Reviews for Omorfi Poli

Review 1:leaving Nafplio,

Review 2:location was excellent, staff extremely helpfull, rooms clean comfortable, loft room is very comfortable for 4 adults. parking at public port car park is simple

Review 3:No cons. We knew there were stairs to climb. Host helped with our luggage.

Review 4:Big room. High Ceilings. French door with patio. Very clean with good beds. Gracious hosts with delicious breakfast.

Review 5:Location, location, in the town center easy walking and strolling the city. Our hosts were wonderful and a pleasure. We had a mix-up in our booking days and failed to show for our first night, when we arrived the next day they advised us they would not charge us for the missed day. We stayed 3 days and could have stayed longer. The breakfast was fantastic. You must park in the large lot by the waterfront, do not park on the street.

Review 6:The room had only 2 chairs that weren't all that comfortable; awkward for a family of 3 or more.

Review 7:The location was very convenient to old Nafplio; and, with free public parking easy to access. For those wanting to be in the middle of things, the location was perfect - for us, not so much.

Review 8:Beyond the owners' control, a very dilapidated townhouse across the street that spoils the ambiance of the immediate neighborhood.

Review 9:Charming, colorful pension with ground-floor cafe located in a pedestrian zone of Nafplio's historic center close to the sea and seaside restaurants. Large, high-ceiling rooms updated with modern, very clean, and spacious bathrooms. Our second-storey room included a balcony and two large shuttered windows offering lots of light. This family-operated establishment provides a warm welcome, and includes a superb breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, warm rolls and bread, a nice selection of fruits, and scrumptuous Greek yoghurt with honey drizzle. The hostess is charming, friendly, and has a keen sense of design. Clearly, she has traveled abroad, returning to her pension with innovative ideas for the comfort and delight of her visitors. She offers excellent advice on authentic Greek restaurants in the neighborhood.

Review 10:This hotel is friendly and welcoming, it is spotlessly clean, newly decorated in beautiful colours. The breakfast for an extra €6 is wonderful with extras of homemade jam, fresh fruit and really good coffee You are right in the heart of the Old town, with free parking, nearby. It is a 'must stay there'.

Review 11:A very elegant and comfortable hotel, the room was well designed and spotless. The staff in reception spoke several languages and were very helpful. Highly recommended

Review 12:Slight smell near bathroom that I believe is a general problem in some parts of Greece. Main bed was uncomfortable.

Review 13:Great location and accommodation was big enough for 4 people and suitcases. Bottle of water in bar fridge provided. Breakfast in hotel cafe was great as was the ambience.

Review 14:Nafplio was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We spent 10 days there and loved every minute. We loved the town itself, especially the old pedestrian area, the many excellent restaurants, the ancient forts, and the seaside walks to the beaches. We used the public bus for excursions to Mykenea and the Epidavros Theater. We took the Pegasus Crouse to Hydra and Captain Aris's sailboat outing. All fabulous. Pension Omorfi Poli was wonderful. The location was excellent, within the old town but not far from the bus station, at the center of all of the action. We had a beautiful, spacious, airy room. The owner Ute was a wonderful hostess. Her breakfasts were fabulous, way beyond what we expected.

Review 15:There is no electric jar for making coffee or tea, the space of the shower case is very small

Review 16:Location very good, staff and owner very friendly

Review 17:Nafplion is a lovely place to visit and Omorfi Poli made our stay there even more enjoyable. The accommodation was very clean and beautiful and suited our family of 5 ranging in ages from 13 to 78. Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating and their dog Larry was so friendly - we were able to take him a for a walk which helped with us missing our own pet! We highly recommend staying at Omorfi Poli - situated in the old town it is walking distance to many of the gorgeous stores and eateries and the impressive Palamidi Fortress - do not hesitate to book.

Review 18:Beautiful house with a nice café and flowers on the outside, and a nice big family suite (We were 6). Friendly and very helpful hosts. Very nice location in the old town, close to the sea and beautiful streets and old town houses

Review 19:A bit noisy location, but that's what you get if you want to stay in the heart of old town.

Review 20:Great location, beautiful small house, family room very functional compared to its size. Very friendly staff speaking multiple languages.

Review 21:Although I see it plainly now, in the description, I hadn't realized at the time that the breakfast wasn't included in the room charge.

Review 22:Proprietor and staff were most helpful and considerate. Clean and comfortable. Excellent location in the heart of Nafplio. Excellent Breakfast. Fully useful Wifi.

Review 23:The location is perfect to explore Nafplio and surrounded by lots of restaurants and bars. The building is really nice and looks like it was renovated recently. From what we saw, every room was different and special in its own way. We received a nice breakfast and the hosts were really friendly!

Review 24:Friendly, clean and comfortable with good facilities. Generous breakfasts, a relaxed bar with light food available throughout the day and a great studio room for families with small children.

Review 25:Our only complaint would be the balcony which was unusable due to it's small size and the fact that it overlooked a hot, sunny, ugly back alley. We booked a room with a balcony because we actually wanted to use the balcony and were quite disappointed, although the cafe made up for it a bit. My suggestion would be to indicate in the room's description that the balcony is unusable.

Review 26:The Omorfi Poli is a pretty hotel with a charming attached cafe. We very much enjoyed eating breakfast at one of the outdoor tables. The location was ideal, within walking distance of the port and other locations of interest. Possibly one of the largest and prettiest bathrooms of any hotels we have used in Greece. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 27:Location, decoration and cleanliness all tip-top. Room in attic with private terrace, fine for us little people but if you're above average size, choose a different room.

Review 28:We LOVED everything!!! Ute is a friendly person, helpful and kind. The location is excellent, close to the water, close to the boutiques, historic town, to the best restaurants. Can't beat the location. The suite was VERY roomy, with 5 beds and the loft. Can't wait to come back to Napflio again and make sure to sleep here at Omorfi Poli. Thanks for making our 3 days little trip very enjoyable and unforgettable.

Review 29:Owner was not very customer friendly - implied air conditioning remote was broken and the smell coming from the room were the guests' fault.

Review 30:Great location, very spacious room, clean. Would stay again.

Review 31:Amazing location, very good layout for children. Really lovely host, who detailed what we could do and where to go! Would recommend to others with 3 children aged (5,8 and 10).

Review 32:Slightly strange that owner wouldn't let us buy coffee downstairs in the cafe at 4.50pm as they didn't open until 5 even though we were hotel guests but not a big deal really!

Review 33:Lovely location Really comfy bed Decoration clearly quite new and very well done to a high standard Useful to have a fridge

Review 34:My only suggestion... The attic room has tiny stairs so older people, people with disabilities or people with lot of luggage should book a room on the floors below.it was fine with me since I was travelling alone with not much luggage.

Review 35:Ute the owner was wonderful and very helpful... the breakfast is great. You have a bistro on the ground floor and the location is apt for transport and sight seeing. The attic room is so quaint with a roof window and a small terrace.

Review 36:Beautifully renovated with soft colors and modern window treatments. the overall effect soothing and calm. New bathrooms, windows, floors, bedding. Everything new and gorgeous. Close to the shopping we love, the food we love and the proximity the archeological sites we wished to visit.

Review 37:Split level wasn't very big, ie my son was too tall (he is 11 and tall) so had to duck whenever he went up to bed, not a big deal just worth noting.

Review 38:So clean!!! Located in a gorgeous part of town. Walking to tavernas, the waterfront, mini marts, supermarket. Friendly, helpful staff. Great bathroom and shower. We didn't have breakfast included but ate here everyday as it was great value.

Review 39:Nothing

Review 40:Great location in a beautiful town. Rooms were large with good sized showers. The cafe downstairs does good omelettes and the owners recommendations for eating out were excellent.

Review 41:Everything about the room seems new and spotlessly clean. A minimalist and serene envrionment beautifully restored from an old house. Loved the high ceiling and tall windows. Location was great as it's in the midst of town right opposite the folklore museum.

Review 42:Good spot in the Old Town. We had a room in back, which was quiet. Convenient location so you can roam the street, return to the room for a rest, then go out again. No car needed once you get here.

Review 43:The bathroom was small but nice and new. (only in some rooms so next time the lady promised us to have a bigger room). there are stairs but this is typical to Nafplio old town hotels.

Review 44:Very liable hotel, clean, pleasent, safe, in the best location in Nafplio, close to all the shops and good restaurants and near the big parking place. A few minutes ride to a really wonderful beach.

Review 45:The hotel was quaint, clean and comfortable. Very excellent for price. Newly remodeled and very well done! Walk and explore the winding, beautiful streets/markets just out the door. Amazing stay. Would certainly stay there again!

Review 46:We were greeted warmly and efficiently. Shown to our great room which was clean and well equipped. The family had lots of space and being close to the centre of the town meant we'd definitely stop off there again!

Review 47:We cannot recommend this place enough. Great location. Clean pretty place. We liked the location in reference the parking spot. It was quiet but close to the happening areas. We stayed in the attic room which was awesome. It had a terrace. The stairs up there are a little bit of a workout but worth it.

Review 48:Was a very nice place in the heart of the historic town, easy to go in every point of Nafplio in a calm area, friendly people, restored and clean place, value for money !

Review 49:Just the narrow staircase which is not so bad after all!

Review 50:We booked the attic and though you need to make it through a narrow and steep staircase, you are so rewarded when you open the door. It's a lovely room, newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. Large double bed, the cutest bathroom and so quiet! The location of the hotel is excellent. In the old town of Nauplio, you are seconds away from restaurants, cafes, seaside walks etc. The lady in the reception was so kind! It's a value for money choice. I would definately rebook!

Review 51:I liked everything

Review 52:Very nice and charming hotel. Spacious room, fast Wi-Fi and very pleasant hotelkeepers. Location is perfect. Breakfeast was very tasty and well served.

Review 53:This is a great option for families. Charming location in old town and walking distance to shops restaurants and attractions. Rooms have been recently renovated and are spotless.

Review 54:We stayed in a quiet double room facing the courtyard off Sofroni street. The hotel is a lovingly restored old town house with wooden floors and high, shuttered windows and a restaurant/bar on the ground floor, where guests can also have their breakfast. I liked the small lounge/living room on the first floor where there is also a bookshelf for guests to exchange their travel literature. Breakfast then was a combination of continental style with a Greek touch, meaning freshly squeezed orange juice, Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. The home made marmalade was the real treat, however. The owners and other members of staff were consistently friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable. Finally, the location just on the edge of the Old Town is ideal in every respect: all the sights are within easy walking distance, so is Arvanitia beach. A Carrefour supermarket and the coach station are literally around the corner.

Review 55:How short my stay was...

Review 56:It's a small, family run hotel, but it has all the comfort you would need for a stay in Nafplio. Very centrally located, with no problem finding it, we were very warmly welcomed on our very early arrival and allowed to leave our luggage downstairs before our check in time and after the check out on the day that we were leaving. The room itself is comfortable, air-conditioned and spotlessly clean, with a complimentary large bottle of water. Breakfast is well worth getting and comes with freshly squeezed orange juice. There is a computer near the reception which is free to use for the hotel guests.

Review 57:An excellent place to spend some time in one of the most amazing places to visit. Situated in the center of Nafplio this place is just perfect for a nice vacation in beautifully decorated rooms and extraordinarily charming neighborhood. Only a 5 minute walk from your room will get your to dozen of places where you can enjoy anything from great food and drinks to nice designer shops. I highly recommend it to everyone. ;-)

Review 58:Excellent location - 100 yds from large free carpark. Family room (Athina) was really spacious - 2 rooms in fact, with a shared balcony. Beautiful old part of town and very scenic. Air-conditioning was amazing - we were there in August. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Review 59:As with all locations in Summer months - need for air conditioning but noisy - not a fault with hotel

Review 60:Friendly staff Good location Close to large port car park Fabulous breakfast Large room for 4 - comfortable

Review 61:Wonderful location with an AC and Wifi. We sat on the balcony one night with wine and watched the activity below and had a great time. Our whole family was able to be together in a large comfortable room. We were even spoiled at breakfast! So glad we didn’t miss Nafplio and this room helped make it so enjoyable.

Review 62:nothing, it was perfect!

Review 63:everything but owners´ kindness and the wonderful breakfast should be highlighted!!

Review 64:One toilet in the bath was a bit just for a family of 5, but then again, it is not a major inconvenience.
