Reviews for Hotel Villa Völgy Wellness & Konferencia

Review 1:unfriendly staff, looks like people are afraid to say good morning to foreigners. When we left on daily basis hotel we didn't even bother to say goodbye or good morning no more as reception people did not say a word back. in our room we had no bath ropes for the sauna parking cost 4 euros per night. why?

Review 2:facilities, modern look of building nice bar excelent breakfast buffet

Review 3:We have mixed feelings. Be aware that only a part of the hotel is rated four stars. Pay attention to it while booking. We ended up in the three star room in the attic and without a balcony. The swimming polls could be more clean. Some of the fountains did not work. The 'wellness' offers only massages. Some of the saunas did not work. The staff friendly, but not very proactive. We expected more information about the attractions of the region.

Review 4:The hotel has a lovely garden, swimming facilities and great kitchen (food was excellent and the waiters very nice!). It is very close to the valley with wine cellars.

Review 5:Staff undertrained, not capable of coping with any problems arising. Unclean toilet upon arrival, pile of heir on the bedsheets.

Review 6:The area awhere the hotel is located is superb, very nice welness and fitness area. Superb massage services!

Review 7:The wifi didn't work the entire time. We could not get it to connect.

Review 8:Location is great. Close to everything and withIn walking distance. The staff was very helpful.

Review 9:WIFI was not working in my room. Maybe it was too far away from the router. Also you need to pay an extra 1200 HUF per night for using the private parking inside the garden. It would be fair to price it into the room rate.

Review 10:The hotel lies in a quiet neighbourhood close to the vinecells of Szépasszonyvölgy. Also the hotel is surrounded by vineyards on the hills. There is a huge outdoor pool with a bar and there are good saunas and steam bath and an indoor swimming pool. There was lactose free milk at the breakfast.

Review 11:We enjoyed the room and the restaurant with the beautiful summer garden. As well as the 2 beautiful cats. Also the waiter was nice - he tried even to tell us a few words in Romanian.

Review 12:No drinking water in the spa. I tried to buy a bottle at the reception, but the lady was doing the massage, I tried to drink from the tap in the bathroom, but only hot water was available. Shame. No sparkling vine in the restaurant. Really, not even one bottle. Shame. No juice for the breakfast.

Review 13:Room was OK, good location for relax, out of the town, very peaceful.

Review 14:The bad made of two mattresses; the breakfast; maybe in the beginning, when it was established it could've been rated to 4 stars; but under the nowadays EU standards it 's maximum 3 stars and definitely the value for money it's bad. It simply does not worth that price, it should be at least 20 EUR less, as I am forced to repeat myself, it is NOT 4 stars overthere :(.

Review 15:The Staff; the Location.

Review 18:wedding in the garden, cannot sleep all the night Furniture of the room really cheap, not adequate for a 4 stars Rumors form the toilet all the night It's aspire to seem a 4 stars but it's 3 star hotel. Breakfast, poor and typical hungarian.

Review 19:Real nice property and nice surround area

Review 20:Booking was problematic, first confirmed, then rejected under spurious circumstances, no answer to emails, language problems on the phone when I tried to resolve issue. After many attempts on my part booking was eventually confirmed. Safe in our suite, which was just one large room, broken and not repaired during our stay. Due to absence of shower curtain having a shower was not easy. Few cups and mostly soup bowls for tea and coffee at breakfast. Restaurant staff with few exceptions seemed barely competent or interested.

Review 21:Location, peace and quiet, gardens, indoor wellness facilities

Review 22:Small room (triple room 25m was difficult...).

Review 23:Great place, few separate buildings surrounded by old park creating quite atmosphere. Very comfort and easy going place with small but nice swimming pools great for kids. Close to the city but completely separated from the traffic. Valley of the Beautiful Woman with number of local winery 5min walk.

Review 24:Wifi access complicated and unreliable. Pretty much everything else was acceptable.

Review 25:Nice location, a short walk from Valley of Beautiful Women (although there were none, really) and good restaurants. Spa facilities are not bad, but too crowded. Good massage.

Review 26:The hotel stuff could be more friendly and helpful. You're not there to spoil their day but to enjoy your holiday. There is nice pool bar but no bartender as the water is freezing cold. And having no proper window in the suite was not really a pleasant surprise.

Review 27:The hotel is clean and around the city of Eger you'll find a plenty of interesting things to do.

Review 28:Bathroom clean but pretty ugly and ordinary. I was expected something better for 4stars hotel. Sauna could be open a bit longer

Review 29:Very clean and comfortable hotel, with saunas and pools. Breakfast good and tasty. Really close to cellars!

Review 30:Unpolite, a bit apathetic staff in the restorant, law quality buffet table, diluted orange juice.

Review 31:In a beautiful environment, well equipped hotel.

Review 32:toilet didn't work, had to move to another room, seems to have less staff than enough

Review 33:buildings are well-designed, great spa, good breakfast

Review 34:Loved the pools and we were close to the Szepasszony Valley and all the wine cellars, so we could walk.

Review 35:room without balcony..

Review 36:Friendly staff, wellness

Review 37:Smell in the bathroom

Review 38:The room card losed function 5 times in 2 days!

Review 39:A bejáratot elállják az ingyenparkoló kocsik, mintha egy gk temetőbe érkeznél

Review 40:Komfortos, felújított szobák.

Review 41:No balcony, during winter time it could be embarrassing to walk to the wellness building from the room.

Review 42:Silent, fresh air, nice environment.

Review 43:A wifi kicsit lassu volt.

Review 44:A masszor fiu nagyon kedves es segitokesz volt. Szep kornyezett!

Review 45:Spa and pool area close at 8 pm.

Review 46:Breakfast, sauna, staff, location of the hotel

Review 47:In building 6. our room was 2-3 stars, definitely not 4 stars. Rooms in building 1. were nice.

Review 48:Good location, nice park, wellness

Review 49:Thin walls. Shower only on the top, not removabale.

Review 50:Quiet good location a few minutes outside the city. Very green.

Review 51:Cats at reception area.Cold scrambled eggs when breakfast.

Review 52:Staff is really friendly.

Review 53:The bed was too soft!

Review 54:The breakfast, the massage

Review 55:The cleanliness of the whole hotel is blameless. The room temperature was perfect warm. The staff is nice and helpful.

Review 56:Very poor dinner in restaurant, cold food and seem like not fresh...

Review 57:Rather cold (outside) pool

Review 58:Surroundings

Review 59:Few pools were closed due to renovations and electrical fault in our room, but that was quickly rectified as they moved us to another room

Review 60:The staff were very helpful and the pools were very nice. Also we were very happy as we were upgraded on our room to one with air-conditioning and balcony

Review 61:Brits may be a bit challenged by some of the restaurant menu items, not much red meat for example. Also the huge size of the portions, not a complaint- but an observation.

Review 62:Very friendly, helpful staff both in reception and restaurants. Good breakfasts with lots of choice but not a varied enough restaurant menu. Good wines and beers.Beautifully kept grounds. Our balcony room was a good size and very clean and modern. We organised the trip ourselves, from England for birdwatching and Eger was a good base for our activities. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Review 63:We had a lot of issues with booking the place and was very disappointed when they said all facilities will be open, yet the outside was closed and under construction, we paid twice the price to change our weekend specifically for these facilities, then when we arrived our beds were 2 single beds put together with single sheets that didn't fit us, really uncomfortable, and when we asked for at least double bed sheets they had none. The rooms weren't cleaned properly and towels weren't stocked. Expected much more from a hotel of this rating

Review 64:The place had a lot of potential, very clean and very nice staff, and good food, close to the valley of beautiful women.

Review 65:Our room was rather warm for this time of year, but if you open your window you will be fine.

Review 66:The best part of this hotel is the food and the location to the valley of beautiful women.

Review 67:wifi, first of all weak signal in some places, second is not working with Apple devices.

Review 68:help-full staff, good food in the retstaurant, nice spa and fitness

Review 69:Rooms could do with modernisation. It is all very clean, but they could turn it from a very good 4 star to a really great 5 star by doing up the rooms.

Review 70:Lovely countryside location and walking distance from the 'Valley of Beautiful Women'.

Review 71:The quality of the breakfast was at a medium level. The selection was wide, but the quality was rather low. I would prefer a smaller selection and better quality.

Review 72:The front desk staff were very helpful and allowed us to change from a downstairs room without balcony to one upstairs with a nice view. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Review 73:There is no WiFi in the rooms and the breakfast buffet ran out of options regularly; it seems the kitchen could not keep up. Our room was humid and had mold mildew in the closet.

Review 74:The restaurant was very good and there was a variety of breakfast food. The walk to "The Valley of Beautiful Women" is short and the walk into the centre is a pleasant 20 minutes. The staff was also very friendly.

Review 75:The aircondition dont work =) room were too hot and when you open window you got flu! Wifi doesnt work!

Review 76:Very nice buildings. And many saunas. Breakfast shoud change litttle in the morning.

Review 77:Staff were not very helpful apart form young lad on reception one night.Strange set us as both a 4 star and a 3 star hotel. Booking.com says 4star but you get put in the 3 star hotel. For some reason you cannot usethe spa after you check out at 10.30am unless you pay, so if onlystaying one night and you arrive late you cannot use the spa unless youare up early..

Review 78:Rooms nice size and clean.

Review 79:There was not communicated, the hotel is divided for two parts, for 3 and 4 stars. For lower price has to be highlighted!!

Review 80:Localisation is very good, mainly for wine lovers! :)

Review 81:Breakfast could have been more organized - at 9:30 lots of the food and supplies (spoon etc) were gone, some of the food were cold. Although we asked for them and staff was extremely helpful, so no hard feelings here.

Review 82:Nice and cozy rooms, beautiful area in a valley, helpful staff, nice bar, overall I highly recommend!

Review 83:I had some issues with the place: toilet was flushing for many minutes, it was very disturbing. The faucet in the sink was broken, therefore I always had to keep it in my hands while washing hands or teeth. No soap in the dispenser. I had to call the reception and ask for a room cleaning because they only folded the blankets which is not a room cleaning! They didnt wash the used glasses in the room. The wellness part was extremely dirty, spider-web on the chairs, broken tiles in the pool, dirty pool water. Cold breafast both the food and the restaurant, the food was not fresh at all. Cat hair on the couch in the lobby, and what made us even more angry that the restaurant's kitchen was below us and the washing mashines above our room, impossible to relax...The staff's behaviour in the wellness was very rude and impolite, I also complianed at the reception ... I will never visit this hotel again. The only positive thing is the location which is nothing to do with the hotel's mgmnt, simply as it is...

Review 84:the landscape and the szepasszonyvolgy

Review 85:Wifi is limited to the lobby area first. But, we found out if you get the password for 4 star area (spa area), it works for 3 star hotel area room, too.

Review 86:location. 10min walk from the famous the valley of beautiful women. Breakfast was good. Free access to indoor pool, sauna area.

Review 87:Breakfast was reasonable, but not quite up to the standard of the rest of the place (no fresh juice, bread was a bit dry). No elevator, which might be inconvenient, when carrying heavy suitcases. Unclear why we needed to pay for the parking place.

Review 88:Excellent location for visiting the nearby wine valley (few min walking distance) & city centre (5 min by car, 20 min walk), nice pool & garden, adequate room.

Review 89:Eger Castle lacks English translations for the artifacts explanations. The staff in Eger Castle does not speak English either

Review 90:Excellent food, both at the hotel and the restaurants in Eger

Review 91:We are a small family with a baby. We didnt like the small room, it was nothing like deluxr room as we havevordered and payed. Breakfast was very poor and all the time already eaten; stuff didnt cover the food on time. Wellness was very poor, swimingpool kinf of old. Good luck I had good massage.

Review 92:Bath room belong to my room at 3 stars part need to be renovated.

Review 93:Very helphul staff, hotel surroundings (garden), nice and relaxing atmosphere, pools sauna at the site- very convenient for children. Hungarian cuisine and wines.

Review 94:Breakfast just wasn't that great. Wifi only in the lobby

Review 95:Great location for visiting the nearby wine valley (5 min walk), great price, nice pool, adequate room, great deals at the spa.

Review 96:Modest breakfast no wifi in 3 star rooms no towels on arrival, then justbrought one towel tried to get us to pay for parking when advertised asfree parking staff are reserved and somewhat unfriendly

Review 97:Quiet, out of the way location spoke english well in reception spaincluded ( sauna , hot/warm pool)

Review 98:No hairdryer in rooms (three-star section)no wifi in rooms (three-star section) checkout time too early (10.30 am)

Review 99:Beautiful garden surroundings for restaurant and outdoor poolgym pretty well equipped good food and wine, reasonable prices

Review 100:Season hadn't started and therefore breakfast was a little spartan but for the money there were no complaints.

Review 101:Excellent deal. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Location was so relaxing.

Review 102:Breakfast was fine but not quite up to the standard of the rest of the place

Review 103:Great service very friendly staff, we even got upgraded to the four star suite as there were renovations going on in the room we booked

Review 104:The "wellness" facilities basically are for a "one family" size - notreally matching to the number of guests. The internet is quite slow (at the best time was coming up to the 1.5 Mbit/s). Four star room, chosen the option "king-size bed" at booking (or whatever term was used overthere) - received two beds side by side. - Quite inconvenient :) Passed a wintertime weekend in the hotel - the separated buildings for restaurant-wellness-lodging are inconvenient indeed. Restaurant is understaffed to the peek load. By their system utensils and napkins supposed to be on the table but those many times are missing so you have to wait for your spoon or knife and fork for a long time. To get a second set of utensils in case you have been choosing an appetizer where those were used hm seem to take forever.

Review 105:Friendly, polite staff. Nice place pretty close to the city center.Thinking of the good wines of Eger so forgetting driving - about 10 minutes walk from the historic city center. About the same distance from the famous valley of "Beauty Women" where some 48 cellars are offering wide range of fine wines. Good parking facility for some 5 U$ / day extra cost (pretty good price comparing to the parking fee in the valley where one supposed to pay 2 U$ / hours !) Internet from the rooms (well at least from the four stars ones). Good food, lots of choice, buffet type self service.

Review 106:good location, very nice recepcion

Review 107:Very good location in a picturesque valley; the indoor spa. Especially would like to accent the brilliant dishes served at the a-la carte dinner.

Review 108:Very friendly staff, great value for money.

Review 109:Dirt on the walls of the swimming pool.

Review 110:The architecture and the park is really nice.

Review 111:the restaurant was excellent, and so was the breakfast. the bar area in reception , very Nice. A short walk ,for a Norwegian, to Eger City centre.

Review 112:Breakfast, coffee

Review 113:garden, room design

Review 114:Great location, short walk from Szépasszony valley and 20 minutes from the city center. Helpful staff, good welness facilities.

Review 115:No food served after 2100, no shop to buy water and other essentials for room.

Review 116:Staff Room size

Review 117:The service in the restaurant of the hotel was low quality. Incredibly high price for a very modest buffet-dinner.

Review 118:Our room only had sky lights, no real windows, to ensure the view

Review 119:Clean, updated room and bathroom; nice pool area; great location

Review 120:Very, very nice.

Review 121:Not very comfortable beds

Review 122:Territory, location, rich breakfast

Review 123:air-condition dosn`t work

Review 124:beautiful views, buildings for a good money

Review 125:The proximity of a camping resulting in a noisy environment sometimes in the evening.

Review 126:Everything was ok,clean,relaxing

Review 127:Nothing

Review 128:Everything

Review 129:No wifi in the room , extra charge on parking

Review 130:Excellent and really nice Hotel, Luxury and great for Business or Romantic stay.

Review 131:The Hotel is not 4 Stars!

Review 132:Deluxe Rooms on the third floor have a very small roof window.

Review 133:Friendly staff, nicely renovated rooms.
