Reviews for Hotel Mare
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:The outside pool and the loungers surrounding it were amazing as was the access to the beach and the bay area. Stunning view from our balcony. Agropoli is a delight for food, culture and atmosphere. The staff were wonderful (especially food recommendations), wifi was great (stretched to the pool). A delight!
Review 3:The breakfast room and restaurant lack charm, and the breakfast itselfis pretty poor. Coffee was really dissapointing, especially since thisis italy we are talking about. At the front desk they claimed there wasfree Wifi all over the hotel, but we couldn't pick up the signal inour room. It worked rather well in the reception area.
Review 4:Good location, very close to the main boardwalk with shops, restaurants, pubs, and a lovely stretch of beach. The hotel has a nice pool, whichwas surprisingly quiet all day long. Great views over the sea when youhave a room in the back (as we did).
Review 5:Bright spacious room with large balcony giving views of the swimming pool, the sea and the old town across the bay. Very good breakfast and very helpful staff.
Review 6:Bed quite hard and the lack of a price list for any food or beverages. Difficult to get to Agropoli from Rome. Took 6 hours by train from Ro.me..
Review 7:The view from our room was amazing by day and night. We had 4 nights and 4 sunsets. The bathroom was updated with large shower toilet, bidet. And sink.
Review 8:Our room smelled like smoke at the beginning, although we had booked a non-smoking room
Review 9:Sea-view room was great very nice and clean swimming pool direct access to the sea good breakfast walking distance to Agropoli center nice and helpful staff
Review 10:The beach could of been cleaner.
Review 11:I loved the location and the view was simple amazing. The staff was helpful and very nice. I also loved the dogs as I was missing my dog.
Review 12:Just wish our sheets were changed every 2 days (we stayed 5 days) as we had an infant with us and she spewed milk on the sheets.. We didn't ask though, so maybe if we did the might have changed it..
Review 13:We come to Agropoli every year to be close to family for the Italian summer, this year we decided to stay in a hotel to have a bit of our own space and the staff were awesome making our stay so relaxing, the wifi wasn't the best but still worked at certain points in the room and the view we had over the sea / bay & of the castle was priceless.. We loved it !!
Review 14:Friendlyness, pool opening hours, garden, sunset view
Review 15:Lack of a la carte menu
Review 16:Excellent mid priced hotel. Ideal location to visit the attractive town
Review 17:View over water and beach. Clean, modern pool. Quiet and off the main street in a busy tourist town. Parking on site.
Review 18:Staff went over and beyond to help us out, We would go back no problem
Review 19:only sweet breakfast - nearly all in small packages.
Review 20:Beatifull views over the sea - from a big balcony.
Review 21:Amazing lunch! We got to try all the local dishes made fresh by the hotel chef. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The location is beautiful. I would definitely go back.
Review 22:Room was pretty basic with a bathroom door that stuck and grated at the bottom. The wardrobe was unstable and felt as if it would fall over. Poor quality finish overall. Surprise the hotel pool facilities were being upgraded and work noise all day.
Review 23:Position in Agropolis was good. Good view of the town and the sea with sunrise highlighting the old town. Sunset view excellent. Staff were very helpful.
Review 24:Breakfast was basic & poor. Unfortunately, the table cloths were not renewed. Inadequate hygene for this type/standard of hotel. eg. ants on breakfast table, hairs on bathroom floor.
Review 25:Location Room view
Review 26:Nice Hotel location next to the beach. All staff from the front desk, kitchen staff and the room attendants were very friendly. Went out oftheir way to give directions to point of interest. Will stay here again.
Review 27:The room was so good and the staff very friendly so nothing to be negative about.
Review 28:Super location with private access to the public beach. Swimming pool area is nice and plenty of beds. The room was very modern but we stayed in one of the 3 rooms which are seperate on the grounds from the main hotel so dont know what the main rooms are like. Great location and very easy to find. The staff where very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had the normal choice but all fresh. If you are planning on eating out, take time to research the restaurants in the town as there are very few on the Sea Front. Just ice cream bar after ice cream bar.
Review 29:This seems silly, but. Do not disturb , don't clean room signs would be helpful.
Review 30:A beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Pool, beach both wonderful. We were off season so, no buffet. But always 2 choices of appetizer, entree. No matter what we ordered , it was amazing. And always a special touch. They remember ... You drink white wine, you want bread with balsamic etc.... And our waiter always knew what we preferred for dessert! Highly recommend !!
Review 31:This is not a good hotel. There is no management, staff very unfriendly. The breakfast is very poor.
Review 32:The hotel is near the old historic center of Agropoli.
Review 33:Nice village not spoiled by tourist masses, at least not in early June. Long sandy beaches, nice restaurants. Nice view of the Mediterranean from the balcony. Quiet room as the hotel is 50 metres off the main street. Staff was helpful when finding restaurants and other places of interest.
Review 34:Towels were very rough. They need a clothes dryer and some softener. Rooms are adequate but could use some updating.
Review 35:Food was good, location was great, staff was more than accommodating. They tried really hard to make our stay as wonderful as their town. We definitely would come back.
Review 36:A bit dated, but price was right.
Review 37:Location is perfect. Staff greeted us with capucino, sandwiches and wine. They tried very hard to make us welcome and to meet our every request,
Review 38:The pool area was nice, the drinks were cheap and the staff very friendly. It was also a very interesting area.
