Reviews for Cremona Hotels Impero

Review 1:The hotel and the room need to be refurbished or at least better maintained. Nothing dramatic however. We missed a few more sockets, for instance to charge our phones at night.

Review 2:The hotel is located in the very centre of the city. Many reviewers have been mentioning the noise at night, but the room we got (facing the backyard) was very quite.Breakfast was pretty good.

Review 3:Room is too small, barely had space to move. Room is pretty hot and the AC was not working

Review 4:Room is pretty clean and the hotel is at really good location

Review 5:I found this to be a smaller city as far as walking around, so not much reason to stay more than 2 nights

Review 6:we lucked into a couple of free concerts in town and 3 weddings to watch. the marketta was at the foot of our doorway

Review 7:Square at front of the hotel has some bars and so rooms at front can be noisy

Review 8:Great location in centre of Cremona very friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast

Review 9:Lobby area small and lacking a decent lounge.

Review 10:Great location, close to everything, especially the Duomo and violins! Within a few minutes' walk from the Duomo, the Violin Museum, violin makers, good restaurants and what night life Cremona has to offer.

Review 11:we did not mind but it was quite noisy at night, lots of partying people. Some people might not approve

Review 12:nice big rooms friendly staff late check in centrally located in Cremona loved the coffee machine in the room near coffee shops etc

Review 13:The location, quiet, clean room was perfect. A short taxi ride from the train station and we were in our hotel room. A lovely park is also nearby to just sit and breath in the fragrance of the most beautiful old Magnolia tree I've ever seen.

Review 14:The hotel is situated within a short walking distance of the main piazza and all the bars and restaurants. The Museum of the Violin is a mere one-minute walk. The staff at the reception are very kind. In general, I liked everything about this hotel. Thank you!

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:The staff was very helpful and professional (I don't dress in a particular smart way and sometimes in italy 4 and 5 stars hotel staff is a bit rude, this wasn't the case). Very good rate. Lovely and confortable bed. Perfect location

Review 17:Facility somewhat old

Review 18:Staff friendliness Location Quiet Free tickets to the museum (worth 10 Euros) Large facility Breakfast option included Good free Wifi

Review 19:The only advice to avoid is the discount at the Osteria del Milagrado. For those who know Peruvian Spanish, the restaurant should be call, El Mal Logrado! The rice and the pasta was under cooked. Better avoid that one. There are great restaurants in the old center.

Review 20:The view from the room was excellent - over the Pace Piazza. The breakfast was outstanding The personnel very friendly and helpful The bathroom was a good size and beautifully done. WI-FI Was fast Room size was ample Ample closet space too

Review 21:There are several restaurants in the front of the hotel and customers can be noisy till late into the night. Should have more TV channels in other languages, at least in English.

Review 22:Spacious, clean, comfortable, excellent location. Friendly staff. The violin museum is just a casual two minutes stroll away !

Review 23:Nothing.

Review 24:The hotel is in the best possible position, right in the centre of everything. The view of the tower from our room (3rd floor) was fantastic and it was high enough to be undisturbed from the bar/restaurant noises outside especially on Fri and Sat nights. Only 30 second walk to the main square, Cathedral and Torozz and to the (new)Violin Museum. Air con was excellent, We borrowed some bikes for free for a day and they were really good quality and we had a fab ride down to the river Po. Really worthwhile. I have been to Cremona a few times and will return as I love it so much. Impero Hotel will definitely be where I stay next time.

Review 25:There is life in the evening in the square close to the hotel. I did not mind, but it might disturb someone.

Review 26:The location was excellent, very central with easy access to the main attractions (Duomo, Babtistery, Violin museum etc.) and to the shopping area. Parking in a close by carage was easy and not that expensive. Room was nice and comfortable.

Review 27:The car park is a distance away. It is easy to get to after depositing bags but the one way system makes it very difficult to get back to the hotel to pick up bags - and this is impossible to do on market day which is wednesday. However it is reasonably easy to walk with bags with wheels as you can go down an elevator to the underground car park near the violin museum.

Review 28:Hotel is in a beautiful part of Cremoana. Lots of nearby beauty in the buildings. Sara in reception speaks english and gave great instructions for arrival and departure.

Review 72:Though parking is easily accessible (and located ~30m from the hotel), it was not clear from hotel's website. However, the staff helped us to find the way.

Review 73:Hotel located on perfect place with very nice room, nice breakfast and excellent view. Well recommended.

Review 74:We like hotol's staffs, they are nice, patience and professional. Especially, the lady who serves the morning breakfast is very professional and hardworking, gives us very deep and good impression!

Review 75:Perhaps if you want somewhere quiet on a weekend night, this is not for you. But we thought the night-life was a positive advantage.

Review 76:Very central, just by the duomo. We stayed on a Saturday night and the squares outside buzzed until midnight with all ages of local 0-100. Very clean and lovely receptionists.

Review 77:Suppose to be 4 star but is more like budget. Room décor and scuffedfurniture. No milk provided for making tea or coffee. Glazing does notstop excess noise from the square disturbing sleep. Pigeons noisilyroosting above window lintol and bird excrement on outer window sill.Inner window sill had residual cigarette ash on it. Cheap disposableplastic glasses and cups (not 4 star at all) Lift was not clean. Cheaplaminated fire escape signs on back of door (not 4 star) Had to fetch aglass of ice for our drinks from the café next door (not 4 star) Lastlythe price (definitely 4 star!!!)

Review 78:Central position in an attractive city. The reception staff werereasonably helpful.

Review 79:Has bars underneath and people stayed there chating up to 4AM. Easily heard from the 1st to the 4th floor.

Review 80:Very central location with public underground parking nearby (get road directions via email to avoid the Limited Traffic Zone), a short walk from the tower and cathedral. Comfortable and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. A good choice if you wish to stay in Cremona.

Review 81:Continental breakfast that day was lacking many thinks that usually belong to a 4 star hotel's. The room sound proofing was poor.

Review 82:Friendly staff. Excellent location. Bed was comfortable.

Review 83:We stayed with our family of six (two adults and four teenaged children)at the hotel for one night--but unfortunately it was a Saturday nightand every Saturday night in Cremona, young people gather at the bar inthe Impero hotel and out in the adjoining plaza that is at the center oftown. The rooms were extremely noisy as loud music was playing in thehotel bar until 2:00 am and people were talking, laughing and shoutingout in the plaza until that time as well. We had two rooms in the hotel:one on the first floor and one on the fourth floor. The noise was verybad on both floors, but the first floor was terrible as the music fromthe bar below reverberated throughout the room--the floor of the roomliterally was shaking from the loud music. The hotel would be awonderful place to stay on any night other than a Saturday night (I amtold that Saturday nights are the nights that the young people gatherand stay out late...not so much on Fridays as the kids in Italy haveschool on Saturday mornings.)

Review 84:The Impero is in the heart of Cremona.

Review 85:We had too much luggage. Remember to travel light in Italy!

Review 86:Loved the location of the hotel. Our room had a small terrace and aviews of the city. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast wasgreat! Such a quaint city. I would go back again!

Review 87:Hotel self-rated as 4 stars--it's really a 3 star hotel. Some noise from people on the square late on Sat. night. Furnishings are worn and need updating.

Review 88:Excellent location in the center of town; room was very clean; staff were helpful and breakfast was good.

Review 89:A very comfortable hotel. Spacious and warm room. Excellent facilities and wonderful breakfast. Very helpful and welcoming reception staff. Would certainly stay in the Impero again - and hope to.

Review 90:We stayed on Tuesday night, and on Wednesday morning the market right outside our window started setting up before 6 in the morning and was very noisy. i think the market also takes place on Saturdays. other nights may be more peaceful.

Review 91:Very central

Review 92:Very comfortable, clean, and pleasantly decorated room overlooking a small piazza,. Great location just a block from the cathedral, and an easy walk from the Stradavarius Museum. A short taxi ride or reasonable walk from the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and featured locally sourced foods and made to order espresso. The area has a wide variety of good restaurants in all price ranges, and lots of shops. The Saturday market surrounded the hotel with colorful stalls selling almost anything imaginable. Altogether a lovely place!

Review 93:As with nearly all city centre hotels reaching it by car is quite a challenge and even the nearby car park is not easy to find as the entrance is not very clearly signed.

Review 94:All you expect from a quality hotel in a beautiful town. The location is perfect with all sites within easy walking distance. Breakfast room large and comfortable with a good buffet.

Review 95:All perfect for our needs.

Review 96:Local, easily accessible parking after a very long and hot drive from Florence en route Milan.Very helpful receptionist who referred us to Restaurant Violino for the best meal we've had in years - service, flavour, presentation and ambience. Arrived for one night St Peter's Day so lots of local colour. Loved the cathedral exterior and enjoyed very much visiting the home of stradivari and Monteverdi -museums too. A perfect stop-over.

Review 97:A little dated. Shower cubicle was in a poor state; ceiling tiles inbathroom broken; extractor fan broken; stains on carpet in bedroom. Nota 4 star. No coffee making facilities in one room.

Review 98:A good breakfast buffet.

Review 99:Excellent location. Walking distance to everything of interest.
