Reviews for Hotel Versilia

Review 1:The hotel was very good. The way the coastline was built was a bit disappointing. When you walk at the promenade you do not see much sea. Between the promenade and the sea there are restaurants and privat beaches. You can only see/hear/smell the sea at a few spots.

Review 2:the advice of the landlord, Roberto, who gave us a lot of tips. Nice location to visit Pisa, Luca and Carrata. 200m. away from the coast (promenade), this is a very quiet hotel

Review 3:We loved everything

Review 4:This lovey hotel is in a perfect locationonly short walk to beach. It is spotlessly clean and very well run. The staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. We loved the free bike hire and the beautiful well kept garden to relax in.

Review 5:Fantastic place to start in the mountains and explore most important places in Tuscany and Liguria. And of course beach :) sandy, big and only for 10 euro for place (umbrella, deck chair x2, chair). Free bikes, little old, but ok :)

Review 6:...but I must recomend to lock this bike wherever you move! Even though those bikes are 15+ years old, one of them has been stolen from us, when we forgot to lock it, and of course we had to pay for it. But the biggest problem for us was the overcrowded town of Lido di Camaiore (continuing Viareggio in fact) with just one overcrowded hypermarket. But even worse are the beaches. Maybe Italians and French, who are the most common tourists in this town, like such shallow and dirty water with rubbish and jellyfish. 99% beaches are private and just to enter you have to pay at least 13€/person and day ("very cheap" told us owner of our hotel). In this town you pay extra for everything, and everyone here wants only your money! E.g. hotels and restaurants have deals that customers of the hotel have 10% or 15% sale on food, but prices are so high, that you pay in fact the same or maybe more. We do not like this attitude to people, so we left after 2 nights. Let us not to be just stupid tourists. Even holidays have their limits (especially financial) for most of us, I think;-)

Review 7:Nice, new equipment of the hotel. Kind staff. Beautiful garden. Owners are really punctilious. Closeness of pictoresque historical towns like Pisa, Lucca, Florence etc. I would like to recommend restaurant La Cantina-no stupid sales, good prices and good quality. Possibility of borrowing bikes, but...

Review 8:The staff is super friendly. Considering the location and the facilities, the price is reasonable. The air conditioner works very well. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant of its own, but there are several restaurants in partnership, which gives 10-15% discount. The beach discounted price was 13 EUR per day, which I also found affordable for our four-day stay. The location is good, close enough to the beach and Viareggio (I biked a bicycle I borrowed for free from the hotel)

Review 9:Internet was not the best on the 2nd floor, good enough to check e-mailbut nothing more. The wardrobe in the room was too big, took most of thespace. The breakfast is a bit boring after the second day.

Review 10:The Family who is running the hotel is really friendly. Location isgreat for the beach. The free bikes were nice to ride in the city and togo for shopping. Room is clean and nice. Breakfast had home made cookieswhich were nice.

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:Very friendly owners, spotlessly clean and very tastefully furnished. Great breakfasts
