimming in the bay and climbing the rocks to jump in - so refreshing in August. Once the tourist boats and busses leave, its pretty quiet. The apartment itself was clean and seemed new. The location was just UP the hill from the train/port. Lovely views out the windows.
Review 30:Beds were like camping beds and the pillows were terrible. TV reception very patchy, met some people who paid less for better a few doors down.
Review 31:Very good location, clean and modern, staff helpful. Air conditioning and lovely big windows to open
Review 32:The apartment is located on the main street. The apartment was very clean. The staff were attentive. I didn't have hot water and a team of people were immediately there, they called in an expert and it was fixed.
Review 33:Wifi weak on lower level. Could do with some hooks in bathroom as there's no maid services for an apartment. Location on google maps has you walking way to high(near church), perhaps some larger signage of offices before you rely on google maps . Fix up google maps location.
Review 34:Was well situated in the town. A suitable apartment, spacious enough for 3 adults. A very nice bathroom. Very happy with choice if Manarola. Not to busy with tourists.
Review 35:Bed was horrible, not even fit to lay on The outlets in the bathroom didn't work with the hair dryer Had to take out your own trash Must wash all dishes and hang all towels before departure, despite paying for cleaning Ants all over the apartment
Review 36:Big apartment Good wifi
Review 37:Nothing.
Review 38:The staff were friendly and very helpful. When we arrived we found the shower head broken, we informed staff and they got someone to come and look at it straight away - It was done within an hour! The apartment was super clean and had all the conveniences you need. We only stayed 2 nights but this apartment would be ideal for a longer stay with a kitchenette and small dining space. The place was a 5 min walk to the station and restaurants. It made catching the train to and back from the other towns easy. Overall a great stay.
Review 39:not many restaurants in the location
Review 40:the room was spacious and nice
Review 41:perfect location, super clean and new! great price!
Review 42:Liked the lovely apartment and it's location was perfect for train and cafes and not up hundreds of steps.
Review 43:Great location. Quirky apartment with plenty of space for a short stay. Nice to have a balcony to sit and enjoy the place.
Review 44:Room is a bit small!
Review 45:Great location and friendly staff!
Review 46:A bit noisy in the mornings
Review 47:Well set up modern studio close to everything. Not too many steps in a town with LOTS of them!
Review 48:Wifi connection was really bad
Review 49:Perfect location
Review 50:Very nice appartment!
Review 51:The air condition in 1st floor is terrible. No breakfast.
Review 52:The location nears the train station.
Review 53:Bed was pretty budget but not bad.. Staff were fine but not very engaging
Review 54:Manarola is incredible! Best place to stay in cinque terra
Review 55:Only dislike was a mattress that was just not up to standard - horrible actuslly
Review 56:Staff, location
Review 57:Location perfect - Manarola perfect
Review 58:The apartment is clean, well-equipped, located on the main street of the village. A 3-minute walk from the pier.
Review 59:Location was fine
Review 60:We didn’t found a wine opener in the kitchen
Review 61:The location is super! Just few minutes to the market. The centre of country CINQUE TERRE
Review 62:Poor wifi
Review 63:Clean Well maintained Balcony overlooking old town
Review 64:early checking during winter, good facilities, strong wifi!
Review 65:Modern conform apartments built in an old Italian village of Manarola.
Review 66:Location
Review 67:Air conditioning unit from downstairs shop on our balcony was very loud and hot.
Review 68:Very spacious, close to everything, great balcony.
Review 69:One of mattress had springs broken which made sleeping poor
Review 70:Great location Spacious room
Review 71:Shower head needed fixing as you had to hold it
Review 72:Good location ,easy from train and 200metres for a swim
Review 73:Nothing
Review 74:Great location, beautiful apartment. Great facilities.
Review 75:The street is quite noisy even early in the morning. No moka available.
Review 76:The flat is modern and nice
Review 77:Poorly equipped kitchenette, no bread knife, no large glasses for beer, no coffee machine / espresso pot. No clothes airer or drying line. Only a hob, no grill or oven. Balcony is unusable on a hot evening as the air conditioning motor for the entire block is sited in the balcony and blasts out hot air and is noisy 24/7
Review 78:Location was 5star - quieter part of the village and within a few meters of the higher hiking route trail heads for Corniglia and Riomaggiore. Yet only a couple of doors away from the food store and a few minutes from the bars and the sea; and the railway station.
Review 79:We are assigned to an apartment in the vicinity of the main street. it is located at the middle of Manarola village. The apartment is very comfortable and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. 干净,整洁,离火车站和海滩很近,比较安静
Review 80:Shower was not so easy to operate (water control & sliding doors not easy).
Review 81:Modern, clean accommodation & very helpful staff. Very easy access.
Review 82:No comfortable seating for relaxing. Accommodation windows right at eye height of passers by and rooms very dark if shutters or blinds used to give privacy. Room was on main town street and right by shuttle bus stop. No privacy.
Review 83:Close proximate to village centre. Staff accommodation of our later than planned arrival. Good to have a small kitchen as a cooking option.
Review 84:It was an apartment, but no power point over the kitchen bench. The nearest one was low near the floor on an adjacent wall. Silly really, when the owner is an electrician, I was told.
Review 85:The location - not far to climb up the hill and not far from the station and convenient to the shops and laundry.
Review 86:We only had simple breakfasts - who is going to cook when there are these great restaurants who cook better than us. Serious cookers might find the kitchenette limiting. Odd placement of electric outlets. Nothin near the table, had to snake my extension cord through the narrow gap between the closet and the wall. And no outlets at the kitchen counter for the water boiler and the toaster.
Review 87:Nice location in a lovely town. Conveniently near the food shop and the gelataria. A fine studio to stay in for 5 nights. Great food in the restaurants. We'd be happy to stay there again.
Review 88:wifi is poor, but it is ok, we come for leisure, not for business....
Review 89:good location to start tour around Terre Cinque. small but nice apartment. suppermarket Coop is just 20 meters away. Remember not knocking at wrong door of receiption. See the Tabacco shop and go up stairs on the right side.
Review 90:The apartment would not be good for families with toddlers or babies as there were several safety issues (steep stairs, sharp corners, low railings etc.).
Review 91:Arbaspaa staff (especially Ana) were superb. We had a problem with ants in the bathroom that they immediately resolved. They also offered lots of good advice for places to eat and visit and had excellent English.
Review 92:the location of the hotel is not very is easy to find, when we arrive at the small town,we should call the hotel office directly.
Review 93:very good! the beds are very comfortable, and the room is so clean, the kitchen have the whole dinnerware, you can live in the hotel for a long holiday.
Review 94:Not a problem, but do note, that check in is in office above tobacconist store and then you will be shown your apartment, and needs to be before 6pm.
Review 95:New self catering apartment in old building in middle of Manarola. Grocery store within a few metres and easy walk to train station and all of village.
Review 96:The bed was extremely uncomfortable, for that reason alone we wouldn't stay there again.
Review 97:Anna was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Location in Manarola was great (no stairs to climb).
Review 98:Being a mature couple we appreciated the ground floor location as the village is built on a very steep hillside. Some units in the village are high up and whilst they afford sea views their access is via many many steps/stairs.
Review 99:The studio apartment wasn't really conducive for three adults, perhaps good for a child as the third person. The sofa bed was not long enough or very comfortable. The kitchen was great but small quantities of the basics would be gratefully received - salt and pepper, oil at least. So people know, there is no sea view from the studio apartment.
Review 100:The location was excellent, close to the Manarola train station. The bathroom was very good, spacious and good hot water but the shower head had a missing knob so it couldn't be anchored on the pole to the right height. And the safe also had a missing knob so wasn't usable.
Review 101:We did not have electricity when we checked in (someone had left with the electricity card). No clean towels the second night we stayed. Airconditiong was only on the bottom floor, not the second floor.
Review 102:Good location.
Review 103:The bed is horrible. Very springy with little cushioning. I felt like I was getting jabbed with the springs whenever I moved.
Review 104:Location is great. Not too far from the train station. Locals were pretty helpful in advising us where to go for check-in - (This is a little confusing). Really clean and modern. Staff were helpful when we needed their assistance.
Review 105:Nothing really...The air conditioner started to leak some water down the wall which we informed the staff about.
Review 106:My wife and I spent four nights here and loved it. After we arrived at the train station, the reception office for the apartment was easy to find (above tabacco shop up Main Street a bit). The apartment was clean and modern. It had a great little kitchen with all the utensils we needed as well as a dining table. We bought groceries from the store next to the apartment and made picnics to take down to the water as there are many seats overlooking the water. Great place to stay!
Review 107:Lack of air conditioning in upstairs. Hot air conditioning outlet on balcony. Lack of maintenance to apartment furniture (outdoor chairs and shower head broken). Kitchen not well equipped.
Review 108:Location- felt like part of the village lifestyle. Views from patio. Experience on the cinque terra walking trail and swimming in local waters overcame any negatives.
Review 109:I think the biggest problem is your booking site doesn't specify noroom service, so I kept thinking they were going to come. Just make itclear to renters there is no daily room service!!!!!
Review 110:The apt. Was clean, bright and spacious. I liked being on the groundfloor stepping right out onto the Main St. Of Manarola. Very nice!!
Review 111:The upstairs room of one apartment did not have air conditioning. Therewere no extra blankets.
Review 112:The location was fabulous. The apartment was close to the train station,as well as to shops and restaurants. The management staff was veryhelpful in staying late to meet us for quick check in and answeringtourist questions.
Review 113:The free wifi was key in our decision to rent this place over other spaces. Weak/ no signal in the upper apartment.
Review 114:Location! Manarola was an excellent place to stay! We rented all three apartments for 3 couples. Clean accommodations, kitchens, bathrooms.
Review 115:Considering the fact that it was a self-service apartment, it was a little overpriced.
Review 116:Very close to everything. Spacious. Nice bathroom. Some kitchen utilities. Manarola is one of the best towns in Cinque Terre! Make it your base.
Review 117:We need clear address where to check in as the office and the apartment are located in separate buildings. Otherwise, everything is the best. :)
Review 118:The apartment is lovely, clean, and convenient. There is a little Coop shop close to the apartment. People in Manarola are so friendly.
Review 119:On the main street, no patio or balcony.
Review 120:Large, clean, nicely laid out.
Review 121:On a very busy, noisy road, especially early in the morning.
Review 122:Bed was quite uncomfortable. Wi-Fi only worked in 1 room.
Review 123:Location was great. We had a terrace that was very nice. It was great to have a kitchen.
Review 124:The apartment-style accomodations and location
Review 125:very modern apartment with good location for exploring cinque terre
Review 126:Great apartment
Review 127:bad baby bed (instable, awful smell from humidity)
Review 128:friendly people, nicely furnished apartment at a central place in Manarola
Review 129:No sea view,
Review 130:Kitchen, balcony, central location, Manarola, trek shop with laundry.
Review 131:The physical address of the rooms was not where the office was which made checking in a bit confusing.
Review 132:We liked the layout and the location.
