Reviews for Dias
Review 1:The bed was a little saggy, and I'm not a fan of carpets. At night with window open (air conditioning wasn't needed) noise (loud talking) and smoke drifted into room.
Review 2:The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice (best OJ I ever had!). The hostess kindly filled our water bottles for the day. The room was clean, and the furnishings and paintings very engaging.
Review 3:There was not a huge variety of breakfast foods to choose from.
Review 4:The hotel is located very near to the bus station. The room was clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated.
Review 5:I had a really unpleasant experience that I would like to share withpotential guests: when I booked the double room, I really liked thephoto that appeared next to my reservation and I wanted to make surethat this nice bedroom is the one I had booked so I sent my question tothe hotel. A lady whom I later found out that is one of the ownersreplied that I was right as my room is on the third floor, and it'sexactly the one I saw in the photo. She also added that the room isnamed "Aphrodite" (= Venus). However, when I reached the hoteland a man showed us to the room, I realised it was a completelydifferent one. The name of the room was 'Athena' and it wasdarker as it was on the first floor and the furniture was completelydifferent so I told him about the e-mail. He went downstairs to check itand when he came back, he said there was a mistake as the lady who e-mailed me had forgotten to let the rest of the staff know of thereservation so my room was given to sb else the day before. He alsoadded in a rude tone "Don't you ever make mistakes?" So Isaid to him, "yes I do but that's not our problem now. Theproblem is that I booked a wonderful room on the third floor and Iagreed to pay 100 euros for this particular room , not another one thatis darker! Since you or your staff made the mistake, there should be achange in the final price". He got a little angry and he said thatthis is the price policy of his hotel and that other rooms had lowerprices but I doubt it as on booking this was the only price given! Tocut a long story short, I was totally dissatisfied with the wholeexperience. In other hotels that respect their guests, I'm sure Iwould have taken a refund! Last but not least, I will surely not staythere again as I disliked the fact that not once did the owners saysorry or pretend to be sorry for their mistake!
Review 6:The central location and of course the historic importance of thebuilding! Also, the big room and bathroom too.
Review 7:Wifi was iffy. Travelers must insist wifi be state of the art everywhere otherwise the won't go everywhere. Everyone wants to be able to call home wherever that is at anytime for free, hassle free.
Review 8:Great location, fun neighborhood, close to it all but very quiet.
Review 9:*Very old - not all renovated. *Very narrow/steep stairway. Very inconvenient and dangerous. Children and elderly should definitely avoid it!!! *No elevator!!! *When explained to the lady in charge there, that this was dangerous and unacceptable, she denied to cancel the reservation with no cost. She was very rude and, for this only, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. *Simply disappointed. *Cost was no low either for the quality/services provided.
Review 10:Location, not very distant.
Review 11:Room was a bit small but this is because the hotel is a historic building itself!
Review 12:Friendly staff, great central - but quiet - location, decoration and overall room aesthetics.
Review 13:The hotel is very near the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the Palamidi fortress. The staff and facilities are great, especially the showers. You are a short walk from restaurants, bars, landmarks...but not so close as to have your sleep disturbed (too greatly).
Review 14:A loh-ot of stairs Problem in bathroom plumbing (not fixed although I was told so) Averall clean, except room carpet!
Review 15:Perfect Location & Building Comfort Great Breakfast Quiet (only 11 rooms) Quite Clean Has character
Review 16:Acordamos un precio al llegar y al final nos cobraron más. We arranged a final price when we arrived at the hotel, and in the end they didn't respected the agreement.
Review 17:Room was poorly decorated Strong smell from kitchen in the room during breakfast hours The hot items in the breakfast were actually cold
Review 18:Location staff
Review 19:The room booking was for the attic room but we rec'd another room. This should not be happening again for future guests. It is a bit pricey for Greece in general.
Review 20:Location. Breakfast was excellent contrary to what reviewers here have pointed out. Angeliki sorted out for us the room issue with great patience, showing the Greek hospitality that was lacking from her colleague at the desk at the time of checkin.
Review 21:There is no elevator
Review 22:Very friendly staff Good breakfast Splendid location in the old town (quiet but near to the center) This is an old hotel with a character
Review 23:It locates beside the bus station, old town, castle, beach area. Each room owns the Greece fairy name with painting. The breakfast is excellent.

Review 48:Location
Review 49:Location was excellent, with access to everything within walking distance. Great view to the old fortress. Hotel owner was very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable concerning the interesting history of the city.
Review 50:There is a free parking zone near to the hotel, but it's hard to find a place. Anyway, driving in Nafplio is chaotic. Our room was in the 1st floor, no lift.
Review 51:The young staff were very nice, helpful, cheerful. The hotel is located in the old town, near to the castle, the port, the sea, the shopping zone, the restaurants, etc. but it's still very quiet, especially in the first days of November. The breakfast was good.
Review 52:This is friendly and comfortable hotel with helpful owner and staff and nicely decorated rooms [different from the standard Greek hotel room]. I liked that each room is name after a Greek deity rather than having a number. Superb location, a short walk from the old town, overlooked by the castle and very close to the bus station.
Review 53:Nothing. I couldn't have been happier.
Review 54:I can't even begin to express how wonderful the service was here. Dimitra and her mother are two of the kindest people you could ever meet. They went above and beyond ordinary service to help me with a special request. Dimitra also told me a few great places that only locals would know about, and some of the best Greek restaurants I've found on my travels, making my experience both authentic and memorable. I will definitely be back here if I'm ever lucky enough to be back in Nafplio again. It's a truly beautiful town, and the view from the castle is one I will never forget. Side note: I had the breakfast one morning. All home cooked, and really good. I wish I hadn't waited until the last day to try it.
Review 55:Fridge was broken, A/C didn't quite cool the entire room properly
Review 56:Staff was super nice! Room was large, with jacuzzi bath, and homey...very romantic Bed was comfortable, lots of space to lounge around
Review 57:The bathroom was clean but the room (e.g. the furnitures, the carpet) was a bit dusty. The bed it's not so comfortable.
Review 58:Nice location, friendly staff.
Review 59:Bumped my head in a low doorway but that was my fault...
Review 60:Everything. Maria the proprietress was a doll. She practically adopted us. The parking was relatively easy, view from the balcony superb, and it was near the center of town without being noisy. It's excellent!
