Review 1：Clearly built to be a luxury hotel, it's now shabby and seemingly run on a shoestring. Everything's worn out - from towels to fruit juice machine. And the food in the (beautiful) restaurant shockingly bad. A shame.

Review 3：San Filippo is placed very beautifully with fantastic wiev but nobody seems to care about the place, everything looks tired: pools, terrazes, flowers, breakfastbuffet, dinner and staff.

Review 16：The stunning location with easy driving access to nearby Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. I hired a car from Florence and it took about an hour to reach the villa and it is easy to find. The staff were very helpful. Great breakfast and evening meals with 4 courses. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice swimming pool available.

Review 17：Bar stock limited (no tonic water). Wine not by the glass, only by the bottle. Only limited view from our room.

Review 18：We booked a superior double room was really spacious with a lounge and kitchen area, big bedroom and really comfortable bed. The breakfast was adequate and evening meals really good local food, Excellent help from receptionist and waiter Roberto to find our way around the fantastic countryside.The views of the countryside were spectacular and the location really peacefull, Hotel itself very quiet, informal and relaxing.

Review 19：Restaurant not open until April 25th. Very inconvenient as little else available locally. We struggled to get something to eat after arriving at 9.30pm. Hotel seemed to be very quiet and run by skeleton staff (who were good)

Review 25：San Fillipo is very clean and comfortable, towels and linen changed often. The gardener does an excellent job of keeping the outside looking very neat and tidy everywhere. The location is very central to all the major places of interest, e.g. Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra and the not to be missed mountain villages of Monteriggioni and San Gimignano!!

Review 27：I am a very demanding person and the fact that I choose"excellent" for all your rubrics is due to the fact that Ifound them really excellent. The place is superb, in the middle of thenature, very quiet and still only a minute or two from the road leadingto all the beautiful places in Tuscany. Siena is less than 30 minutesaway, so is San Gimignano. Voltera, Monteregioni and even Pisa (one hourand 20 minutes) are easy to reach. We were two families (4 persons) andchoose an apartment with two bedrooms everyone with en suite bath and avery large living room. And a large balcony (also the name of theapartment) with a superb view. The beds were king size with orthopedicmattress (one of them even with electronic commanded vibro-massage!).The baths were very well equipped and functioning and a smallkichinette. All of the rooms individually air-conditioned! Plenty ofaccessories, extra pillows, covers, etc… Very, very clean. The people ofthe reception were extremely friendly and I want to thank again toMarcella for all the help she gave to us. From suggesting the trips,recommending delicious restaurants, to give us all the answers we needduring our stay.

Review 28：Some sort of bike hire or hotel shuttle service would be useful for persons staying at the hotel without a car.

Review 29：Great friendly service from all members of the staff who were always happy to assist with any and all enquiries. Clean, airy and spacious rooms with stunning views. Delicious food.

Review 30：The breakfast food was very average. The restaurant for dinner was veryexpensive especially for kids and because the breakfast was average wenever felt inclined to eat dinner there. Lots of other fantastic placesto eat close by so did not really bother us. Towels for the pool are anextra 5 Euro each. That was surprising and internet is also extra. Theseseemed silly extra charges.

Review 31：We traveled as a family of 5 with kids ranging from 13 to 5. The 2bedroom suite we stayed in was fantastic as it was so roomy and clean.Views were absolutely breathtaking. It was a great location betweenFlorence and Sienna and close for other day trips to Gimmigano and Pisa.At the end of a hot day it was perfect to come home and spend time inthe pool. The pools are big and very clean and again you enjoy thebeautiful view. There is lots of space to spread out and enjoy sun orshade if needed. The near by little town has a couple of amazingrestaurants with views that are out of a movie. We all loved our stay.

Review 32：If this hotel defined itself as 4 stars hotel, let me say how we weredisappointed about it services. First of all, the air condition in ourroom wasn't working (so as other guests in the hotel,that later we foundout). The management found a lot of excuses not to deal with the problemsuch as "try to open the window first". Only in the last night theysuggested us to move to a room where the air condition is ok. Seem veryfishy. Also from 4 stars hotel you except to bring a new soap one's itfinished. Be sure that we won't recommend this hotel.

Review 33：It has lots of improvement areas. With all those might be a real 4 star. The staff say they are overworked. We had a room in which we could hear the neighbor even whispering and he could hear us as well. The closet shelf was broken and not fixed since long. The breakfast all days the same.

Review 37：In two words: very disappointing.We got a room on the first floor, next to a noisy room. only simple wood door was separating between the two rooms. we heard everything from the other side. (usually its a 6 people room) Only after more than an hour - they gave us another room. it was after 9 pm. The breakfast is very simple. from a fancy 4 star hotel you shold expect just a little bit more (we stayed at 10 different hotels in Italy during our vacation 2,3,4 star hotels - so we know what to compare to). The price is too high. later on we found some great places in Tuscany area that were more value for the money
