Review 1：Wonderful stay! The B&B is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is great (although a bit strenuous if arriving by bicycle like we did ;) ) and breakfast was just delicious. But more than anything else (which was superb by itself), Maria and her husband showed an exceptional care, driving my husband and me all the way to a hospital in a nearby town, where I needed to have some stitches removed due to an earlier accident. She even entered into the medical room with me to help communicating with the medical staff. It was all done with a lot of care and a big smile, and for that we are grateful.

Review 2：The B&B is located very conveniently to explore the area by car and the quality of interior leaves an impression that you live in a museum. Everything is tidy and in a very good condition. Breakfast is fabulous with variety of local bakery, fresh fruits, juice, hot drinks. Hospitality of the hosts is outstanding, I had an emergency health problem and needed to go to a hospital not speaking Italian at all - Maria treated me as her son to do her best to help. Had an amazing time and highly recommend.

Review 3：Maria could not do enough for us from offering us drinks on arrival until we left after a wonderful breakfast. The house is beautifully furnished and spotless with generous size rooms with balconies. Its a few minutes from the castle. It was our favourite stay of our trip.

Review 6：Maria was very welcoming and helpful, as well as generous. The room was huge (I was traveling solo) and very clean and quiet. The breakfast was fantastic! A lot of food and very good. Maria's husband Luigi is very nice too. I really enjoyed my time there, it was very relaxing.

We stayed in the Blue room, a very nicely furnished room with its own terrace (where we had our delightful breakfast every morning). The owner Maria is lovely and shows the greatest hospitality. In addition, the B&B has a kitchen available for guests to use. We warmly recommend B&B La Rosa Antica!

Review 13：We had a perfect stay in the well-furnished pink room. Staff is very helpful and ready to give you a hint or have a chat. Getting up with the wonderful breakfast is such a good start! There is a kitchen available for guests. Good location, just a few steps to get to old town.

Review 15：The landlady, Maria, was very nice indeed and helpful. Excellent breakfast and clean and comfortabel room with a terrass (the blue room). Situated off Castro Marina in the upper parts of the town close to the old castle. Guests are also welcome to use the stove in the dining room where you can cook your own pasta. In the dining room there is also a TV-set with BBC!

Review 16：nothing! just be aware that the B&B is in the centre of Old Castro, that's a castle above the sea, so you cannot walk to the beach, expecially during the summer when it can be 40° hot. The area has plenty of lovely bays and hidden rocky shores, so I advice to have a motorbike to go around and explore, or a small car if you're a family. There are many panoramic roads so travelling a few kms around it's an experience to not be missed!

Review 17：I'm from Lecce, I already knew the area, I used to spend summer nearby Castro with my family many years ago, so I wanted to go back with my partner for a short holiday. La Rosa Antica is Salento at his best, I can say that staying there is really feeling at home. The owner (Maria) is a friendly, funny woman full of energy and good humor. And the service is a 4 stars hotel quality. We had a large room with private bathroom and a balcony, almost a suite! Having breakfast in the garden with fresh fruits and local bakery products is pure romance. We rented a vespa to travel there from Lecce and we had a garage for the night for free. It was perfect! Really hope to go back there next summer possibly with other friends or relatives too!
