Reviews for Villa Del Bosco

Review 1:Place is of difficult access specially if you arrive in the night.

Review 2:Owner is someone that everyone should know. Offered us a bottle of wine of his own production. Biological farm ran by himself producing also olive oil and honey. View to the surroundings is amazing and 10 minutes away from Segesta archeological park.

Review 3:The staff is non professional in many respects: the ad on booking.com doesn't say that, to reach the "Villa", one has almost two km of a countryside road, without asphalt, plenty of holes, with no signs nor illumination at all. In practice, you risk the health of a city car, and we were lucky to arrive when there was still light. Also, when we called the owner while looking for the place, he was able only to give vague indications on how to reach the place. We were lucky to meet a random person in the street that indicated the way. The ad said the room would have had air-conditioning, being in August that was one of our criteria to choose a place where to sleep. No air conditioning was working in any of the rooms, and they didn't even have a ventilator. They say this place is a bed and breakfast, but no breakfast was served. In the morning when we were heading out around 8:30 am, the owner was not in the house, and we had to wake up his wife, (sleeping in the room next to ours, keep in mind this is not a professional structure but their house vaguely adapted to host people) to be able to pay. In summary, I would not recommend this place to anybody

Review 4:The area is beautiful, right in the countryside, and very peaceful (despite the dog often barking). Our room had a window with a very nice view

Review 5:This is one most charming B and B's we've ever been to. Wonderful relaxing home overlooking mountains covered in olive trees. Characterful and homey. The night we stayed we had the best pizza we've ever had cooked by Angelica in their real wood oven in the garden. Homemade organic honey and olive oil too. We liked Gian Franco's wine so much we bought two bottles to take with us for the rest of our trip! Lovely friendly people in a quiet relaxing setting. Perfect for day trips to the temple at Segesta, the medieval town of Erice and the rest of Western Sicily. We wish we'd stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Review 6:very nice host

Review 7:This place like a dream!

Review 8:The WiFi passcode should be given to guests when they arrive.

Review 9:Probably the most quiet place in Sicily, only surrounded by nature (no human noise!).

Review 10:This is not a regular hotel, it's more like a rural b&b ran by one person. We spent a wonderful evening having dinner with the host and his friends. Beautiful location, but it's difficult to find. The owner had to come pick us in the town which was fine.

Review 11:The weather was cold, wet and windy and there was no heat in the room, but we doubled up on the comforters and stayed warm.

Review 12:Our accommodations were a bit rustic, but the host and his helpers were very nice and the dinner and breakfast we had there was very good.

Review 13:The owner is a very nice person and an excellent cook. We spent quite some time talking with him and learnt a lot about Sicily. Very big, comfortable and clean room. The house is on the top of a hill in the country side, quiet and green. Excellent value for the price.

Review 14:None

Review 15:Mr and Mrs Gianfranco are very knowledgeable and kind hosts. They renovated their villa on their own and did an excellent job to make the home home. Very nice and warm-atmosphere interior with terracotta floor tiles and original wooden furnitures. The homemade breakfast and dinners are very tasty and healthy. After our visit, we started to make similar food as well. It is a pity we just planned to stay for one night. Next time, i think I would rather stay for a couple of weeks

Review 16:Fantastic location in the hills with great views. Beautiful hiking tracks trough the hills. Eating with the family/owners and their friends was a fantastic experience especially since all food and wine was locally produced or bought. Great to try the products Gianfranco and Nicola produce.

Review 17:Very nice owner of the place, but air condition were not working & there was not hot water, but nice experience to visit Italian Country side.

Review 18:The farm is located outside the village, 3-4 kilometers on gravel bumpy way.
