Reviews for Hotel Duomo Cremona

Review 1:Parking for the car is not free, but it is near the hotel.

Review 2:The hotel is in the center of Cremona. Great location, walking distance to visit the Duomo, the violin museum, to go shopping. The rooms in the hotel were clean and comfortable. Good breakfast! This hotel has a good menu to eat typical food at a low price. Other restaurants in the area were more expensive! The staff is nice and well organized. I enjoyed my visit!

Review 3:Quadruple room: The lights didn't work, beds are not very comfortable, room is a little darker, bathroom is not funcional

Review 4:Breakfast ok, location is the best point of the place

Review 5:The Hotel Duomo 's apartments are not for everyone. They are located a bit of a slog away from the hotel itself and on the top floor of a centuries old building. The stairway is narrow and somewhat steep. The kitchen could have been cleaner. Lots of jightbulbs were missing. All said though, we were extremely comfortable. The coffe at breakfast was pretty awful but then again most hotel breakfast coffee leaves much to be desired. Note, our friends stayed in a regular hotel room -- attractively renovated and comfortable.

Review 6:We stayed in apartment #2. Very large 2 bedrooms, living/dining/kitchen area plus full bath with washing machine. Very good wifi signal. Cooking implements are a mixed bag but when I asked for a few additional things, they were brought over immediately. The entire staff was lovely and made up for any shortcomings. At €80/night including breakfast, a very good deal.

Review 7:The room is a little too small even for one person.

Review 8:Excellent location and very clean room. The restaurant downstairs is excellent. Breakfast is also very good.

Review 9:It is a little bit noisy during the night (mostly during the weekend).

Review 10:Location for Cremona half marathon is more than excellent. Very clean rooms and staff are very nice.

Review 11:The place was not checked prior our arrival. Internet did not work, no matches to ignite gas stove. But the staff have addressed all the problems promptly.

Review 12:Location and rooms (2 bedrooms + kitchen!!!), price. Friendly and responsive staff.

Review 13:Our small room was at the top with a sloping ceiling and the window was at floor level. The roof light was covered by a thick cloth. Sound travelled fairly easily.

Review 14:Friendly staff and very clean in a central location. Good having a restaurant attached. Nice meal there.

Review 15:Books a triple room expecting a double and a single bed but ended up with 3 singles in a long narrow room. Noisy. Breakfast was poor - limited cereals, squash instead of fresh fruit juice but lots of cakes.

Review 16:Location - right in centre of town but still walking distance from train station.

Review 17:Great localization, renewed rooms, nice breakfast with home-made sweets, good coffee in the morning and a restaurant in the evening serving nice food inside and outside - with fantastic view on the Duomo. Worth coming back!

Review 18:The appartman should be cleaned better, there was not enough glasses, plates, cups etc in the kitchen.

Review 19:Very good price, very close to the center, personel is very kind, coffe and sugar were the so I could prepare my morning coffe in the app. I was given a dicount at the hotes restaurant. where I had lounch.

Review 20:Nice, clean hotel in best place, excellent pizzeria in ground floor, just few steps from the cathedral and amazing bell tower. There hotel has the lift, which is in Italy very unusual. The only complaint is the quality of pillows - it is not pillow, it is more stone!

Review 21:Only one minor glitch: our room was in need of a little more light.

Review 22:From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt like family. The staff couldn't do enough to make our short stay a memorable one. They "gifted" us free wine and Lemoncello with our dinner in their wonderful restaurant, assisted with directions, and when we left, they called a cab for us, watching for ten minutes to make sure it arrived on time. They then insisted on helping with the luggage! We are only sorry we didn't book more time in Cremona.

Review 23:Room renovations unfinished - room had no towel rails; no toilet roll holder; no fire alarm. Mattress very hard and no mattress protector.

Review 24:Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 25:Loud and thumping music every night up to midnight, from a Bar in the same street, just two doors away. Also, an over vigilant restaurant supervisor who chased my wife when he thought she was ''doing a runner", when I had already put the bill on my account.

Review 26:The Baptistry and Council Building

Review 27:Awful bed Terrible pillows and blanket Excruciatingly noisy AC couldn't keep up Poor lighting Terrible elevator No decor Stink of cigarette smoke Keys very difficult to use TV so small it's s waste of space

Review 28:Location only

Review 29:The restaurant is really good and good value for the money. Breakfast for Italian standards has a wide variety. Central location near the wonderful piazza. Very helpful staff, even drove with me to a parking place to find it quickly.

Review 30:One of our rooms was still being renovated and lacked telephone, towel rail and separate key. The restaurant service was unduly slow with one pizza arriving after all others had finished. An excellent chocolate desert made up for it however.

Review 31:Access by car is not easy but possible, and the reception staff were most helpful in unloading our luggage and we then parked it underground just by the Violin Museum two minutes away. We were able to select rooms that suited our family configuration ideally. Quiet despite being central and busy.

Review 32:I love the "Strad/Vivaldi" theme because I'm a violinist. The town oozes with classical music culture and Hotel Duomo is on the same page all the way! We were comfortable in every way.

Review 33:A bit smaller and basic than we would have liked - however, we are aware that we were in another country with different standards than our own - so that was fine.

Review 34:The location of the hotel was amazing, right on the square! The staff were so helpful and polite and we could tell that they cared about their business!

Review 35:Public car parking adds a bit of extra cost or a bit of a walk to free spaces. Bedroom shortage was limited.

Review 36:Staff interactions were beyond all expectation. Friendly; first name terms, catered for our large group with aplomb, even helped with translation for my wedding speech!

Review 37:Without parking. But not so far from city parking Marconi. 14 euro per day. During weekends free of charge.

Review 38:Very close to the city center Duomo. Good kitchen.

Review 39:A bit noisy especially in the hallways. The keys are on a heavy metal ball and is very clumsy to carry. The keys do not seem to be up to date. A basic skeleton key is not a secure one.

Review 40:Hotel restaurant is good and reasonably priced. I love the violin theme throughout the hotel. THis is a nice and classy touch.

Review 41:A little bit difficult driving through the non-pedestrian area to check in. The room was a little on the small side for a family.

Review 42:Location is superb. Restaurant downstairs was also lovely.

Review 43:Location: tricky with heavy luggage. Unfriendly welcome at breakfast.

Review 44:Location. Friendly welcome on arrival. Extremly comfortable room, aircon, bathroom.

Review 45:There is no TV-program in German. In the bathroom nearly no place to put something.

Review 46:The location in the middle of the town. You can reach all famous andimportant places on foot. Excellent service.

Review 47:Not a thing

Review 48:Location. Good for centre and parking in Piazza Marco ni. 14€ for 24 hours only 2 minutes walk to hotel.also Piazza Marco ni is where the stradivarius museum is.

Review 49:Just one thing:my room had a lovely new bathroom, but not one place to hang a towel nor anywhere to put toiletries.

Review 50:It was a few steps from the Duomo, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. It was a family business and it had great ambiance.

Review 51:Room was small but we were aware that larger rooms were available.

Review 52:Location was ideal. Hotel was quiet and spotless and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Review 53:None.

Review 54:Friendly staff helped us park our car and get settled in. Nice room that was clean and comfortable. Close to the Duomo and other tourist sites. Pleasant breakfast.

Review 55:Impossible to get close to unload luggage. But this is the price one pays for a central location. E.g. Colmar, Padova, Mantova etc etc Very little drawer space.

Review 56:Central location. Friendly people.

Review 57:Just a suggestion to the Management: Please replace all light bulbs with leds. The lighting is really poor.

Review 58:Location, kind reception, excellent wi-fi connection, big bed, spacious bathroom, good sound-proofing.

Review 59:There was no internet access at this apartment nor was there a TV. It was a bit noisy as the bedrooms faced directly on the street.

Review 60:The apartment was a nice surprise. Two bedrooms, kitchen, laundry and a nice shower. The apartment had a nice historic ambience.

Review 61:Bed was rather small for two adults Could need some refurbishment in next future

Review 62:Staff is super friendly and makes the difference Location, location, location The restaurant is good but, normally priced breakfast has a variaty of bread, cerals, fruit and fantastic fresh cakes

Review 63:English was on a low to average level and could be better in a 3-star hotel.

Review 64:Laid-back attitude towards the guest - no documents were checked, payment at checkout. We were greeted with an aperitiff of a bruschetta and some juice. Very nice design of the bathroom

Review 65:Wish we had more lighting in the room for reading. Because the hotel is in a ZTL (limited traffic zone) the hotel should provide directions to the hotel with the reservation confirmation. (Our GPS wanted to take us onto streets that were pedestrian access only!)

Review 66:We had dinner in their restaurant and loved it!

Review 67:The lift was slow or not working but on the plus side, the receptionist carried the bag upstairs.

Review 68:I found the location excellent, the price very good, the bed very comfortable. It was a very clean room. The staff were helpful and easy going- I had breakfast on my own early and then was still allowed to top up with coffee later when my friends came downstairs.

Review 69:very thin bedroom doors, load of noise from the corridor and street (very lively town!) which is not making this hotel ideal for a restful stay...unless you have ear plugs!

Review 70:rooms very clean and modern, staff very friendly and helpful although not always able to speak english (but hey... you're in Italy right?)

Review 71:Suggestion - a notice in English on how to flush the toilet in the restaurant toilet.

Review 72:Location of hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, especially as I arrived later than expected. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage while I walked around the town.

Review 73:Not really for me as it wasn't a problem for one night, but in apt there was no tv, no internet, no plates / cups, no cookware, no washing machine, just 2 rooms with beds and hall/kitchen with table.

Review 74:fast check in, good location. Booked room in hotel, got replaced to apartment due to some problems with water.

Review 75:The room wasn't really spacious, and the elevator took an eternity to move.

Review 76:its location, just a few meters from the Duomo, is great! Moreover, the hotel's restaurant serves amazing ravioli with meet!

Review 77:Rooms have boilers for hot water but no one warns about it, so it can be not enough water for two persons for bathing

Review 78:Attitude of the owners of the hotel was excellent and very attentive to our needs.

Review 79:3 coat hangers in open wardrobe, no other storage at all. Had to live out of suitcases for a week! Hopeless lighting in bedroom, needed torch to read. All room keys identical, so not secure.

Review 80:Comfy bed, nice bathroom, good breakfasts, perfect location.

Review 81:Watch drink prices and service charge (20%) in hotel restaurant.

Review 82:- Clean hotel in centre of town. - Modern room with clean bathrooms. - WiFi did not quite reach our room, but worked OK otherwise. - Breakfast was in restaurant downstairs and consisted of usual light european breakfast.

Review 83:The rooms were very small and tight, and not really maintained to standard.

Review 84:The staff were amazing...so kind and helpful!! And it was very close to all the things a visitor would want to see in Cremona.

Review 85:The air con didn't work making the top floor rooms really hot. The roof window was over the bed so could not be opened in the rain to allow the heat out. The TV had lots of prohibited channels. The bed and pillows were really hard. No lock on the toilet doors.

Review 86:The beautiful old surroundings. The restaurant served great food. The rooms and hotel were really clean. The outside seating area was perfect. Breakfast was really varied so there was something for everyone. The staff were really helpful and very polite.

Review 87:Only one chair in (double) room and it was very uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was fine.

Review 88:Great location, a few steps from the cathedral yet very quiet at night. Modern bathroom with very good shower. Very efficient staff. I like that we were able to eat breakfast at 7AM. By leaning out our window we could see the duomo.

Review 89:Perfect location, if with a car - parking is 3 minutes away and the cost is 14€ per day. Good conditioner, excellent beds. The staff is very kind and helpful and there is a very good restaurant, too.

Review 90:Detached rather slow service at reception on arrival, and inattentive and uninterested at breakfast next day; too many tourists? Poor room security - primitive door locks with reception desk holding keys not always attended.

Review 91:Very close to cathedral with outstanding view of facade. Close to historic civic buildings and violin museum (and some violin makers workshops). Hotel restaurant with outside tables and good lunch and dinner; looked popular with locals. Room comfortable with good en suite bathroom facilities.

Review 92:Felt like we stayed at hotels that were better value for money than here.

Review 93:Arrived by car and tricky to get through town but the hotel staff sent someone back with me to help avoid the no dive centre of town.

Review 94:Was quite warm when we stayed and aircon didn't get very cold. Walls very thin and could hear everybody. Pilllows needs to ge replaced as they are very worn.

Review 95:Fantasic location. Rooms every clean.

Review 96:Helpful staff, recently refurbished to a good standard, have a garage to park the bike in, center of town for food etc, good hotel restaurant, good breakfast , good value

Review 97:A/C was weak in one of the rooms.

Review 98:Great location, great food. Staff went beyond normal expectations and was very helpful in every way they could. Clean and pleasant setting.

Review 99:Elevator slower than molasses! TV small and mounted off-center to beds.

Review 100:Literally a stone's throw from the Duomo. Very friendly, helpful staff. even printed out a train schedule for us.

Review 101:We booked 2 rooms. The triple room had a strange lay out and The portable Ac unit is loud. Overall is good. Will come back.

Review 102:Location,staff and cleanliness

Review 103:Better to use stairs than lift which is surprisingly slow.

Review 104:Hotel was situated in the pedestrian area - just a few minutes walking distance from the cathedral and the violin-museum. Breakfast is served in the street with a wonderful view on the main facade of the cathedral. Free parking is not far away.

Review 105:The air conditioning was not strong enough. Admittedly the weather was extraordinarily hot.

Review 106:The restaurant they run was excellent. The food was fresh, reasonably priced and perfectly prepared.

Review 107:The location is really good and the facilities too. The staffs are really kind and supportive and helpful. I liked my stay there and so i will choose this hotel if i further visit cremona. :)

Review 108:This was a very pretty hotel in a small pedestrian street with restaurant in front. Our room was lovely with a glassed-off bathroom area including a double shower - overhead plus adjustable hand-held. Good water pressure too, We had a balcony overlooking the street and restaurant but had to ask for chairs as there were one on it. Ideal for a glass of wine at the end of the night. We though people were staring at us but they were actually looking up at the paintings on the walls either side of the balcony. Cremona is a pretty old town with lots of places to eat and drink. We took a trip to Lodi which is very small and doesn't take long to see.

Review 109:The location of the hotel is so to say on the main city square in the middle of the old town. We had a room with a balcony with a stunning view at the beautiful Cathedral - magical in the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful, thereby making our stay even more comfortable. Clean and nicely designed rooms. An additional benefit is the hotel's restaurant offering good food for reasonable prices.

Review 110:Rooms facing the Srreet are noise.

Review 111:Location and staff.

Review 112:Very friendly staff. Very good service. Clean rooms. Own nice restaurant.

Review 113:small bedroom

Review 114:location...friendly staff...fresh coffee good breakfast

Review 115:Location was superb as was staff and facilities. Dinner served just outside of the hotel on the street in view of the Duomo was magical.

Review 116:Breakfast could be better, for example having local salame and cheese

Review 117:Bed very comfortable, room was very clean, staff very kind

Review 118:Very nice, stylish and comfortable hotel, with beautiful view the Cremona Duomo, free Wi-Fi, in the city center, Helpful and friendly staff,

Review 119:very convenient location, good breakfast, creaky elevator, small bathroom

Review 120:Noisy, not well sound-insulated. Rooms are quite small for two people. Beds are very hard.

Review 121:Great location. Large modern bathroom

Review 122:Where disepointed on our tree beds room.

Review 123:The location.

Review 124:The Apartment we stayed at.

Review 125:Photos on Booking.com, does not comply with reality.

Review 126:Helpful and friendly staff.

Review 127:Mosquito in the room, air conditioning not cold enough, room is too dark.

Review 128:Excellent location, very clean, very friendly an helpful staff.

Review 129:Location was fantastic ..... So close to everything.

Review 130:Position great. Staff pleasant. Breakf ast fine.

Review 131:The staff were brilliant! The owner Nicco was a joy to behold and made us incredible meals off the menu and charged us very little!
