Reviews for La Posta Vecchia Hotel

Review 1:Service was fabulous from the staff greeting upon arrival until our departure. Rome's Fiumicino airport was only 27 minutes away which makes this an ideal hotel for your first or last night(s) of an Italy trip. Food quality and service in Cesar was exceptional, both dinner and the breakfast buffet.

Review 2:Start to finish ,excellent . The tasting menu fantastic value ,rooms beyond luxury. Discovered their museum this visit ! no need for you to go to Rome !!.

Review 3:Beyond the gates are the busy-ness and traffic gridlock of coastal resorts. Best to stay in the oasis, but it means there is not much else to do. It is expensive. Do not even think of adding to your bill with, say, a luxurious massage, or you will be bankrupted!

Review 4:This is a stunning place. Formerly John Paul Getty's house by the sea, in a historic spot on the coast. So long as you stay in the house and look out to sea, use the pool or swim in the fabulous sea, you will have a fabulous time. Don't try to go anywhere else! It is a wonderful oasis. But I would recommend simply a wonderful short stay, not a lengthy period. Drink the wonderful place in, and make the most of what it offers. It is very very beautiful.

Review 5:A beautiful villa, wonderful staff, and an upgrade to the J.Paul Getty suite! Large enough to jog in! Views from all windows, waves crashing all day and night, lounging in the stupendous room - incredible!

Review 6:Only the things you had no controle not over. We are not fans of Michelin star dining

Review 28:Leaving at the end of our stay

Review 29:The whole stay was perfect . Setting, food, staff, I couldn't fault a single thing. It was magic.

Review 30:We traveled from Australia, what a wonderful surprise. Fantastic. Highly recommended.

Review 31:Hospitality and professionalism

Review 32:It was hard to believe the restaurant had a michelin star -our dinners were not first rate.

Review 33:friendly staff, the garden and ruins and the marvellous pianist!Breakfast was excellent.

Review 34:Smoking is allowed outside, that's the law. But we found it intrusive on the terrace (adjacent to the indoor pool). There's no way to escape - and one client smoked cigars all afternoon. I would like the hotel management to consider creating non-smoking areas in this rather confined space - it limited our enjoyment of spending the afternoon by the pool.

Review 35:The level of personal service from the staff was exceptional, even from a 5* luxury hotel. This included being greeted at the entrance to the hotel by the front desk person - and this was standard for all arriving guests, it seemed. The terrace for the dining room and for drinks/apero hour is magical - beautiful views over the sea, this would be a perfect wedding or honeymoon spot. The restaurant has a Michelin star and is excellent. Staff's english language skills are perfect, and there was no arrogance from anyone, a tribute to the management of the hotel. (In particular, I single out the knowledgable sommelier - who told us very modestly he'd been sommelier since 2009. It was a delight. It's not inexpensive, but the hotel does not nickel&dime its clients - complimentary minibar (for non-alcoholic drinks), a complimentary facial in the Spa, free use of the hotel's sea kayaks (magnificent) and free Wi-Fi (not yet customary in Italy). The hotel treated us extremely well. We liked the fact that this is a place to come to relax and repose. (this hotel is a destination, it's a few kilometres from Ladispoli).
