Review 1：Some noise outside. Make sure you are nor overlooking the bar downstairs. After my terrible first night, the manager very kindly transffered to a better room, more quiet. Nice attitude.

Review 13：The helpful, welcoming and friendly staff speaks English and had patience with our non-existent Italian. The location is in the heart of the town and perfect for visiting the museums, churches, theatres and shops and restaurants in Cremona. Parking was easy to find and a reduced rate of 12 euros per 24 hours is offered at the hotel for secure parking. Breakfast was excellent. The buffet had a wide selection of savoury and sweet dishes, hot and cold drinks and catered for special diets. We were upgraded to a spacious room for three on an upper floor that was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Review 14：Just a tiny small problem with overnight reception not understanding English at all, while we needed help to print out our tickets back home, but otherwise a very very helpfull guy!

Review 16：Bathroom not properly clean. We found several hair in the bathtub. Amd the heater was noisy, we had to close it in order to sleep. If you drive, you have to park somewhere in the city, there's no dedicated parking.

Review 20：The receptionist/owner was very welcoming and accommodating (travelling with bicycle). The rooms are excellent, with coffee maker (good coffee) in the room. Bathrooms spacious and well equipped. Fantastic location right in the heart of Cremona. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Review 23：We were given a triple room for the same price as a double. It was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Those small finishing touches (variety of complimentary cosmetics, wifi) were excellent for this price range. Check-out time was very generous.

Review 24：There is no car access at all so luggage has to be wheeled/ carriedlast couple of hundred metres. They do have a parking arrangement butthat is some distance away on foot. If you're staying for just theovernight as we were you can park in the square and just put a couple ofEuros in meter next morning if leaving after 8. The decorators blockingthe corridor as one is leaving!

Review 30：Our room was at the very end of the hall around a corner from the wifi transmitter, so we had to crack the door open to get wifi in our room. But after that the reception was excellent.

Review 31：The location could not be better. The room was comfortable in every way. Best of all, their excellent staff helped us to recover a bag that we left at the train station. A wifi transmitter was on our floor (2nd floor). The breakfast which costs extra was excellent and well worth the price.

Review 32：We loved this hotel. Having stayed earlier in the more expensive and chick Hotel delle Arti we felt we got much better service personal attention at this 3 star hotel. The two managers, Paolo and Augusto, are wonderful. Their employees likewise.

You can' go wrong with the Astoria, it's well positioned, well run and serves the best hotel breakfast I've had in my four weeks of traveling through Europe. The breakfast room service was old school impeccable.

Review 85：The hotel is in the heart of the city. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are not luxurious, but very comfortable. Our room had a balcony which gave us a vignette of Cremona and a place to enjoy an aperitivo. The bathroom was very adequate and the water delicously hot. Breakfast was copious and very good value for money.

Review 86：The location of the hotel could not be better. The staff are extremely helpful, from the moment of booking to check-out. They sent a detailed email with parking advice and directions, advised us on restaurants (with a 10% discount at a very good nearby restaurant), and looked up info for us since the tourist info office was closed. There was also free water available in the mini bar. Breakfast is well worth paying the extra supplement for - homemade quiche, frittata, and many different cakes as well as sausages, eggs, lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, meats, nuts, everything! Even gluten-free section and soya milk for those interested. Uniquely decorated and fantastic staff.

Review 87：My room was a bit small (compared to my two friends rooms) but that is all - it was quite adequate for my needs and not claustrophobic. Could have done with a few more coat hangers - there were only five.

Review 92：Great staff, very friendly and speak most languages between them.Close to City centre, easy walk to Violin museum, San Lorenzo Archeological museum, Civic Museum (Ala Ponzone) Art, Plucked instruments, Natural history. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by. City centre is largely car-free, and pedestrian friendly. Great architecture in every street, and small piazzas dotted around. If you like music try to arrange your trip around at least one performance in the auditorium Giovanni Arvedi at the MuseodelViolino. It is amazing. i'll be coming back here to the Astoria Hotel when I can arrange it

Review 101：The only negative aspects were the room I had was dark and the lighting inadequate. No English language TV stations on the flat screen TV. The biggest annoyance and the only reason I didn't give it a10 rating was the noise level; the hotel sits over a very noisy café that played loud music for hours on the Saturday evening I stayed there, making it impossible to sleep. Otherwise, I would return, maybe during the week or when the café goes out of business!

Review 102：The Hotel Astoria has a lot of extras you won't expect in this price hotel, a lot to like and really only one deterrent. On the very positive side it is an easy 12 minute walk to/from the train station, great location just off the main square, very friendly helpful staff including the owner on site and a very good breakfast with a little of everything including hot eggs/meats/cheese and loads of different sweets for the Italian's morning sweet tooth!. In the lobby is a computer/internet free for clients use, fresh fruit and water both here and in the room frig. plus some fun 3D pictures to view. Rooms are large by European standards and come with an extra pillow, safe, bathroom amenities, a great hairdryer, tea making facilities and even a scale. The evening receptionist asked if she could help with dinner reservations as they offer a 10% coupon off 5 different restaurants in the area. This was a very nice service.

My husband and I were travelling with my sister and the triple room had a separate bedroom. They had umbrellas to use which was helpful due to the rain. They recommended a great restaurant, one of our trip highlights in Europe. Complimentary water and fruit during our stay. Would definitely go back! Great location, walking distance to the violin museum, bow museum, and Stradivari's original workshop!

Review 105：The staff made my stay memorable by coming to my table at breakfast on the final morning of my stay and presenting me with a card and exquisitely wrapped gift for my birthday. I hadn't said a word, they had noticed the date of birth on my passport! That is what I call going the extra mile.

Review 112：Being a historic building, the rooms are small and the walls very thin. That being said, the interior could use a renovation with new beds, paint and decor. It feels like an old Italian two star hotel upstairs but a three star in the lobby. This hotel, with its location, has the potential to be a real gem if they did fix it up. Also, the room our kids stayed in had a funny odor to it, but we did not complain.
