Review 1：The hotel is clean and beautiful and located on the lakeshore . The rooms are comfortable , breakfast is delicious and the most important thing is the host , the best person we met in Italy . It was a pleasure. Thanks for everything

Review 2：I love Italy. The people, the food, the climate. It is a wonderful place and I always feel like I am at home. Crotto dei Pescatori is a magical place to visit. From the first minute you arrive Maurizio makes you feel like you have come home. We arrived at 8 pm at night and they had a special dinner with wine pairing. It was wonderful. The food was amazing and the wines were perfectly matched. When we saw the room I couldn’t have asked for more. It was a large room with a double bed and a single for our son. We had a balcony that opened up on the most breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. I can’t wait to go back in summer so I can sleep with the doors open and hear the water lapping under the balcony. Maurizio gave us tips on where to go and what to do and it was on the spot. Here again he told us about the boats we could rent in the summer… Can’t wait to go back. We met a nice couple from Australia while there and again this made me feel as if I was at home. As I write this my heart is so full. I can’t say enough good things. It was perfect.

Review 3：Driving the narrow road to find this place was a little scary at times! But the turn off was well-marked and free parking was easy and available.

Review 18：Great location, very clean room with comfy bed. Good to have air conditioning and a view of the beautiful lake. Our host was very welcoming and charming. We hired a boat from the boat yard next door, which gives you a great view of the lake.

Review 21：The hotel located somewhere really really isolated and difficult to find at night. The staff (or I think the owner) was very strict, it overall made me feel as if I pay money to stay in a school hostel. The main reason choosing here was so we could enjoy the lake como ambience during meal, which the owner shut off the balcony area for breakfast and forced us to sit at a specific table in the gloomy dining room. If it is forbidden then do not put the picture on the hotel' gallery in booking.com please. It dissappoints the visitors.

Review 25：No bad experiences, but important for new visitors to know that the roads in the whole area are narrow with little or no separate footpaths, and the landscape is fairly steep. People with mobility issues may have difficulties.

Review 28：The hotel is right by the lake and our room has a balcony facing the lake, and overlooking a lovely bay. We could park our car right in front of the hotel and it's only 6km from Bellagio. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great and reasonably priced. Our rooms even have a mini bar!!

Review 34：Stayed here for 3 nights. Its a nice and small BnB by lake. We had double room with the view of lake. room was clean, a bit smell of dampness. Room was cleaned everyday and towels changed. Its around 30km from Como by quite narrow road so you def need a car and driving skills as Italians drive pretty fast on this road. Breakfast was very good and variety of food. There is also an amazing restaurant underneath. I couldn't believe how packed it was. It has very good food and pricing. On Sat night we didnt book a table and we almost missed our dinner! I would def stay again and go to this restaurant!

Review 35：Mostly a very good stay. We were not told that we needed to book in the restaurant though and missed out on dinner! Also there is an area to swim in front of the hotel. Not sure whose responsibility it is to care for but it was scruffy and uninviting although swimming in the lake was fab.

All the staff couldn't do enough for you and the restaurant is a great place to eat on an evening with delicious Italian food. Lake clean and great for swimming in nearby. Review 38：Location on the lake was excellent. Although the rooms are small with thin walls and thin door, our stay was nice. Roads to the facility are narrow but seem to be typical for this area.

Review 40：We were only here one day - we should have stayed at least three to explore the lake. Nice getaway after viisiting all the tourist traps. Staff was so accommodating. We ate dinner at the restaurant overlooking the lake - I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a hidden gem.

Area is very quiet, far enough away from the main road a very high plus for the hotel. Had dinner first night, good variety of Italian food, but a bit on a pricey side.

Review 45：-The location is not good for traveller with heavy luggage or travelling by public transportation because the road down to hotel is steep and far. -There is a porch on the first floor where you can enjoy a nice view, but you have to dine in the restaurant of the hotel.

Review 52：We absolutely loved our stay at Locanda La Fornace! Everyone that worked there was so friendly and accommodating, especially Sala, our server for dinner both nights. They were so sweet to our dog and made us feel right at home. It is located directly on Lake Como so you can't get a better view! The rooms are spotless and newly renovated. We highly recommend this hotel.

Review 53：Breakfast was cheap. Not worth paying the extra money to get. We havestayed in many hotels in Italy (most costing less) and this was by farthe worst breakfast provided. Owners didn't like people to sit inthe outside area to enjoy the view. Made a big deal out of the fact thatpeople sat there at night, and in the morning the area was closed. Evensitting next to the window at breakfast to look out was not allowed, aswe were moved across the room into the far corner. Considering there wasonly one other table used for breakfast seemed a bit weird. Theyadvertise the hotel with a photo of an eating area with lovely views ofthe lake, but don't seem to want anyone to use it. Noticed a similarcomment from a previous guest and thought it was a one off, but canconfirm this is a standard thing. Don't stay here if you want toenjoy the views while eating in the restaurant.

Review 55：Unbelievable location and value. You are right on the shore of Lake Como with a beautiful balcony. Views are spectacular. It is located in a very small and quiet town - no noise whatsoever. The food at the restaurant downstairs is very good. Especially recommend the Spaghetti "Taste of the Lake". The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free parking is available at the front door. The room was comfortable and clean.

Review 56：Breakfast limited but typical continental style To make this a superb hotel and to gain from its wonderful water front lake situation it needs a proper paved lake side patio area instead of the rough gravel area it has a present.

We also have dinner and food is reasonable priced, besides you can watch the sunset while eating. Room is good size and clean. The location is quiet and not as busy and touristy as Bellagio which is only 15 mins drive away. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!
