Reviews for Hotel Alpenrose

Review 1:Unfortunately our beds were as hard as a rock which made it difficult to sleep after a long day of skiing. I suggest that slightly softer mattresses (Apartments 13 and 16) would be a welcome addition for future guests.

Review 2:The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, and the apartments were very functional and spotlessly clean, at all times.

Review 3:Kettle in the room would be nice.

Review 4:Great apartment in a stunning, quiet location. Close to hotel which offers good facilities one might need when in the Dolomites( info about tours and activities, wellness centre). Really good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast. Delicious dinner, friendly service with always positive attitude. Room cleaned every day to the perfection. Highly recommended.

Review 5:The dinners are tasty but massive – five courses as standard. There were few healthy options available for the breakfast – too many things had added sugar. Overall it was difficult but not impossible to eat healthily. Also, I wish there was free wifi.

Review 6:They had a ski room to dry our motorbike gear, free parking for the motorbike. Very nice staff, polite and caring.

Review 7:Very helpful and kind people on the reception and in the restaurant, exceptionally well equiped appartment & hotel, great location, FANTASTIC food. We liked the BBQ picnic organised by the hotel on the hill!

Review 8:Were not allowed to use kitchen and this was not previously communicated. This resulted in us spending more on food and eating out than originally planned.

Review 9:The breakfast could have offered a little more. Especially meat.

Review 10:The really great half board dinner with great table setting and atmosphere. The cosy and nice SPA with aroma shower and steam bath. Big and fresh bathroom with great soaps, bath robes, slippers and really a lot of nice towels. Everything smells good in this hotel!

Review 11:Unstable/weak wi-fi signal (we stayed at the Dependance appartment). We missed some vegetable for breakfast.

Review 12:Great ham, bread and croissants for breakfast. Free bike rental. Table tennis. Perfect location for different walking trips.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:We were given an upgraded room from an annexed building to the main hotel at not extra cost. Also we had a junior suite, this was a real treat. The girl at check in was very friendly and generally the staff were excellent. Underground parking, biker friendly and a great village made this a really nice bike stop over. We would highly recommend this hotel in June as the area is quiet but the facilities are superb. Great value, clean and comfortable.

Review 15:The personnel and service that work in the hotel are great professionals and great persons. They helped us in everything we needed. We will back to this hotel for sure. The dinners were excellent. Not just food.

Review 16:Not English speakers It was not easy to communicate

Review 17:Location is great for traveling in the area. Great dinner. The Best value for money. Nice rooms. Ok for childrens. Great team in the restaurant . Nice spa

Review 18:The very clean and comfortable apartment (with private parking facility underneath the building) only 100 m from the main hotel building was perfect. Very good breakfast & supper with an excellent cook and service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well located hotel in a quiet village in the middle of the Dolomites.

Review 21:Everything. Friendly staff, quiet, confortable and clean apartment, covered parking, extra quality breadfast. Free wifi, Nice Arabba village. Close to different alpen motorbike pass routes

Review 22:We stayed in the Dependence, the apartments owned by Hotel Alpenrose. It was spacious, clean, with beautiful views from the balcony. The breakfast was great and it was only a short walk into the centre of Arabba where we found a great pizzeria. For what we got, it was fantastic value.

Review 36:weather was not good.

Review 38:Tons of stairs to hotel. Breakfast lacked veggies.

Review 39:Loved the atmosphere. Staff was super nice. Very romantic.

Review 40:A lovely clean hotel with very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Highly recommended.

Review 41:Speed of Wi-Fi is poor. Restaurant did not offer "à la carte" but menu was more than acceptable.

Review 42:Location, just near Passo Pordoi, excellent start for cycling. Price-quality is great, especially (or mainly) during summer season. Small sauna to satisfy limited number of guests. Very clean accomodation (even bike could stand inside).

Review 43:We never met the owner - it would have been nice had he/she introduced him/herself.

Review 44:We had two apartments in the dependance. The facilities were excellent. We liked the fact that our apartments were thoroughly cleaned every day and even our washing up was done for us. Anna was an excellent receptionist and Carlo, our waiter, couldn't have done a better job! He was superb and made our stay that bit more special.

Review 45:During my stay the village of Arabba has had 150cm of new snow, that has closed the ski lifts for 4 days and all roads out of the village are either blocked or officially closed. The Police are escorting some vehicles out to Corvara, for limited periods each day. This amount of new snow is once in a generation for Arabba, so it is taking time to clear roads and address avalanche safety. Although a little frustrating, at least the Hotel Alpenrose has kept me well fed, helped the best they can with the situation and with free wifi through out, I have been occupied. With the roads blocked or slow to be cleared in late January, I would suggest those visitors wanting to travel by car to other Dolomiti resorts, may find that this is not always possible in January. In early March 2012, when I first visited Hotel Alpenrose the roads were all clear and travelling around was much easier. The only aspect of the Alpenrose that in not to my taste, is the live music on two nights each week. First floor rooms above the reception area are best avoided. Ask for a quiet room and pack ear plugs, it is not an issue.

Review 46:My third visit to Hotel Alpenrose, because I have enjoyed my previous visits, so much. The owner is also head chef, so the food is consistently excellent. The salad bar at dinner is a welcome addition to the four course feast. Rooms are always very well cleaned each day. Staff are all very pleasant, plus genuinely interested in helping one solve any queries and have an enjoyable stay. I must make special mention of receptionist Anna, who is exceptional in her efforts to help everyone. For skiers the hotel is 100 metres off one of the black pistes, so if you can handle a little off piste, then the Alpenrose is ski in, ski out. For me it is a good location to explore other ski areas across the Dolomiti. Cortina, Civetta and Passo Rolle are all within day trip distance and covered by the Dolomiti Superski Pass, if the skiing of the Sella Ronda does not fulfil your needs. The car park under the hotel is bonus, as one avoids having to dig one's car out of a snow drift. Overall, a favourite of mine and I expect to visit the Hotel Alpenrose again.

Review 47:Spa center is too small and overfull.

Review 48:Very good spot location for skiing. It's on the slopes on sellaronda. Good value for money. Food and service are great.

Review 49:Everything was great. The best hotel where we have ever stayed. The staff, the apartment, the location and the price were all perfect. We chose the half-board option and the restaurant at Alpenrose is amazing! You just put ski boots and skis on and start skiing.

Review 50:Everything was great, one of the best hotels where we have ever stayed. The staff, the apartment, the location and the price were all perfect. We chose the half-board option and the restaurant at Alpenrose is amazing! Fully recommended and we will surely come back!

Review 51:One evening the dinner was so crowded that the staff was unable to keep track of what was going on. Should have called for more staff ehen thu knew they were full booked.

Review 52:Extremely service minded young girl in the reception. All our "problems" solved in a way that couldnt have been better. Large apartment made the stay for two adults and two teen-agers smooth and comfortable. Very good food - especially the dinner.

Review 53:There was nothing not to like.

Review 54:Lovely looking hotel outside and inside. Friendly helpful staff at reception. Lovely spacious double room with small outside area and beautiful views all around. Great plentiful breakfast.

Review 55:Town is nearby but is down a steep hill. Town is very quiet in the Summer evenings.
