Reviews for Hotel Villa Margherita
Review 1:free parking is a premium at this location. there is not lot and you have to park on the street.
Review 2:very closetothe sea. excellent price for the location
Review 3:I can say that breakfast it can be a little more diverse.
Review 4:We where very pleased about the staff there, , the waiter Gabriel was so kind in helping us finding locations, trains to Rome and metro , and it wasn't a day that he had not asked us if there is something else to help and need during our vacation. I will strongly recomand this location to anyone who want's a peacefull vacation near the sea and also looks to be near Rome and visite all the turist atraction there(45minutes by train).
Review 5:Excellent breakfast, where you can even choose a raise and cook it. Very good location, close to centum and the beach and at the same time is a little hiding, on a side road. Sweet and helpful staffs. A great place for the price.
Review 6:- NOTE: hotel description & photos are inaccurate. Rooms do not look like photos! - quality is 1-star, not 3-star - hotel is in an extremely noisy neighbourhood. Music plays very loudly from restaurants/night-clubs every evening until 1am. - no aircon & no fan! Have to sleep with windows open & outside is very noisy. You will get NO SLEEP! - we booked for 8 nights but left after 2 because it was so bad :-( - bedrooms & bathrooms small & out-dated - no safe, no fridge, no hair dryer - shower cubicle falling apart - hot water switches between hot and cold all the time, making taking a shower impossible - the lifts are tiny and slow - wifi only by reception (not in rooms or relaxing areas) - guests are mostly old people (70+) - the older Italian lady (dark hair) at reception is neurotic - beware! - Hotel Miramare is much nicer & same price. It's a proper 3 star hotel with safe & fridge in room, private beach and nice staff! Definitely stay there instead :-)
Review 7:+ The Italian lady with blonde hair (manager) is very nice & helpful + easy to get to train station (10 mins walk), regular trains to Rome + hotel cafe next door is nice + indoor private gardens are beautiful
Review 8:Very drab, although clean. Great as a cheap stop on the way to the airport.
Review 9:Very close to the beach, on the main thoroughfare. Easy ride to the airport.
Review 10:We missed fridge possibilities in the room. The cleaning of plates and cup indicated that the washing machine was a bit inefficient. We had a room without balcony and the last day we found out that there were rooms with balcony. Pls check when you check in.
Review 11:The breakfast in the garden was fantastic. You had direct access to the city and the beach where you could make long nice walks. The pool was great and the staff did always try to help you.
Review 12:Location, room, courtesy and helpfulness of personnel
Review 13:Wifi only in the lobby
Review 14:Friendly, attentive people. Used it as a base for exploring Rome and Lazio given the €3.60 trainticket to the city.
Review 15:It would have been nice to have fridge in summer time.
Review 16:Location is perfect, near the beach, retaurants many different were good. Hotel restaurant with it`s staff worked very well and they were helpful.
Review 17:it is beach hotel, it was 32 ºC but the AC is not included in the fee. You need to pay about €10 extra per day, which is an extra 16% per day to have AC. I found it a excess for that price and the fact that a hotel of €60 per night did not include AC. That I found very poor of the service. We requested a high chair for our 5 months baby and we got it but it was very very very dirty. It had something that looked that puke from another baby and it was black of dirty on some places. Definitively not where you want to put your baby. That was very careless from them. The breakfast was OK but far from impressive. You also need to pay extra for internet at a rate of about €3 perl hour. Overall, I have stayed in cheaper hotel with better breakfast, cleaner facilities, AC and internet included.
Review 18:Asked for a quiet room and given the one above the kitchen!! Woken up every morning at 6:30AM by the quarrels of preparing the breakfast and at midnight by dish washing noise! Shared the hallway with 20 screaming school kids and tried to sleep through a birthday party next door! If not enough, was asked to check out and leave before 9AM, one hour sooner than my booking indicated and 8 hours before the check in time!!!
Review 19:Good Breakfast, very close to crystal clear beaches and local restaurants.
Review 20:Stayed there late June, the sun did not reach the pool until lunchtime, this could be different at other times of the year
Review 21:Excellent staff, very helpful. Good position for everything, comfortable
Review 22:We stayed here just one night. Flew into Rome and were heading north the next day. My girls (5 and 8) loved playing in the sea after dinner and would have loved to stay another couple days. Was a cute little town, but we didn't get to explore much.
Review 23:I only stayed in this hotel for one night after a late arrival at Rome as I was heading up the coast. It's only about 30 minutes from the airport, nearly on the beach and close to the town centre. The room was big, the pool was small but open, the breakfast was great and even the school parties didn't keep me awake. Parking outside was free and there were lots of places to eat and drink nearby.
